Tasogaregakure is a very secluded village, and with good reason. Virtually all of it's inhabitants were chased out of their own villages for being different, for being... monsters. They weren't necessarily evil, just different. Enough that others viewed them as a threat and chased them off. Now they seek to remain separated from those who hate them.
Tasogaregakure is surrounded by a wall that seems to be made of charred wooden planks. In fact, this is a special barrier jutsu, only those who are at least partly non-human can enter. If a human tries, they just come out the other end. Past the wall, the path delves lower gradually, until you finally reach the village proper. Within the wall, which is actually a dome, it is perpetually twilight, complete with twinkling stars and a bright full moon. The village seems to be bigger on the inside than the barrier would allow. Within the village, the buildings are very unique, made in the old Gothic style, and all looking in need of repair. From numerous broken windows, to the doors hanging on single hinges, to cobwebs in almost every corner, they are in rather poor shape.
Clans: Nosferatu - The masters of the night, this clan feeds on the blood of others, and has a special kinship to bats.
West - These creative types have learned how to reanimate the dead, and patch together new life from parts of others. They can even improve their own bodies in this manner.
Therianthrope - Werewolves are their more common name. Able to transform in whole or in part into bestial states, they possess enormous strength and regenerative capabilities.
Imhotep - Ancient lords of a far off land, these beings kept their power even after death. Now dried-out corpses, they have an iron will, and are fiercely protective of their home.
Gilman - These misunderstood creatures are primarily aquatic, able to live underwater as easily as on land.
Circe - This clan seems to age slower than normal, and wields powerful mystic energies. As well, they are adept at brewing powerful potions.
Descartes - An odd group of people, to be sure, this clan has no body, literally. Merely phantasms, they are still able to remain in the world of the living thanks to a grudge or pent-up desire. But being able to still use chakra, they can be harmed by element and pure chakra based techniques, thus not being immortal. The Descartes cannot be held in one place by said techniques.

Hidden Twilight Techniques
Techniques in indigo are clan only moves.
Vlad Tepes (Nosferatu)
[ N ] Turn into Mist - 1000 Chakra ( +5 Speed. +5 Defense, while active.) - This technique lets the user turn their entire body into mist, to avoid an attack. This form can't be maintained for very long. Cost to maintain doubles every post while active.
[ N ] Hypnotic Gaze - 1000 Chakra ( -5 Resolve, -5 Reaction against target ) Just by looking into their opponent's eyes, the wielder of this technique can send a pulse of chakra into their mind, lowering their reaction time and willpower.
[ T ] Feeding Frenzy - 500 Chakra ( -5 Speed while biting, Spirit+10 Damage, heals the damage: 1/2 for Health and 1/2 for Chakra. ) - A Nosferatu's trademark skill, they bite their opponent and drink their blood, recovering their strength and healing their wounds. Drains a small portion of the opponent's blood and chakra each turn.
[ T ] Bullet Proof - 1500 Chakra ( +25 Defense. -10 Defense against Lightning and Light themed Jutsu ) This ability that a Nosferatu can use, allows them to be able to harden their skin to the point that thrown weapons and fire from a shinobi weaker then them, are useless against them, but not their clothing. They are severely harmed, if struck by a light effect in this stage.
[ N ] Bat Swarm - 600 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage) By making a single hand seal and pointing in a specific direction, bats may actually emerge from the sleeves or clothing of a Nosferatu and move in that one direction in order to attempt to cut the opponent up a little as if they are a series of blades.
[ N ] Bat Flurry - 700 Chakra ( +15 Speed. -10 Defense. ) This movement technique, allows for a Nosferatu to actually become the bats, and move a small amount forward, if someone is caught in the bats, they will be cut up. The movement is a twenty foot straight line. (Must have Bat Swarm)
Dr. Herbert West (West)
[ N ] Dig Me No Grave - 1000 Chakra ( Spirit+10, can add +10 to the next Lightning Jutsu used. ) - Using the vast amounts of electricity that are required to reanimate a corpse, the user of this technique sends a powerful blast of energy at their opponent. It can be separated into multiple, smaller blasts as well.
