It was the first night the cat had decided to patrol since his return to Destiny City. It had been two years since he had been here. Its streets were not like those in Japan where he had been all this time. And, yet, he still remembered them. After years, Destiny City was still her old self. Tama found himself on a path his padded feet had been once before when he felt a presence. His pink nose sniffed the night air. Another Mauvian… ☆

Soyala was only so often up and about by herself. Usually,h er duties kept her in Negaspace, but with the disappearance of Idrialite so recently, it was hard for her to simply linger around, hoping that there were things for her to do.
Easier to prowl the city, seeking out new Senshi that might do well in the Negaverse. But there was someone else here, another cat--and Soyala hissed unhappily.
Interfering, idiotic Order cats.
She wiggled her whole body, prowling forward, all puffed up threat displays, until she was looking face to face at the other cat.
"What," she hissed, "do you think you're doing out here?"

Oh! A threat display. How cute.Tama had not seen one of those in a long time. All fur and fangs and bravado… and all quite unnecessary. Still, there was that feral part of him that wanted to meet the other Mauvian with tooth and claw immediately. But first… “Why? Just taking a stroll. You didn’t think these were your streets, did you?”It was no good starting a fight without first introducing yourself. Some biting words made the real fighting sting so much more. ☆

Soyala's tail whipped back and forth, as she narrowed her eyes, evaluating everything about the situation. This was many different kinds of unacceptable, especially the part where some Order Mauvian just thought that he could come out here, on his own, probably looking for civilians who might become White Moon Senshi--utterly unacceptable.
Those poor Senshi, too. So many of them left os utterly alone.
"Oh," she said, "I don't think these are my streets. I know they are. I know that the Negaverse owns this city." She let herself un-puff a little, slowly stretching herself out. "And anyway, we Chaos cats do a much better job with our recruits than you Order cats do. How many have you let out into the wild with just a pen and half a thought, hmm? At least we always make sure our Senshi are connected to their superiors." Because they had to, perhaps. But Soyala knew what the Corrupts who had come from the other side said.

Tama let a brief smile pass his lips. There was nothing he loved more than a nice parley before a fight. Tama wasn’t much of a fighter, but he was a talker. Especially if he could exchange words with another guardian cat. It was a pity she had chosen the wrong side. “Well-trained? Your lot, you mean?” Tama bristled. “Please. You force half of those senshi into your service. At least ours serve with their will intact.”He extended his claws and lunged, making no attempt to hide that he was going straight for her. “Show me then what you teach your ‘recruits’!”☆

Soyala rolled her shoulders, a cattish imitation of a human shrug. "Better they be safe than be unleashed alone on the world," she said.
But the threat was clear, and the verbal sparring was over. It was time for the real fight to begin, and with a loud, angry hiss, Soyala launched herself forward, claws out. She aimed to meet his lunge, and while she wasn't a particularly bulky cat, if she was lucky, she might get to pin him underneath her. It would be a point of pride, she thought, to get to take down an enemy on her own.

Tama was impressed that the Chaos Mauvian was so eager for a fight that she met his lunge with outstretched claws. He was used to a lot of talk from other Mauvians (himself included). But, usually, when it came down to it, most Mauvians he knew wouldn’t actually fight. True… there was always a bit of posturing with hissing and arched backs and extended claws, but the fight rarely went so far. He found, with a bit of suprise to himself, that he liked this forthrightness and willingness to actually attack. Still, he aimed to make this quick. And so he met the other cat, claw to claw, hissing as he raked at her fur as she lunged onto him. ☆

It was a scrappy, hissing tangle, and Soyala was all teeth and claws out as she aimed to bite and slash at her enemy. It felt good, almost, even as she felt his claws rake down her side--here she was, demonstrating that she could be useful in combat for more than just giving a Senshi an on-the-fly promotion. Even if it had to be someone on her own level--another Mauvian--she could fight just as much as her officers and Senshi did.
She didn't bother to quiet her snarls and hisses as they tangled; ordinary humans would probably assume it was simly an alley fight between two regular cats, and while the thought of being mistaken for an alley cat would normally rankle her, now it was useful. No one would want to come in to break things up, even if they were out to hear.
She aimed her claws for the other Mauvian's face, hoping to at least inflict some wounds to send him running.

Tama, while quite enjoying himself for once, wasn’t experienced in fighting. Other cats generally weren’t his target. He was quite good at using his claws, but he wasn’t used to dodging and wasn’t particularly quick. So when Soyala went for his face, he wasn’t able to get out of the way fast enough before getting slashed right across the nose. “My face!” Tama howled, true anger in his expression. His attacks quickened and he started biting in his rage. And an enraged Tama proved to be a better fighter than a calm one. He attempted to use his bulk and his teeth to bite her neck and throw her aside so he could run away. ☆

Soyala wasn't exactly an experienced fighter herself, but she was, at least, feeling pretty good about her chances.
When his teeth sank into her neck, though, she yowled, making a few more flailing slashes at his face before she was tossed aside, where she landed in a lump.
She took a moment to try and catch her breath, which had been driven from her body by the landing. But she was slightly dazed, and so standing took her a long moment.

Tama watched as she took a minute to stand. He put a paw to his face. He was bleeding. His beautiful face! He’d have to make sure that didn’t leave a scar. Using that as his excuse for not finishing off the other cat, he fled. ☆
