Day # 13 Theme: Redraw an old art piece Time spent: 4 hours
OLD (you can click it to view it on DA! 2013):
NEW (click to view full size!):
Comments: This was really really hard. I wanted to do the same pose but the old pose is not anatomically accurate and I felt it was super stiff. While I was working on this, I got super frustrated. I thought that I probably wouldn't show much improvement, but now that I see them side by side, I really like the new one a lot better. It's more anatomically correct, the pose is more natural, the hair is much more natural and not spaghetti, I can draw hands now!, I have gotten a lot better at backgrounds, a lot better at light and shadow, better at making things look 3d, and I have refined my style a lot more.
Basically I (and everyone else doing this!) should have more confidence in myself(themselves), even if it seems impossible xp