[ S ] Give Me a Hand - 8000 Chakra - The user of this technique can attach a severed limb to their own body when they are missing that same limb, and after they sew it on, it will be their new limb. If this limb is from another clan, they can learn one technique of that clan, at double the cost, as long as that technique has no prerequisites. This can only be done once every 5000 Skill Points of the user, and only two times per clan.
[ N ] Monster Out - 500 Chakra ( -20 Speed, +15 Strength, +10 Defense ) - Using this technique, the user can bulk up by a huge margin, amplifying their strength and toughness, at the cost of speed.
[ T ] Restitching - 1500 Chakra ( +5 Speed, +5 Strength. +5 Intelligence ) This technique used by the West clan, allows for them to be able to release their major limbs and allow them to continue moving, even in the air. A hand may be given a strong enough charge, to actually float and fight with a blade, while the rest of the body fights elsewhere.
[ N ] Electrical Blades - 1500 Chakra ( Spirit+10, applies -5 Reaction to Opponent struck for 1 turn. ) With this technique a West clan member can member can cause blades of electricity to emerge from between stitched limbs for about a foot. If an opponent is struck, they will then succumb to shivers from the pule of electricity. (Must have Dig Me No Grave)
[ N ] Corpse Shift - 1000 ( -20 to two of: [ Speed, Strength, Defense ] +50 to the third stat. ) With this, a West clan member can shift their body into a specific limb, creating more strength and power into that limb. From there, they may amplify their strength to hit harder, or halve the power and place it into the legs to move faster. This technique only doubles what it is placed into, and causes weakness to the rest of the body. (Must have Monster Out)
Larry Talbot (Therianthrope)
[ G ] Howl at the Moon - 600 Chakra ( Resolve+20, -15 Speed ) - By letting out a bloodcurdling cry, the user can plunge their enemy into a fear.
[ N ] Transform - 500 Chakra ( Heals for 1/2 Spirit + 5 ) - This technique allows the user to either transform into their bestial form, or back into their human form. During the transformation, they recover a portion of their wounds.
[ T ] Infectious Bite - 1000 Chakra ( -5 Defense, -5 Perception ) - When in bestial form, when the user bites someone, they get infected with a disease which causes them aching pain and delirium.
[ N ] Partial Transformation - 1000 Chakra ( Heals for 1/2 Spirit+10 ) This technique allows the Therianthrope to either transform partially into their bestial form, or back into their human form. During the transformation, they recover a portion of their wounds for that area that was transformed. (Must have Transform)
[ N ] Steel Fur - 500 Chakra ( Defense+5, Damages when struck by opponent. ) When in their bestial form, the Therianthropes are able to actually cause their fur to become steel like spins, that can puncture flesh with ease. They can also protect against thrown projectiles.
[ T ] Claws and Fangs - 1000 Chakra ( -10 Intelligence, +5 Speed, Strength+15 Damage ) A taijutsu technique centering around a Therianthrope's ability to transform into a beast like form. With this, the Therianthrope can move swiftly, and slash with their claws in order to render large gashes into flesh, and also through normal armor. Their fangs can also be used to rip and tear away at physical barriers like walls or normal armor.
Bubba Ho-tep (Imhotep)
[ N ] Plague of Scarabs - 1000 Chakra ( Spirit+10 Damage ) - Summons a swarm of flesh-eating scarabs to attack enemies.
[ G ] Pharoah's Curse - 1000 Chakra ( Resolve+10 ) - A Genjutsu, it plunges the opponent into a nightmare where they suffer one grievous injury after another until they die.
[ N ] Pyramid Barrier - 500 Chakra ( -25 Speed, Adds 1/2 Spirit to Defense while active. ) - Creates a pyramid made of chakra to protect the user.
[ N ] Plague Movement - 1000 Chakra ( -10 Defense, +20 Speed ) A technique used by the Imhotep to move at a swift speed for up to twenty feet in any direction. Their entire body can actually form into any series of things that are associated with plagues. From Rats to Locusts. And then move off as those animals in a straight line of up to twenty feet. If an opponent gets in the way, they are attacked and swarmed by the plague of animals/insects.
