The parks were a normal place for most powered people to go, Storm was beginning to realize. She wasn't sure why, though she enjoyed all the trees around. Even in the winter as they were now, peeking out of snow cover. Some still had leaves--pine needles, but still leaves, according to her ComTech. Electrical lights loomed bright around pathways and playgrounds, or wide paved areas apparently used for different sports.
Away from those brightly lit areas, though, where plants grew denser even without all their leaves, she frowned as she noticed a man walking not far from another woman. The woman in turn kept glancing over her shoulder here and there, pace quick as she tried to power walk along the path. The man kept an even, if still rapid pace, following along after her. Storm scowled, pulling her hood up over her bright hair as she began to tail them. She'd only been here a short while, and already she was beginning to grow familiar with how some people on Earth were just creeps, as one phrasing worked.
The winding trails caused her to lose track of them for a short period, cussing slightly under her breath till she caught sight of a large, lilac and black cat making a quick pace down one of the paths she'd come to a fork at. Letting go of her glamour with the help of her ComTech, Daesva picked up the pace, jogging till she caught up with the feline who bristled at her approach.
"Oh, it's you," the Mauvian blinked, staring up at the Cadet.
"Daesva," she offered, and the Mauvian inclined her head. They hadn't exactly had a chance to exchange information after...
"Realta," the feline said simply, sniffing the air as her tail puffed. "Were you following--?"
"The creep? Yes."
The Mauvian chuckled, apparently amused to hear the Velencian use the word, but nodded, indicating they were on the right path now. Up ahead, a woman--perhaps the one Daesva had seen being followed by the guy--screamed, and Realta hissed. "I sense a corrupt senshi up ahead," she warned the Cadet, who in turn checked her ComTech--Chaos energy signature. Great.
Daesva lurched forward, drawing her blaster and rounding a bend before she spotted someone over the man she'd been tailing. Clenching her jaw, she didn't ask questions before she lifted the gun, and fired a blast.

Lazurite had a quote to fill, and if that quota included helping girls who were being stalked by a creepy old man, well. So be it. She wasn’t heartless...and this guy had it coming. Honestly, he was lucky she didn’t just pluck his starseed and grind it under her heel. Nobody should be allowed to fill someone with that much panic and fear and just get away with it.
So, the girl had run and Lazurite felt quite proud of herself, with the creep on the ground, her hand around his raised wrist as she drained his energy slowly, making sure to get enough that he would feel it for a few days. He deserved to really think about his wrongdoing–
The blast hit her square in the chest and Lazurite yelped in surprise, dropping the arm of the stalker and slipping her ball of energy away where it couldn’t be harmed. “Excuse you? I’m over here doing a good deed, don’t go shooting me, holy s**t.”
Squinting at who shot her, she saw something that…didn’t look like a senshi…and the…what?
“...What…are you?” Her eyes slid to the light colored cat by her side and she nodded at it, “I know what you are, kitty, but…what is she?”

Daesva was at least relieved that the shot drew the corrupt senshi's attention from her target to her. She realized the feline wasn't wrong--the uniform had various features she'd seen on the White Moon senshi, but... a lot more black. A lot more.
Weird how they color-coded themselves. Though, the thistle-coloring of the Vanguard probably meant she couldn't talk, she knew they at least chose that. Why did senshi colors work like this? Huh.
The Cadet kept her pistol up, eye trained on the senshi. When the questions were met with silence, it was the feline who gave a slight snort. She'd shot the alien a glare at how quickly she'd fired. Draining wouldn't kill someone, not unless the agent got really carried away so far as she knew, and the senshi's hands weren't anywhere near the man's chest.
"One of the Vanguard," Realta replied simply, nose twitching towards the man who was no more than a heap on the ground. "And while you were well and good in getting this man away from his target, I won't even argue about draining him really, any Negaverse agent can rip out a starseed. It's safer to be weary of this fact." The Savannah began to move closer, tail puffed up and the fur along her back bristled. She could see the man's chest slightly rise and fall. Not dead. Pale eyes refocused on the senshi, muscles already tense to unleash her claws.

It was almost funny, how being dressed down, being told that any member of the Negaverse could rip out a starseed. Couldn’t the cat just…apologize for being wrong? For talking before realizing what was really going on?
She watched the feline move as though she were going to attack, and Lazurite frowned, giving an annoyed sigh.
“One of the Vanguard. Haven’t heard of that before, but. It’s a pleasure.”
The sarcasm was thick in her voice, and well. This really hadn’t been the plan but…since the cat wanted to be so stuck up, so angry with her just for what she was…well.
She’d give her a reason to attack.
Her hand slipped into the chest of her chosen pervert of the night and slid his starseed from his chest.
Looking right into the eyes of the Mauvian, Lazurite gave a smirk, and crushed the small gem in her hand.
“Whoopsie.”
She let the crushed pieces of the starseed fall on the man's chest and shrugged. "One less predator out in the city."

