Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7It is this time of the year, when the weather starts to get cooler and the crops are all brought in, that the people of Tendaji begin to look back. They look back at the friends they've made over the past year, the people they've come to love, and those they have lost. It's a monumental time of self-reflection, of examining the world they live in and everything that they went through over the past year.
And it's a time to give thanks. Thanks to their gods, to each other, to themselves. It's a beautiful reflective time of year, and one that many Tendaji natives will celebrate with little gifts, special harvest feasts, or a moment alone with those they love.
[ Sometimes we don't spend enough time thanking others for all they do. Or thanking ourselves for the strength and growth we've gone through. In this prompt, we're looking for self-reflection, contemplation, and moments of thanks between your characters and the important ones in their lives. ]

[ Nayyara 1 ] Nayyara felt a weight settle on her as she got closer to the Aishan homeland. It was a weird feeling, and she wondered if her mother was in the same boat. They were foreigners, previously unwelcome and still discourage from such actions. They often were looked down upon by the scouts in Jauhar, and whispered about by the Shifters who lingered in the forest. Her mother was seen as a threat, and she seen as a wonder.
It was different than when they went to Zinris, and maybe it was because outside of all the looks and whispers, a large shadow began to loom high in the distance.
Thankfully they had a travel partner, someone that Nayyara could bond with and ask questions about the location. Zuella, having been bloomed from this tree, was a helpful resource to understand what they could expect upon arrival.

Zuella 1
Zuella was in a wonderful mood having made two new friends, whom to her were sisters, no matter which tree they came from. They were beeautiful products fo Aisha even if they were not born on her boughs.
"We are getting close now." She did her best to point out the landmarkers that she had been taught by her own Mother . In this way she could find Aisha if she needed on her own. She truly believed in their benevolence. They seemed like well adjusted woman and she greatly enjoyed exchanging stories with them.
She wondered what it would be like to see one of the other trees for the first time. The grandeur and mystery might overwhelm her.
It was unfortunate that Aisha's children had once been divided by war, the echoes still were reflected in some of her sisters eyes.

[ Nayyara 2 ] Her ear twitched as she heard Zuella speak up, nodding slowly.
"With us not even on the isle yet, I can't even imagine how big Aisha must be..." Nayyara spoke softly in return, moving closer to Zuella to gossip with the girl as their mother trudged on. She was sure Zayana was processing things in her own way.
"You can't even see Esena unless you're right at the coast looking at the island. I guess Elzira was a little bigger, but with how dense Yael is...she didn't stand out like this..."

Zuella hung on her every word, enjoying so much to hear about two other trees. "Aisha is old and very tall, a monarch of the jungle, but the others will grow over time. I can't wait to see how they change and grow as the years pass"
"I can't wait for you and your Mama to see her for the first time. I really can't do it justice with words alone, I'll be interested to see if there are any differences between Aisha and the others."
She hadn't been this happy or excited in a long time. But she did always have an affinity for anything new.

[ Nayyara 3 ] Nayyara nodded at Zuella's response, but still never could imagine the other trees being as tall as Aisha. It must have been generation upon generation to grow a tree this tall, though she hoped she'd live to see Esena be this tall someday. Or at least her children could witness such a feat.
She was thankful for the trip, for the experience and for her new friendship, but she was also homesick. Every time she visited a new tree, she couldn't think of the budding mother that she had back home.
Turning with a smile, the Elidae nodded eagerly, "From what I noticed with Elzira, the trees are a reflection of the lands. So Esena matches the bark and branches of the Isle...a soft silvery color much different than Elzira." Aukai Oceansoul Going to work hard to get replies out ASAP this week!

Zuella tilted her head, "That sounds really beautiful." She imagined a young Aisha, smaller and silvery and wondered if what she saw would match the tree if she ever got to see it.
"I like the names of the other trees, Elizira and Esena, both sound like regal warrior ladies in their own right. Beautiful Mothers." She sighed wistfully, would that she be brave enough to go out into the world that far soon. For now she was busy doing errand type work most of the time. Useful and needful but not all that satisfying.
She wanted to see all the things with her own eyes.