[ N ] Pharaohs Power - 2000 Chakra ( -10 Speed, Deals Spirit+1/2 Defense. Damage dealt is equal to barrier's defense. ) Using the same means of chakra manipulation as the Pyramid Barrier technique, a Imhotep can create a hieroglyphic symbol out of chakra before their palm, and then create a large blast of chakra from the air, towards the opponent. If struck by this blast, it actually creates a reverse barrier, locking them inside and then creating a powerful burning effect to the opponent on the next post.
[ S ] Pharaoh's Blood - 2500 Chakra ( +5 Defense & -5 Speed for every 10 Missing Health ) Or in this case, the lack of blood, thanks to being of the Imhotep clan, they are actually able to be struck and wounded, but not bleed. Instead, dust would fall from their wounds, and with this technique, the dust can be used as to create a slow armor, that would protect against physical strikes, for the price of damage being done to the body before hand. (Must have all other Imhotep techs.)
Ricou Browning (Gilman)
[ N ] The Black Lagoon - 600 Chakra ( All Water and Clan based Techniques gain an additional +5 to the technique's first Positive Effect. ) - Transforms the immediate area into a boggy marsh, with only sparse dry land.
[ N ] Tide's Pull - 700 Chakra ( Spirit+5 vs Speed ) - Usable after The Black Lagoon, everyone is pulled into the water by strong waves.
[ T ] Undertow - 500 Chakra ( -10 Resolve, +5 Speed. Attacks deal Strength+5 Damage. ) - When the user is underwater, they can move faster and strike harder.
[ N ] Vast Flooding - 1500 Chakra ( +5 Speed. -10 Opponent's Speed. ) After using The Black Lagoon, the user can cause the waters to flood and make the battle field into more of a lake.
[ N ] Water Temperature - 700 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage to anyone else within water. ) With this a Gilman is able to cause the water to go to a boil, or freeze solid without it harming them. They must be in the water for this to work.
[ N ] Black Vines - 1000 Chakra ( Spirit+10 Damage. Ensnare the target with a Spirit vs Strength check, when in the water. ) These vines are able to rise from the ground, and attempt to ensnare or strike them like that of a number of tendrils lashing out from the ground or water. The Vines being more effective if the target is in order under water.
Catherina (Circe)
[ N ] Hex - 400 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage ) - A simple magical blast.
[ N ] Elixir of Life - 1300 Chakra ( Spirit+10 replenished. 1/2 to Health, and 1/2 to Chakra. ) - When drank, heals a majority of in juries and replenishes chakra and energy. Can only brew one dose a week.
[ N ] Mystic Blast of Annihilation - 2000 Chakra ( -10 Speed. Spirit+30 Damage. ) - A very powerful blast, requires a lengthy chant before it can be used.
[ N ] Defense Hex - 1000 Chakra ( Defense + 1/2 Spirit ) This Hex creates a barrier in front of the Circe in order to defend from most attacks that don't overwhelm it.
[ N ] Elixir of Death - 1500 Chakra ( All Stats+10, After 10 posts, lose 75% of current Health. ) When drank, increases all physical and mental restraints by ten. But Lasts for only ten turns, before the Circe enters a near death state for two turns. Can only brew one dose a week.
[ N ] Hex Bullets - 2000 Chakra ( -10 Speed. Spirit+10 Damage, when struck opponent's speed -20 for one post ) A long rain of hexes that are shot from one or both palms, able to act in the way of a submachine gun, in order to spray onto an area, or hit an opponent once with multiple weak hits. If struck, the opponent current action is considerably slowed.
[ N ] Arcane Gaze - 2500 Chakra ( +15 Reaction, + 10 Speed ) Applies mystical power to the eyes, causing everything before them to appear to slow down. The cost of this jutsu increases to 5000 Chakra to maintain after first post. ( Must know all other Circe techniques to learn )
Casper (Descartes)
[ N ] Haunting - 600 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage, drains 1/2 of the damage directly from the target's chakra. Does not gain the chakra drained. ) - The user becomes invisible, then appears suddenly in front of their enemy, scaring them as well as draining their chakra.
