Zasha 1
She may or may not be a bit lost in the Matorian jungle. There were trees for as far as she could see. Sh was reasonably sure that she was near to the beating heart of this great forest. The air pulsed with life and birdsong. She was handing upside down in a tree, wondering what her best course of action would be when she noticed a figure walking in the undergrowth.
“Dad?” she whispered, peeking between the leaves. She grinned madly and silently climbed closer to the lower branches of the tree. She adored messing with her Father’s feelers and this was the perfect opportunity.

Syaaryn had taken a gentle walked and had ended up quite deep in the forest. Ever the opportunist he decided to go rare herb hunting. A small current of air woofed past one of his feelers. It twitched and he looked up and only saw leaves...strange. Maybe there was a small breeze? No? Hrmm.
He kept walking then paused for a little while under the tree, searching the bark of the trunk for a rare moss.

She didn’t let her inner giggle escape her lips as she teased her Father, she ghosted over top of him and again waved at the air just next to his feeler.
He was almost completely blocked by the leaves, but if he had not been he would have easily seen her perched up there above him in the tree.
He was acting more gullible than normal. Had her Father forgotten their game so soon?

Okay, something strange was going on. There was no wind at all. There was also no firemoss, he was heading out form underneath the tree itself when he heard a distinct crackle, snap and then a racket as if someone was falling, he didn’t have much time, just enough to look up .
His eyes widened and he was caught completely by surprise when a youngling fell into his arms from above. Of everything he had expected this was not it.

The branch holding her weight had snapped and just like that she was air born and had very few options about what to do about it. She managed to just get a squeak out as gravity took its inconvenient hold on her body. Suddenly she was in the arms of a male that was quite obviously not her Father. Well that explained why he hadn’t remembered the game. She smiled brightly.
“I’m sorry, I thought you were my Dad, he also has feelers.” She shrugged innocently.

He smirked. “Well this explains a lot.” He set the child down on the ground and brushed himself off, removing a leaf caught in the little girls hair.
“Maybe not the best hair decoration out there.” He paused, they were quite far from the village, “Are you out here for a particular reason by chance?” She might need help to get back to town, she was too young to be this far from an adult.
“We are pretty far from home.”

She grinned, “ What are you doing so far out here sir.” She was being cheeky but well, it was part of who she was. It ran in her family and she couldn’t change that. He didn’t look all that much older than her for all that he was super tall like her Dad. He knew how to get back to town though and she did not.
“Alright fine, I kinda, sorta got lost. If you would be so kind as to point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.”
Even she could admit when she needed help and she was sure she had seen him around the market. Maybe he and her Father could be friends.

Well at least her sense of humor did not get in the way of her logic. He bet she was a bright girl.
“Well, I don’t’ feel right letting you walk back without protection, I would feel awful if something did happen. How are you at identifying plants and herbs? I’m on a collecting mission and I could use your help, in return I’ll walk you back to town after, to ensure your safe arrival.”

Well that was a mighty fine offer if she said so herself. “Dad has taught me a few that are good for teas and basic first aid and emergency food, but I don’t think either of my parents know that many herbs.”
She brightened, “But I’m a fast learner, everyone says so.” She was amused that she was bartering herb gathering skills for an escort home, but collecting plants was fun and she bet he would take her back now if she put on a proper waterworks show for him. But now she was too interested in the herbs to use her darker powers of manipulation.

Sensing a potential herbalist prentice, he went very in depth in his teaching so that she had as much useful information as possible. Moss, forbs, healing herbs, trees, useful grasses and an introduction to mushrooms.
“You seem to be absorbing all of his rather well, don’t you think? Maybe you should consider a career path that has to do with plants. “
She would have a myriad of options and it was always a good skill to have. People who knew herbs were popular in adventure and mercenary parties.

She paused, most of her family had actiony jobs, jobs requiring the finesse to pound metal into weapons or art. She had no idea what Iexa wanted to be and Lync had chosen the beast master path which sounded fun. It might be good to have a healer perhaps?
“Maybe a healer? My faily sees to be good at getting into trouble and not all that great yet at getting out of it.” She smiled sheepishly, she did worry about them.

To him every plant had a spiritm they reveale their differentces ike shy but willing maidens flirting for the first time and in turn he loved and protected them and only killed the plant when there was not other choice in harvesting.
“They all have their own lives and fight individual battles with an environment chosen for them by the wind.” It was natural poetry with a common theme.

She raised an eyebrow at his utter enthusiasm initially but eventually she relaxed into it and got just as excited as he was. Then it seemed to be easier to remember all the information being blasted at her by her exuberant teacher.
“Thank you for teaching me all of this, I’m having more fun than I thought possible. I like knowing all of their little planty secrets.”
It was like gossip that no one else got to know except for the people looking after the plants.

“It is way more fun to teach you then it would be to simply be gathering herbs all the way out here by myself, at least this way I have someone to talk to. It was kind of like having a sibling for the first time in his life. It was so much fun. She was active and curious and asked whatever questions came to her mind, which were many. She would make a fine student for the right teacher one day.
“You know I know someone else who lives in town who is an expert on plants.”

She tilted her head, “Oh really?” She was intrigued. Learning about all the different plants was so much fun. Her stomach grumbled. “Can we discuss it on the way back? If we have gotten enough herbs, I am rather hungry now and my family might have started to worry about me.” Better to head back into town. Least her family find them instead and get the wrong idea. That maybe he had stolen her. Her brothers could be a bit rash and they covered the most ground in a search.LY
