User Image

Name: Makoto Hakushin (True Name: The Euphoric)

Nickname: Mako, Euphi to the few who know her true name

Gender/Pronoun: She/Her

Age: 70 (319 in human years! Hakone has a orbital period of nearly 4.5 Earth years)

Birthday: 47th Day of Charenji no Tsuki, the Month of Challenge (Month 25 of 36 on the Hakonian calendar. Each month is roughly 150 Hakonian days). She's chosen October 12th on the Earth calendar as the falling leaves remind her of home.

Sign: (Optional) Dog (Libra)

Gemstone: Tourmaline

Blood Type: (Optional) O-

Fav. Food: (Optional) Teriyaki Chicken Skewers

Hated Food: (Optional) Anything involving ketchup

School/Occupation: Shrine Maiden (Fake)

Hobbies:

Reading "The Wikipedia" -- Confused by the current goings-on of modern Earth, Makoto turned to the one infallible source of all knowledge about everything: Wikipedia. She enjoys lazing in a tree at the shrine while reading printouts of articles that are brought to her by a servant shikigami. While the fact that it is an online website has been raised to her multiple times, she is adamant that reading information on an actual page is much more useful.

Online Gaming -- As one of the most accessible forms of many different games, Makoto has taken to the medium like a fish to water. It wouldn't do to let her game skills fall into decline and threaten her chances as the future King of Games on her planet. Voice comms even allow her to practice her English slang and idioms, though unfortunately she seems to have gotten into the habit of trash-talking twelve year olds on Call of Duty.

Playing the Shakuhachi -- While she isn't sure whether it was directly influenced by anything on Earth, Makoto's planet had an instrument very similar to the Shakuhachi. It tended to be played in the forested areas, and she had always found it very calming. Learning to play the instrument soothes her nostalgia, if only slightly.

Virtues:

Perceptive -- As a career competitive game player, Makoto constantly has to keep aware of changing circumstances. This carries over into other areas of her life as well, allowing her to notice tiny details that might be glossed over by others. One might find it rather difficult to bluff her.

Charming -- Makoto is an accomplished liar and flatterer, useful skills for games involving posturing and misleading. Honeyed words flow easily from her silver tongue, allowing her to make friends without much effort. Whether or not she means the compliments is often a mystery.

Adaptable -- Things can change in an instant, as Makoto well knows. Those who can change as easily are often placed in advantageous positions, and she hates to be caught out. Changing up one's approach to things can often open new avenues after all.

Flaws:

Overconfident -- Accustomed to winning and getting what she wants, Makoto can be prone to underestimating those she deems beneath her. This is often the source of much of her consternation and frustration when it blows up in her face.

Stubborn -- Following the above, Makoto hates to lose. Convinced that very few can actually best her in most forms of contest, she'll dig in her heels and tenaciously butt her head against a brick wall long after most others would have given up.

Lazy -- Aside from regaining and furthering her mastery over her magicks, Makoto doesn't have a drive to do much beyond play games and lay about. She gives the absolute minimum of effort to keep up the ruse of her day job, most often simply draping herself from a thick tree branch in the gardens and snoozing in the filtered sunlight.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Please see the provided image. Tails will be reduced to one, but the rest is accurate to know what Mako's basic appearance is. Obviously tail and ears are glamoured away during civilian activities.

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Soul Reflection: Whisper Headwind

Uses a special shikigami to absorb a portion of a target's vitality at the player's discretion, allowing it to mimic said target in both form and function (though to a lesser degree). The shikigami remains under Hakone's command, though it can be instructed to work in tandem with its likeness in the case of Order characters. Cannot exist concurrently with Unity clones.

2 uses, 60 second duration.