[ N ] Phantasmal Grip - 1000 Chakra ( (Spirit+10)x25 Damage to Chakra, and 1/2 of drained damage is returned to the user as chakra ) - By sticking their hands into an opponent's body, the energy drain is greatly sped up. As well, they can actually recover their own lost energy in this manner.
[ N ] Possession - 3000 Chakra - A Descartes strongest skill, they can actually possess an unconscious body for a limited time, equal to one hour for every 10K chakra they possess.
[ N ] Ethereal Scream - 1500 Chakra ( Drains [(Spirit+15)x25] Chakra from everyone within area. Does not gain chakra drained. ) A technique that allows the Descartes to release a high pitched moan like screech that actually absorbs chakra from all those that hear it.
[ N ] Living Possession - 1000 Chakra ( Opponent's Perception -10 while Possessed ) A technique not unlike the Possession ability. A Descartes can enter the body of a living person and hide themselves within, as if they had never been there. When inside a body, they're subject to all thoughts and senses of the person. But the person does not know they are there unless they saw the Descartes enter them.
[ N ] Haunting Throw - 600 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage ) A technique that a Descartes clan member to turn invisible and the cause kunai or other small objects to be thrown with startling accuracy at the opponent.
Boris Karloff (Clanless)
[ N ] Monster Party - 300 Chakra ( Increases 1 Stat by +5, based upon the features gained. ) - The user gains monstrous features, but only for two posts.
[ N ] Walpurgis Night - 500 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage to those that contact the Fire. Can be put out with Water Jutsu stronger than the Damage ) - Creates a large bonfire which is nigh-impossible to burn out, but only until the next day.
[ T ] Monster Mash - 1500 Chakra ( -10 Resolve, -10 Intelligence, +10 Speed, +10 Defense, Strength+15 Damage. ) - A series of fighting strikes, balancing extreme power with iron defense and surprising speed, it can be extremely powerful.
[ N ] Double Strike - 600 Chakra ( Spirit+5 Damage per bolt. ) An bolt of lightning that is instantly followed by a second bolt, creating the show of a bolt of lightning hitting the same spot twice. For an Eerie benefit.
[ T ] Claw Style - 800 Chakra ( -15 Intelligence, +5 Speed, Strength + 1/2 Spirit Damage ) A taijutsu style that allows for thrusting and slashing attacks, with fingers stressed and spread apart. Chakra is built up upon the finger tips, to give piercing and slashing power behind the swift strikes of the hands.
[ K ] Creature Bane - 1000 Chakra ( -5 Spirit. -5 Resolve, -5 Intelligence, Strength+10 Damage. If Strength is greater than Opponent's Defense, deal an additional 1/2 Damage ) A kenjutsu style that allows the opponent to bulk up their sword wielding arm and then slash at any angle, in order to either knock the opponent's weapon from their hand, or shatter their wrists, if the opponent is weak enough. 1000

Now that she had finally managed to arrive, she took a slow look around the village that she was strolling through without a real destination in mind for the moment. After all, she had no expectations of meeting up with any friends that may or may not be within the village at the time being. Sighing casually, she turns and heads towards one of the outskirt areas of the village and aimed to find someplace that she could settle down and relax for a bit before she would head back to her place of living. Since it had been so long, she had expected for some stuff to change and yet nothing had, which was a surprise all in itself. Not that it mattered really, she had only arrived at her home village in order to gather up her belongings in order to head out on yet another trip that would allow her to actually begin her adventures as a Shinobi.
A tall, mysterious, male figure stood atop a hill that overlooked the edge of the village clad in the complete shadow of night. The kitsune styled Noh mask resting on his face, hiding its details beneath. Crimson eyes peer out beyond it as they rest on and lovely Circe girl that the Princess of the Sand had requested dead, and by name none the less. This male figure pondering his next course of action as he slowly approached the barrier to the village. It would detour ordinary humans, but Doova was not an ordinary human nor was he even human. Crossing easily into the village full of other monstrous clans, the avatar of Shun, summoned forth two kitsune styled wooden puppets to either side of him. While they were an older style of puppet, these looked to be somehow upgraded. Each moved more life-like and fluidly as they rushed out ahead of the masked male. Dagger-like blades sliding from the paws as the bestial puppets leap into air to claw into the unexpecting Circe. The young woman's mistake came in the form of the outskirts being too far from others.