A red brow quirked up. She hadn't heard of the group of non-Earthlings working, sort of, with the Negaverse? The communication systems of the Negaverse were unknown to her, so for all she knew it could have been something that wasn't widely spoken about.
Still made her want to roll her eyes, though she refrained to keep focused on the senshi.
Eyes that went wide as she saw the corrupt slip her hand into his chest, only proving the feline right in her concerns. "Put it back," the Cadet shouted, even as the Mauvian began to bolt towards the senshi.
The second that it took Daesva to pull the trigger on the gun, quicker than seconds that it took Realta to race towards them, was all it took for the starseed to be shattered. The Cadet fired, shouting in her native tongue, her pulse roaring in her ears. Another one. Another one was gone. What the <********> was wrong with these people?
Realta snarled, knowing she was too late to do anything, but fury made the pearlesque star on her forehead glow. A beam of light shot from it, straight towards the senshi she was already running towards. "You filth need to leave these streets," she snarled in a near shriek of her own.
Even if the man himself was disgusting, he didn't deserve this. He could have been reborn. He could have had another, better life. In one flippant moment, this ridiculous child stole that.
Orangeish Sherbert Laser: This expends a large amount of a Guardian Cat’s energy but is capable of stunning a target. It doesn't do damage, but it can stun a human or any average youma entirely. See above for gun~

The moment the starseed had shattered, Lazurite did feel a surge of guilt. She…had never killed before and honestly..it didn’t feel as great as she figured that it would…but. At least the person she had removed had been someone who deserved it. And, she was sure it wouldn’t keep her up at night.
…Probably.
The fact that the damn Vanguard person and the cat both chose to attack her, and both the gun and ******** beam? What the hell? They both hit her and she cried out despite her best intention of not doing that. Damn. She didn’t want them to think she was weak but…damn.
Her chest was burning and her whole body was tense and seemed to be…buzzing slightly. Lazurite tried shaking her head, tried to snap herself out of whatever had happened, and finally she moved, jerky and slowly. “Sweet Drop!” The words were spat out, and she threw the ball as hard and far as she could, hoping to get the attention of these two off of her so she could crawl away. Or run, running would actually be much more ideal.
Getting to her feet took more effort than she wanted to admit and she shuddered, one hand clutching her still burning chest as she worked to make her escape.Kaefaux Lazurite forms a golfball sized orb of shimmering nectar which draws a person’s attention to it, smelling sweet and rather alluring. The ball can be thrown or put on herself if she is trying to draw someone closer, and the alluring smell lasts for twenty seconds. She can use this magic three times per battle.

Realta almost never used her laser. It was a hell of a thing to send out, and the weakness from the energy lost was not something she enjoyed feeling. Even now, she had to come to a stop, bracing herself to keep herself from wobbling. She continued to bristle and hiss, grateful at least that there was someone else with her during this. Someone else who was equally furious.
Daesva was stepping forward, gun still raised, words flying from her mouth wishing nothing but for the corrupt to be sent right on back to the Cauldron immediately. Her teal eyes were dark, only seeing the slow, jerky movements from the senshi as a good thing. All the easier to send her starseed back and hope she has a far more useful life in the next.
But then the b***h used magic.
Both the Velencian and Mauvian looked up, the former's nose scrunching up at the smell, the latter looking vaguely dazed. Both, at least for the corrupt, seemed to have had their attention diverted for the moment.

Lazurite gave a relieved sigh and finally was able to break into a run, vanishing into the night and lowering her glamor when she was far enough away from the feeling of the cat.
They couldn’t get to her now…and…
Honestly, she wanted to go home, get a shower and maybe…throw up her dinner.
But. This was fine. Completely fine.

Both managed to shake off the pull of the shimmering fluid, Daesva beginning to chase after the corrupt--or at least, where she thought she saw the chick head towards--before Realta called her back.
"You'll only waste energy right now," the Mauvian told her softly, looking at the collapsed man as she summoned her keychain from subspace. It was exhausting, but she activated it, feeling nauseous as she took on a human form. Half crawling over to him, she set to work on performing CPR. He was still alive, though he'd never regain consciousness. His body was still alive even after his soul was gone.
"...are you able to make calls using your tech there?" She referenced the device on Daesva's wrist, who glared back at the... well. No longer cat. She looked human now, and it was a startling sight for the Cadet. Still, she looking between the man and the direction she thought his killer ran off in. "...Daesva," Realta called gently, keeping time of her compressions and when to force air into him in her head. She needed the rest. She felt dizzy, and even being in this form for a temporary period was only taxing her further. "You need to call emergency services, get an ambulance here. I can keep him breathing and his heart pumping for a short period, but he needs medical attention immediately."
"Why bother?" The shout from the Cadet made Realta jump slightly, but she scowled, continuing her work. "He's dead! She just... she just killed him!"
"And he will die, even with medical help," Realta confirmed, not looking up. "But if he is in the hospital, they can contact his family or next of kin, if he has any. They can see him before his body gives out. They will not have the closure they want, but they will have something."
Even with her human hearing, Realta could hear the shaky, wet intakes of breath from the Cadet. Her voice was unsteady as she made the call for help, and when Realta glanced up, she saw a human woman standing somewhat near her, trying to give dispatch directions.
By the time the EMTs got there, Realta was nearly about to collapse herself. She confirmed Daesva's--Storm's, as she found out--accounts of what happened. They came upon the collapsed man, and Realta began doing CPR when she realized he wasn't breathing. They had no other information.
By the time they left, the man on a stretcher, she all but fell over where she sat, reverting back to a feline form. Gentle hands lifted her up, cradling the cat. Briefly, Realta felt them tighten around her, felt a forehead rest against her own, and could smell the salt and tang of tears. She said nothing, but purred softly, offering the only comfort she could against the reality of such simple, brief, cataclysmic choices.
