Quote: Prompt 7 (Snowbunnies): Winter seems to bring out the cutest of all rodents; this isn’t the first time that small, white rabbits have infested Destiny City. They’re small, rarely larger than a guinea pig, and have large eyes and wiggling noses. They are always pure white and seem to show up whenever there’s snow. They aren't menacing or evil, they're just everywhere. They seem strangely domesticated; they are sweet, curious, and friendly creatures that will eat anything you give them. They always seem cold to the touch, and when they shake, little snowflakes sprinkle off of them. While they seem to be social creatures who seem to appreciate anything warm and will cuddle up to steal body heat, they are too skittish and fast to be kept for pets. They can show up just about anywhere, either alone or--often--in pairs. They tend to wander off on their own without any trouble, but if you surprise them or try to catch or hurt them, they may bite. Their little teeth are enough to break skin, but after one bite they run away. The bite itself isn’t bad, but the effects are a bit unpleasant: for roughly two days after the bite, the injury is cold and the victim will feel random, cold, shooting pains. Their core body temperature will drop and they will often be sent into random fits of shivering. No medicine seems to help, and no amounts of blankets or hot baths can soothe the chill. You're just going to have to deal with it and hope it gets better… Most experiences with the bunnies are perfectly pleasant, you just have to worry about them burrowing. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains. The bunnies always leave with the snow, so best to enjoy them--or avoid them--for as long as you can.

He was wrapped up in a thick, puffy vest, a jacket, and a scarf. River's hair was in a tight braid today, since the wind was whipping around him as soon as he stepped outside.
Headed to meet Kor at the park. Honestly he was surprised. Their meeting left him feeling very unsure of where he was with Kor and his... group? That was also something to battle with. He had been exclusive with Kor, at least after they hurt each other enough with trying to cheat with other people. Or getting caught flirting, something like that. It had seemed to solve the problem. They had been happy.
At least that's what he thought. What he could remember. He didn't remember everything, but he did remember they hurt each other, and then they'd been happy until the end.
Either way, he was now at the park, having zoned out while he had walked the short distance from his rented apartment to the place.
By the fountain. That's where he said to meet them. Kraven was coming too. Something about grabbing a late lunch.

[Meet me by the fountain in the north park. Well, me and Kray. Gonna take you to a late lunch?] [k] Well that made Kor anxious. Cellphones weren't really a thing when they had gotten together. He rubbed his neck and shrugged. River said ok, in so many words, so he'd be there. It didn't make this any easier. That anxious knot was back in his stomach as he got dressed. The snow was finally in Destiny City, so he had dragged his winter clothes out. A lot of it was still too big, but not as big as he had thought. He pulled on a thick sweater, some leggings, then pants over those, boots, scarf, and gloves. He'd talked to Derek already to let him know. It had actually been one of Derek's suggestions. Kor was worried about Derek, had been trying to spend extra time with him ever since River had literally shown up to his doorstep. Went out of his way to give as much love and attention to him as he could. Kray dropped Kaz off to spend time with Derek, and the pair were out, heading to the park. They were both walking too, because Kor really had to calm himself down. Out of the corner of his eye, as they neared the park, he caught a glimpse of one of those cute bunnies he saw pictures of. "Look," he said, nudging Kraven gently.

Kraven pocketted his phone after checking his messages. Ezra had been blabbering about something and in all honesty, Kray had no clue what in the world his brother was going on about. "Is the kid holding up okay?" He asked, giving the other's hand a gentle squeeze. The taller man made a soft noise when nudged, giving the shorter man his attention. "Hmm?" He blinked, glancing in the direction Kor pointed. He'd heard about the rabbits but hadn't put much merit behind the stories. The city had definitely seen stranger. "Huh... So it's not people just making s**t up.." He said softly, trying not to startle them.

"He's..." Kor shrugged a little, rubbing his thumb over Kray's hand. "He's hard to read. I don't know him like we used to. I think so?" Even to himself he didn't sound very convincing. The grin couldn't be stopped as Kray acknowledged the bunnies and snickered a little. "What if we brought one home? To Derek and Kaz. Think they'd throw a fit, or be all coos and kisses?" At least it was a distraction from the more serious thoughts that kept pushing to the front of his head. It wasn't actually that much longer before they rounded the path and found River at the fountain. Kor raised his other hand in greeting. "Riv!" ====== Those bright purple eyes turned toward the voice, and a gloved hand came out as well. River looked tired, as he always did, hair braided to keep it from whipping around in the wind. "Hey." He looked over to Kray and let a little half smile appear on his lips. "...No boyfriends?"

"We'll figure it out... " They would try to meet everyone's needs and wants.... Somehow... "Kaz might like em? He tends to like cute animals." These rabbits seemed to fit that bill... "As far as Derek... Maybe? Though knowing his luck, it would hate him too like MF." There would probably be a fit in the beginning, they were still trying to figure how to coexist in a house together, even if it was just a few hours a day. "Hey Minnow..." He said softly. Kraven sighed softly, as his shoulder's sagged. "Nope... Just me."