She had not been here for that long, having only cracked open what appeared to be a potion she had removed from her belt when a small wooden puppet came running into view. With the vial of liquid half held up between her lips, she caught just a glimpse as razor sharp claws slashed across her torso and arms before she could even react to the attack. A sudden yelp escaping her lips as she fell backwards and dropped the vial of liquid upon the ground, her sapphire eyes widening as she glanced around frantically in an attempt to locate the odd beasts that had attacked her simple seconds before. Yet she couldn't locate them immediately. Isidora rose to her feet slowly, and drew a specialized ritual dagger from it's sheath at her hip as she stood in an attempted defensive position, eyes still frantically searching for whatever or whoever was attacking her.

Now that he had arrived, passing easily through the barrier that was the prevention of humans entering the village itself. Faluzure slowly scanned over the area in an attempt to locate the target that he was coming to kill, although he did not immediately notice the white haired Circe that he was hunting at this moment. He slowly began to stroll forward through the village, red gaze slowly scanning over every face that he passed as he attempted to locate this female. He was certain that they were here, this being their home village after all. He would have been informed of something different had they not returned to their village. Faluzure continued to stroll forwards without an apparent care in the world as he searched for his current mark while also taking in the sights of the village. He had not been to this particular village in a long time, and although not much had changed he did always enjoy the aesthetic of this village hidden in Twilight even if his unchanging expression did not reveal that to anyone looking upon him.

The Chunnin exams had been a success, if only barely, and now Royce Cold was prepared to begin his journey as a shinobi, with the help of the demonic. When he approached the village, though, he found that it was surrounded by an impassable wall. Figuring someone had to come out at some point, Royce resigned himself to wait.
For a place constantly cloaked in the night this place was becoming livelier and livelier as time marched on... which felt odd for a village like his one. Glancing over his shoulder the masked, male figure sees the human male standing outside the barrier seemingly waiting for his own demise. A snap of his fingers and dark-haired female steps out behind him, "Bout time you call on me." The foxlike female lets out a soft sigh as she takes over the two fox puppets, as another one joins the pack. Her sly grin crossing her face as she has all three lunching at Royce and use their bladed claws to slice into him. Now that Karu was keeping this human distracted, Doova reached down to draw his kusari-gama from his waist. He then begins to spin the weapon around him with such force and magnitude that one could here is slicing air. In a flash, the masked male figure spun, sending the blade flying out and slicing into his Circe target, while a half step back during it sends the blade aimed to slice into the Summoner's throat as well.

Of course even with her preparations to defend, she was not prepared for the sudden attack from the male that had actually come with her life as the ultimate goal. Turning in an instant, she would turn around from the sound of a weapon being drawn and spun around. By the time that she had finally managed to locate the enemy, it was enough time for her world to spin about as her body collapsed from the sudden slash that almost completely cut her in two.

His gaze turning to look in the direction of the fallen shinobi as he slowly nodded his head and dashed off in the desired direction. After a few moments of notice he had arrived where the two shinobi had died, his dull red gaze passing from one dead body to the other as he nodded his head and brought his attention upon the two assassin's that had taken down the two. "Do you.. Have plans for more, Isis' pets?" Faluzure asked plainly as he strolled forwards to the Summoner's body, a chain emerging from the air beside him and snagging onto the body, lifting it up and bringing it over to his extended arm, before he repeated the same process with the female Circe's body as well. He had full intention of bringing the corpses to Isis for her use, as was his deal. Though if the two Foxes were going to head off and kill other Shinobi, he may as well follow behind them and continue to collect the bodies and the souls as they go forwards. Although not waiting too long, as he still had other places to be, he would quickly leave towards his next destination with his two new corpses in tow.