[ Nayyara 4 ] "She really is..." Nayyara echoed softly, smiling and pushing back the homesickness for another time.
"Oh, I think they named Esena after Elzira. Not sure where Elzira came from. I also heard that the other tree was named after Aisha...or maybe it was the Isle..."
Nayyara didn't know much about it, but she would soon, "I'm just thankful I've got a chance to see them all...that there's peace."

Zuella grinned brightly at her, "I completely agree." Then she grew somewhat serious. "I can't imagine what it was like before, when it was sister against sister. The stories have such a heartbreaking sting to them, but we have come a long way and I hope that it stays so." After all it would be much harder to make friends like these ones if everyone was up in arms. She was incredibly happy to find that there were sisters from the other tribes that thought so too, or at least they would tolerate each other. Which you know, was better than nothing. "That is very cool about the naming of the trees." It was cool that Aisha could have multiple kinds of children; boys, girls, trees.

[ Nayyara 5 ] Nayyara was serious for a moment as Zuella spoke about a past both of them never lived through. It was hard to imagine, but she saw it occasionally in the anger of some of the older sisters. Especially those in Zinris.
"Yeah...I hope one day our tribes are all one again, with sisters of all colors together protecting each tree and what they stand for..." She spoke softly, as if telling a secret, before nodding and smiling at the comment about the names of the trees.

She took a deep breath and wished that more sisters shared her new friends fresh look on a life of peace. It made her heart soar and gave her hope for the very future that the other was envisioning.
"I hope so too."
"Is it very far to Belrea?" She knew that there were airships involved but that was the extent of her knowledge. Maybe it was the sea itself that made it hard to cross by the conventional wooden boats. She wasn't sure how she would handle the airships, she was 100% going to get airsick. Boats were tangible with tangible water underneath.
Airships floated on nothing and that was super disturbing to someone solidly within the eartly real.

[ Nayyara 6 ] "I think it's a long trip...longer than Matori to Jauhar. Plus there's the whole...flying thing..." She waved her hands around at the comment, not sure how to explain it just like before when she was speaking with Luleta.
"But the trip from Belrea to Kiros should be easy. As excited as I am, I really am excited to get back home too...With my family not being able to join us, I'm going to have so many gifts to share with them!"
Already she tried to ship some back, but was now collecting small trinkets at each settlement, filling up her pack. Hopefully she wouldn't run out of room.

"I am grateful I could see all of tendaji besides Belrea if I chose without an airship." Thinking about it now, she was grateful that her family was easily accessable and healthy, that she was making new friends and really coming into her own. She was growing flight feathers as her Mother would say. Her Mother had always been rather fond of avian analogies.
And now the opportunity to travel with fellow sisters had been bestowed upon her. She was truly lucky.
"Thank you for giving me a chance when you met me, I really appreciate it and I hope that other sisters repay you in the same way one day."

[ Nayyara FIN ] Nayyara smiled at the warm thanks from her new friend, nodding as she caught sight of her mother waving them to keep up.
"I really appreciate you, Zuella. Thank you." She replied warmly in response.
"Even if they don't repay me, I'm just grateful to connect with my extended family. Speaking of which, I think my mother wants us to hurry along. Better not keep her waiting." With a wink, she moved to race ahead and catch up with her mother, happy with the deeper conversation she had with her traveling friend.

Zuella 7 Despite not being a prentice anymore Zuella still got that feeling of electricity down her spine when she thought she was upsetting an elder, apparently she wasn't yet old enough to loose that. "Sorry, I was kinda wrapped up in the conversation I guess." It had been really nice to connect with these ladies and overall she felt envigorated. There were new adventures in her future!