"Kray is my boyfriend though." He looked over at the taller man and Kor nudged him gently before winking. "So technically, yes, there is a boyfriend here. But no, uh..I thought we would kinda catch up." He hoped this wasn't overstepping or anything. Though Kor's attention did wander off from both of them to the bunnies. Ugh, they were too cute. He wanted to pet one. How would he do that? River made a surprised face and then looked uncomfortable and immediately apologetic. "I didn't...mean it like that. I apologize..." He couldn't even meet their gazes right now. He was looking down at their feet, hair shielding him. This was the most awkward meeting. It felt worse than the first time at Kor's apartment already. "I'm not used to... ah, your type of situation."

Kray blinked, glancing at Kor when the other nudged him. The corner of his lips twitched upwards and he huffed a soft noise. "It's alright Minnow... You didn't mean anything by it..." It was never something they'd considered, even back then. When Kor got distracted by the bunnies, Kray rolled his eyes. "He says catch up, but he's clearly more focused on the rabbits that seem to all over the city." Kray shrugged. "Situation makes it sound like a bad thing.. It's a little confusing yeah. But we're making it work." Catching up on lost time, letting old wounds heal over. "There is nothing to apologize for."

"Look at them, though! They're so cute..." Kor huffed and turned back to look between his two friends, grinning wide. It was good to see them both. Though unsettling considering... well, a lot of things, but he never thought he'd see River. It did funny things to his chest and stomach. River just slowly glanced back up and gave a little noise. His memories were still so fresh with Kor. He was still with the man, from everything his heart was saying. But he'd keep that secret. So he settled for pushing hair out of his eye and the familiar nicknames. "Both of you have one snuggled up to your legs now, though," River whispered, pointing down. They had just hopped up.

"I'm amazed he hasn't tried to adopt a whole spca yet..." He said to River. Kraven stiffened, looking down at the rabbit that had made itself comfortable between his boots. He glanced between River and Kor before back down at the bunny. "... Do you think it will let me pick it up?" The taller man asked quietly, trying not to disturb the rabbit.

Kor slowly looked down, grinning when he saw a bunny snuggled up to one of his legs. He cooed softly and made little pinching motions with his fingers at it, but didn't try to bend or anything. "They're so cute, ugh. My heart." River watched the pair of them, a smile on his lips spreading wider as he did. "They don't seem to be unfriendly. They might let you pet them, at least..." Picking up a wild animal didn't seem like a good idea. No matter how cute they were. Easier said than done when he felt one pulling at his pant leg curiously, right on the front of his boot. "Where did you come from?" He looked around, and there were one or two more approaching them.

Kraven just chuckled quietly as he watched Kor. "I wonder where any of them came from..." He said quietly, trying to kneel without startling all the rabbits around them. Kray wondered vaguely if the others had seen any of the rabbits on their walk, but decided against voicing his thoughts. Instead, he offered a hand to the rabbit. Holding it out for the small animal to sniff at. "Do you think someone set a bunch of rabbits loose? As a prank?"

The rabbit did sniff at that finger, then looked like it was going to cuddle right up. Instead, however, it opened it's mouth, and gave Kraven a bite, before darting off a distance. It was as if the rabbit was predicting the man would be mad about the bite! The rabbit by River had chased after the one that bit Kray and just cuddled up next to it, starting to groom the other rabbit's head. All Kor could do was cackle as his boyfriend got so 'viciously' bit. Animals were wild. "What the heck! Why'd it do that?" He asked, voice loud suddenly and spooking off the rabbits around him, which meant they were now slowly starting to be circled by the fluffy creatures. River bit his lip to keep from laughing, but he definitely had a huge smile on his face and tears in his eyes. It was so hard. Animals hated Kraven. They always had, despite how much Kray might like them. "Didn't MF do that with him when you first got him?" He asked Kor, purple eyes sliding over to the taller man. Kor nodded vigorously. "Yep! Though MF likes him now. Somehow hates Derek though. I, personally, think Derek is the sweeter one." Kor was definitely teasing now, not even sure if Kray could hear him. "Babe, you okay?"

A hiss escaped him as the rabbit bit down, and he jerked his hand away. He grumbled, wiping the offending bite gingerly with the hem of his shirt. The taller man was quick to shoot a glare at his boyfriend, though it quickly faded as he shifted his attention to River. "MF has bitten me, Sho. Ko. Hell. You two ******** have bitten me at somepoint." It would probably scar over.. Another to the collection, he supposed. "MF only likes me because Derek's around. MF wanted nothing to do with me prior to that..." Still, he nodded when Kor asked if he was okay. "I've had worse." Kraven muttered, holding out his hand for Kor to fuss over. "Over all this cold though."

Kor kissed the finger that was bitten and then just pulled the taller against his side, arm around his waist again. Green eyes glittered in mirth and he looked around one more time to see a few more rabbits had gathered around them. he was really tempted to pet one despite Kraven getting bit. Hey, it wasn't him! So he could still try, right? River shrugged a little. He couldn't remember biting Derek. It could have happened when they were younger, but who knows, really? The bluenette was sporting a soft smile on his lips still. "I'm surprised he's alive. He's so old now.." River hummed to himself. "It's, ah... It's cold. Can we...?" He jerked his head a bit. Honestly, River was starving and these two promised lunch. "In a minute," Kor said, squatting down and wiggling his fingers toward one of the bunnies. "Ps, ps, ps, ps." He only really knew how to call cats, okay?