In a large estate near the edge of the village, a large iron fence surrounded the mansion, blocking any entrance without alerting the grounds guards. In a corner room, on the first floor, next to a large garden, laid the vampire. Her day begins like it always does, the ringing of the bell in the estate’s center tower. With a yawn Ellie stretched under the covers, before throwing them aside. She laid there silent for a few moments, before expanding one of her winged arms towards the night table beside her bed. And closing her thumb around it, she picked up a small golden bell and gave it a rang. “Alas another twilight is upon us”. She pulled herself from the soft mattress and stood near the center of the room. The sound of running in the hall caught her ears. With it, she knew what to do and out stretched both of her wings and waited.
In only a few seconds after she had rung the small bell, a knock came to her bedroom door, “Our lady, may we enter” came a soft voice.
“You may” she responded to the voice.
“Thank you our lady”, came the voice and the doors opened, revealing two maids, both wrapped in bandages from head to toe, except for the distinct maid clothes they both wore. They gave Ellie a bow, and proceeded to get to work. One went to a wardrobe, and started to pull out today's clothes, setting them on the table beside it. The other held a bucket and cloth, and moved towards her. “May I, my Lady”, she gave a nod and the maid started to wipe her wings, making to be delicate. Then moved on to the rest of her body. It did not take long for the skilled worker to finish her task, and dry the bat girl. Then she helped the other to dress Ellie.
However, before they could start, Ellie pointed to the curtain in front of her, “You, please draw the curtain, I would like to look at the moon”. Following her command, one of the maids stopped and went to open the large curtain, revealing a giant window leading to a terrace with many potted plants around the edges of it, and a table with a single chair laid in the center of the sight. High in the sky was the full moon, with the twilight colors filling the sky around it. “Thank you dear, back to the task at hand”.
With that, Ellie was quickly dressed, and her small glasses placed on her face. “Thank you both, I will wait outside for breakfast, please make it quick, I am quite famished”. Both maids bowed and left the room, with one holding the washing bucket.
She opened the side door to the terrace and sat in her chair, awaiting breakfast. “A lovely twilight to get some training done”, she had almost completed her training on her clan's techniques. She decided to do some practice while waiting. She called forth a small swarm of bats made of her chakra, and formed them into a pair of hands. Then she made one of the hands ball itself into a fist, and attempted to strike her, only for it to phase though her as she turned her body momentarily to mist. “Still as easy as yesterday”, satisfied with this, she decided to move on to the next skill she was learning.
As if on cue, one of the mummy maids entered, holding a tea kettle, and a cup. She placed the cup in front of Ellie and started to fill it up. A red liquid fell into the cup, and the smell of iron filled the air. “My favorite, having it warm like this is almost as good as the real thing”, she smiled at the maid. With her job done, the maid left the kettle of warm blood, and bowed, prepared to leave. “Before you go, come here for a second”. Commanded the bat girl.
“Yes my Lady”, the maid returned to her side, and knelt down on her knees beside her.
“Good, now this will only take a moment, I can’t go getting rusty can I”. Unsure of what was about to happen, the maid looked into her lady’s eyes, and fell under their hypnotic gaze. “Now, state your name and profession”, she ordered.
With a smile under the bandages, the mummy, obeyed “my name is Erriesa, and I am a maid for the Nosferatu family”
“You are almost right, but your job is wrong, now isn’t it” she spoke calmly, her words honeyed, as if she could say no wrong to the maid. “You are my maid, not my family, I won’t have them use your or your sister”.
“Yes my Lady, I am your maid, no one else's”
With that, Ellie was satisfied, her training stuck, and now with just a gaze she could do a great deal to the mind. Breaking the spell, the maid looked around confused. “Its alright Erriesa, stand”, she did as commanded, shooting up from her kneeling position. “You may leave now, if I have need, I shall call”.
“Yes my Lady”, with that the maid quietly left the area.
“Such a neat little trick, yet not too powerful, will have to work on that”, she formed her chakra bats into a hand and picked up the cup of blood, sipping at it. She let out a sigh, and slouched in her chair.
With warm blood in her, she felt truly awake and decided to practice a little more before the main course arrived. She straightened herself and pulled the chair out with her chakra hand. Standing, she turned to the garden, shook herself, and started to break apart, turning into a swarm of bats, the swarm moved forward a few feet, to the edge of the terrace before she turned back into her normal beautiful self.
