Stars above, Fangnyl disliked everything about going to drain energy out of people. It was something necessary, and he didn't mind actually doing it, but getting through all the buildup of getting outside, finding someone convenient, and convincing them to let him get close enough if they were sober enough to notice some very weird stuff going on? Awful. Just awful. Every second of that was boring and he could practically feel his skull buzzing with the boredom like the Earth bees. It was really quite rotten work. But he had to do it, especially since he needed to replenish his glamour so he could go out during the day again instead of creeping around at night like he was some kind of vampire (but at least he didn't twinkle in the sunlight, though that was certainly better than frying to death like some other poor vampires in books he'd read. Regardless, he was not actually a vampire, so it did not matter, but it was fun to pretend). He finally spotted someone he could use—alone, kind of stumbling around like they were just a bit too drunk, and not fully aware of their surroundings. He grinned at the opportunity and rushed forward, pushing the man into the alley and putting his stone up to the man to start draining, ignoring his weak protests. It was then, about three seconds into this maneuver and before he actually got energy flowing into the stone, that he noticed the very shocked other person in the alley with insanely pretty hair and dressed in black. Oh, s**t. That's a Negaverse Agent.He smiled nervously. "Hi?"

Bellite had to admit that when the member of the Vanguard showed up and began to take the energy of the civilian she had marked for an easy target, she was a little surprised, but that quickly turned to a feeling of utter glee. She hadn’t yet had the opportunity to speak with any of the members of this alien race, and they had left the after party so quickly after the large battle, so this was a treat.
“Hey there. You’re one of the Cadets, yeah? I wanted to mingle with you and your group but you left the party so early.”
Her eyes were sparkling with the chance at gaining some new knowledge and she gestured for him to continue. “You can have him, but...do you mind questions? I must admit, I’m utterly fascinated with Space. I’m Captain Bellite.”
Fascinating, he seemed to be gathering energy with a stone...did that take longer, or was it more efficient? Perhaps that would be the first of the questions, but, still. Observing was always a wonderful way to learn too.

Fangnyl swallowed heavily, startling when the drunk dude made some sounds of protest and quickly refocused so he could begin the drain. "Y-Yeah... Hi, B-Bellite," he stammered, cursing himself internally and taking a deep breath. Remember your training."Cadet Fangnyl. I will answer what I can, but naturally, there are some things that will remain unsaid. But perhaps we should move away and not have the conversation near...?" He gestured with his head to the nearly sleeping man, his Source Stone almost fully charged.

Bellite nodded. “That is perfectly understandable! I’m just curious, that’s all. It’s lovely to meet you, Cadet Fangnyl.” She gestured for him to follow her, leading him to a more sheltered spot just inside of a park across the street. Sitting down at a picnic table, Bellite stretched. “So! How are you enjoying Earth? What’s been the best thing that you’ve done so far?”
Looking thoughtful, she nodded towards him. “You take energy with a rock?”
It wasn’t really prying, but...it was interesting! “If that’s a trade secret or something, there’s no need to tell me everything, it’s just...different from what I’m used to. Is it a real rock or some kind of a machine?”

Fangnyl put the man down and followed after Bellite, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. He was still nervous, but he could handle this. Sitting across from her, he nodded. "Yeah. It's our Source Stone. It heals. And provides us with the energy to hold up human glamour... When we remember to charge it," he said with an embarrassed cough into his fist, ignoring his blush. "Ah... Both?"

Both. So it was a rock and a machine…that could heal and provide a human guise…that.
“That’s one fancy rock!”
Bellite chuckled and rested her elbows on the table, holding her chin in her hands. “You’re the first of your kind that I’ve gotten to speak to, and I do just want to say that I’m very pleased to have a chance. What about you? Do you have any burning questions? I feel like it’s only fair that I answer yours too!”
She hesitated and then plowed on. “What’s the best thing you’ve eaten since arriving here?” Because she had some very honest opinions on the best food in the city, thank you very much…and he should welcome her advice! At least…if his decisions weren’t worthy of that qualification, at least.

He chuckled a bit uncomfortably, putting the stone in his subspace now that that was over. He didn't think she was going to do anything by this point, she seemed quite calm and lovely... But there was so much apprehension held in his heart around those of the Negaverse. But her question about food had him sitting up and leaning in eagerly, beaming as he answered, "Pineapple pizza! I was told it was very controversial but it's sooo yummy!!!!" He clapped his hands together excitedly to emphasize his point. "I don't really have any questions for you though." He shrugged. Well, he did, but they weren't the kind you asked.
