Akiliano strolled along the shores of Matori water; this was a new place to him and it seemed like a nice place to live, with the sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the shoreline to the refreshing scent of the ocean water all around. He contiued to stroll along the length of the shore lines as his eyes scanning around to take in the views that surrounded him. Curious as he was as to how big this shoreline was, he wished he had some sort of company, it almost seemed lonely when he was by himself.
He stretched and put his hands behind his head his fingers interlocking at the back of his head as he strode. Wondering what he would discover on this excursion. Maybe some tide pools, maybe learn something new or perhaps meet a new friend, all were possibilities and he would just let whatever happen, happen he was laid back like that. He hummed quietly to himself as he listening to the waves crashing.

Akea 1
Akea stood up from a prone position in the tide pool where she had been collecting food for the last 20 minutes. She plunked some of her catch in a bucket and ate some fresh escargot on the spot.
Foraging was hungry work after all. Idly and belatedly she scanned the beach for any threats. This was when she noticed a figure approaching along the beach.
Curious she waved in a friendly manner trying to catch the others attention. She hadn't seen that many new faces out here.
Also she was reasonably sure the persons hair was blue but a light blue. How neat!

Akiliano blinked as a figure popped up out of nowhere, the tilted his head curiously, he wasn't even aware that he wasn't by himself. He got lost in his thoughts for second, well it was beach so there was always at least one or two others around somewhere. He just didn't noticed this one, he shook his head to get himself out of his thoughts before deciding to wander over and investigate.
He shifted his direction towards where he saw the wave and approached the other "I did not notice you there, my apologies for that." he said before tilting his head to the side a bit curious as to what she was doing "what has intrigued you?" he asked curiously.

Akea 2 "Don't worry, I was wallowing in the tidepool there, looking for edibles and when I stood up, there you were." She nodded respectfully at him. "My name is Akea and I don't usually see too many new people around so I guess I just got a little curious is all." He seemed friendly enough and like her seemed to be an interesting mix. "Its good to see more Kahikinians about." For a time it had only been her parents in their tiny village but things were beginning to get a little more active she was excited to see. Not that she minded her earthling friends but they could never swim for long enough.

Aki 3Akiliano blinked and tilted his head "Edibles in a tidepool?" he asked curious, he wasn't even aware there were edibles in tidepools, clearly his exposure was very limited on hunting an scavenging for food in areas where there was potential to have edibles roaming around. He needed to increase exposure in new places that was for sure, which was the reason why he had yet to find a place to set down roots.
"Nice to meet you Akea; My name is Akiliano or Aki for short" he told her politely. "Do you not see that many around here?" he asked curious, you would there would tons especially near the oceans and such because Kahikinians thrived near waters.

Akea 3 "Yes!" She proudly displayed her bucket of limpets, crabs, sea grass, snails and small fish. "There is an octopus in here too, but he keeps escaping so I've decided to leave him alone." She hummed sweetly at the sound of his name. "Wow, your name is really nice, kind of melodic even." She looked out across the beach, "I think its still a bit rare to see others just because my town is very small still, but it keeps getting better every year. Some families even seem to be staying. It is not so boring anymore."

Aki 4He glanced into her bucket looking at the variety of edibles she found in the tide pools. "Is that all from one tide pool? or is that from more then one?" he asked her curious to find out more. He squatted down by the tidepool she was looking in trying to see if he could see the octopus. Having no luck he glanced back up at her "I would think a tide pool would be too small for a octopus to hang out in" he said thoughtfully.
He grinned up at her "Thank you! you are the first to say that about my name" he told her with a smile, before running a hand through his hair. He was definitely gonna get a subtle beach look going with his hairstyle. He stood back up and looked across the beach as well and how quiet it was "That makes sense, I'm sure though more families will turn up settle down. Its a nice place to settle down and build roots" he told her.
He frowned a bit as she said it was boring "I'm sorry to hear that it was boring, but i'm sure you made some friends with the few that already lived here when you came" he told her politely.