Once more she felt confident in her ability, and turned back to find a maid, standing beside the table. “Sorry about that, didn’t notice you came in, Asera, please prepare as normal”.
“Yes my lady” the maid removed several bandages around her neck. Revealing several healed bite marks.
Despite the bandages, the twin maid sisters were not members of the Imhotep clan, why they dressed like that, not even Ellie knew. They had their reasons and it didn’t bother her, so she let it go.
The bat girl walked up to the maid, with a gentle brush of her winged hand, she tilted her head, showing off her neck. With a lick she placed her mouth on it, and bit down with her fangs, drinking deeply. Ellie loved the taste of this maid more than any other and would only allow her to feed her. After a few moments of silence, It was over.
Ellie licked the bite mark, before moving away. Only to catch the falling maid in her wings. “Easy dear, don’t over do it”. She patted the maid on the head, her wing still holding her tight. “Go and get some rest, we will leave in a few hours to town, understood”.
Weakly, she replied “yes my lady, as you wish”. With a wobble, and a little help from Ellie, the maid returned to her feet. She started to bow, only to be stopped by the bat girl, “thank you my Lady”. With a smile, the maid turned to leave.
Waiting until the maid left and shut the door, Ellie then relaxed and licked her fuzzy lips “so sweet, just like always, I love drinking her under the moon”. She looked into the sky, taking note of the moon and stars. “A great way to start the day”. She sat back down and sipped on the now cold blood in her cup. “Nowhere near as good as fresh” she sighed.
As she relaxed in her chair, sipping her now cold blood, her large ear twitched at the sound of grass crunching under weight. And with great speed, two daggers were hurled at her head. Only to bounce off, as Ellie hardened the skin under her fur. “Dearest Father, please refrain from your shenanigans during my breakfast”, she used her chakra hand to pick up one of the daggers and throw it back at the attacker. Like her, it bounced off, and a tall man revealed himself, grinning from ear to ear, showing off his fangs.
Ellie’s father, a giant of a man, with silver hair, orange eyes like his daughter, and large bat wings on his back. “You’ve come so far, my lovely daughter”. He jumped from his hiding spot and tried to hug her, only to pass right on through as she turned into mist. Making him crash into a potted plant near the house wall.
“You gotta stop that father, before you hurt yourself” She chuckled to herself.
Yet this did not seem to faze the large man, shrugging it off, and picking himself up. “Can’t you give daddy a hug before you leave”, he pleaded to his daughter.
“Fine, just one, but, only this once”, she stood up and stretched her wings out, only to have them pushed in by her father’s bear hug. “Can’t breathe”, she said weakly, struggling against his strength.
“I’m gonna miss you so much”, he gave her one more tight hug, before letting go, “I’m sure if your mother wasn’t busy she would be here too”.
“Its alright father, I understand her job is rather demanding” brushing herself off, she returned a light hug, wrapping her wings around her father for a moment before stepping back. “I should get ready, there is a long way from this village to the hidden sound”. She had heard rumors of people who could control bats, and knew she needed to learn how to do so herself.
“You know, I could always hire a tutor from there, then you can stay safe here at home”, his eyes widened, hoping she would take up his offer.
“Father”, an almost coldness filled her voice, her fur ruffled, and tail swinging back and forth, “I am not a child anymore, I want to see the world”, she used her chakra hand to return the other dagger to him. “Next time, you won’t have to hold back on your throw”.
Finding no way to talk her out of it, her father relented, “Okay, just be safe, and don’t..”
Cutting him off, “let people see me, I know”. She did look more like a monster than the rest of her clan, and she knew the outside world could be cruel to those like her, but it didn’t damper her desire to travel. “Now please have Asera ready the carriage, I will be there soon”.
Looking defeated, his shoulders slouched, “alright dear, love you”
“Love you too father”. She reached up and kissed him on the cheek.
His smile returned in an instant, and with a hop, he went into the house, leaving Ellie once more alone. She once more looked to the moon, “wonder what the moon looks like out there”. With that she got ready to leave.