"It is from two actually, I started at that one way over there and walked her to fill the rest of the bucket." He was chatty and it delighted her. She had friends but they tended to live more inland and it was sometimes a pain to get there. She was happy to chat back to him. "Oh him? He likely got stuck when the tide went out and hes too chicken to risk the crawl quite yet but then again there was likely good fishing in the tide pool and then he was lazy and I got her and now hes hiding." Brat. Wow he had a great smile. "Yes I have quite a few earthling friends for which I am grateful. It certainly is a good spot to settle, my parents sure like it here." She did too but there was so much out there that she hadn't seen yet. She and her parents occasionally visited the Kahikinian side but she hadn't explored any of tendaji yet. "Have you travelled far to get here?"

Akiliano stood back up to, his regular height and nodded his head as she showed him where she started, which didn’t seem too far off. He tilted his head to the side “ what did you find in the first tidepool?” He asked her. He was curious about all her discoveries.
He chuckled lightly as she made the octopus sound like it was being a brat for her. “Well, I mean if only he would make an appearance we can help him get back to the ocean if he’s too afraid to do it himself” he told her his laugh reaching his eyes. He was amused with her personality and humour, it was hard to find anyone who had he carefree attitude she had about everything.
He lightly rubbed the back of his neck with a hand “sort of, but it was worth it. Besides I enjoy the adventure of discovering new places and such, you know just to get the feel of each place and see where I would like to settle down In the future” he admitted a little shyly.Aki 5

Akea 5 "A lot of the oysters on the bottom came from there, I'm hoping to find some pearls in them too." She blinked at him innocently. "Well I was going to eat him. So perhaps his fear is a bit warranted." It was sweet of him to want to save it. Something that seemed to be rare in the current population. She looked at him with her odd colored eyes and smiled too. "I want to see way more than I have. One day when I'm old enough to adventure. I want to see as much of tendaji as I can, maybe even Belrea." Did he know he was adorable? There were not many adorable people out there. Though her parents were good examples.

He nodded his head listening to her and tapped his chin thoughtfully. "although, i'm pretty sure you have shuck the oysters to find those, maybe if you find enough you can make something of them" he suggested to her. Once she told him she was planning to eat the poor octopus, he couldn't blame the little guy for his fear. He chuckled lightly at the thought.
He then glanced at her, he definitely liked her different colored eyes and she was also pretty adorable in her own way that it amused him and made him enjoy her company more.Aki 6

Akea 6 "That is a good idea, maybe I will make matching bracelets for my Dads. That way even when they are apart they would in some way be together." The thought warmed her heart. "Thank you for the idea." She offered him an oyster. "If you find a pearl you can have one." There were many oysters out there for the picking. "Do you want to come with me to drop this off and we could look for more oysters?" She didn't always invite strangers but she didn't sense anything negative from him.

Akiliano took the oyster she offered him and tucked it way so he could shuck it later. He thought for a mintue a little hesitant that she would invite him to come along, even though they had just met not too long ago. After a few mintues of thinking about it thoughtfully he nodded his head "sure, I would love to accompany you" he answered with a smile.
"I will be sure to shuck it when I have time to see if I do find a pearl in it" he told her with a pleasant grin. He gestured in front him for her to go first "after you" he said since he wasn't sure where they were headed.Aki 7

"My home isn't far and there is another bucket so we can split the treasures we find." It would be so fun to have someone to go with when she was hunting. There were more tidepools up the shore that she hadn't searched for a long time.
"My parents should be working." She didn't particularly want to explain that she had invited a stranger over. But if they had met him they likely would have come to the same conclusion and there was a chance that he might become a friend.
She needed more friends.
She led him home, tucked away the first finds where her parents would find them when they came home to start the evening meal and taking an extra bucket she swam back to shore with her companion.
"I havent checked the more western tidepools for a while so we should find lots of treasures."

Akiliano followed Akea to her home before chilling out on shore for her to stash away the bucket full of the first finds she had before he had interrupted her. He would not be against splitting the treasure they found, maybe if they found enough oysters with enough pearls he could make something out of them from hand, but for that he would need to ask for assistance.
After a few mintues she had come back with a empty bucket and suggested they make a trip to the western tidepools. "That sounds good to me" he said to her, he would let her take the lead since he wasn't sure where the best tidepools were located to find better treasures.