Summons propelling breezes to either speed and lift allies or rail against enemies.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Soul Reflection: Unity Divine Gale

Uses 3 special shikigami to absorb a portion of a target's vitality at the player's discretion, allowing them to mimic said target in both form and function to a higher degree than Soul Reflection: Whisper. The shikigami remain under Hakone's command, though they can be instructed to work in tandem with their likeness in the case of Order characters. These clones cannot exist concurrently with a Whisper clone.

30 second duration, 2 uses
Greatly speeds or hinders the target's movement and jumping ability, the winds now slightly obscure the target as if it was seen through a heavy storm

Super Sailor Scout Attack (Alternate/Enhancement): Guardian Spirit: WardStorm Shroud

A paper charm infused with barrier magic. The magic is centered around the charm itself, and can either be carried with a friendly target or thrown to the ground to give a static area of protection.

The barrier is an orb equidistant from the charm at all points, including underneath. The area of protection is typically enough for two people to stand in simultaneously, and will not bar Order members from entering.

It will quickly crumble under assaults from higher-ranked opponents compared to Hakone, with one rank above breaking through with focused determination in a somewhat short time. The further the gap between them the more quickly the barrier breaks, though it is resilient enough to provide good shielding against opponents of a similar level.

1 use, 60 second duration or until broken

Envelops the target in a veil of fiercely swirling wind. The size can be expanded to accommodate up to two people while Hakone is actively focusing and concentrating on the magic, and can effectively move with a friendly target. Alternatively, the shroud can be left much smaller to serve as more of a cage against opponents.

The barrier is strong against both physical and magical attacks, tending to cause melee strikes to careen violently off the wind upon contact and dispersing magicks amongst the gales. However, stronger opponents (or allies!) can persist and force their way through the vortex (the stronger they are than Hakone the more quickly this occurs). The veil is immobile so long as Hakone is not actively directing it or her concentration is forcibly broken.

1 use, 60 second duration

Eternal Sailor Attack: Shattered Seal: Netherrealm Expanse Raging Heavens

Hakone rings the bell at her wrist before ripping away her necklace and throwing it to the ground to shatter. Holding her free hand in a gesture of ritual focus, she summons a growing void from the point of impact. The area of effect is roughly 15 meters across, and enemies caught within usually experience an extremely chaotic disruption of senses or emotions at player discretion. The most common afflictions are seeing a obscuring forest dimly lit by dancing lights of no discernible source and a powerful feeling of being hunted by something unseen.

Hakone and her shikigami are unaffected by the expanse, though allies may choose to be affected to various degrees.

1 use, 45 second duration

Creates multiple negative pressure zones scattered randomly over a wide area, all surrounding a larger zone at the epicenter. The strength of the pull into each zone is chaotic, varying wildly, but the draw into the central vortex is always the strongest. Anyone caught directly in these whirlwinds is heavily battered by the air streams converging on them. The maelstrom also tends to churn the environment within it, causing visibility to be poor at best if caught in the magic's effects. Hakone cannot cause the attack to differentiate between friend and foe.

Deep Space Senshi:

Physical Features: Vulpine ears and a single tail, as well as fangs slightly longer than human canines (do no more damage than a human senshi bite would). These have been discussed previously with staff. See above civilian art for an idea!

Backstory/History: Hakone's memories of the fall of her planet are a bit hazy due to mental trauma, but she's young enough that she hasn't experienced any loss of the details. Chaos crept insidiously through her society, corrupting the magic that flowed so freely through her society and warping a paradise into a nightmare. Onsen became cesspools. Gathering halls crumbled to ruin. Warm twilights filled with cheers and warm conversation over friendly competition were silenced.

Try as she did, Hakone's magic could not repel the invading Chaos. Her fairly long-lived and healthy people fell ill and frail, fading away into the darkness. In the end only she remained, placed into stasis by the planet until such time as salvation could be found. While the senshi slept, her powers waned as the Chaos continued to fester unabated. Only the destruction of Archideus stirred the guardian from her slumber, tugging on her starseed and allowing teleportation to Earth.

Hakone was loathe to leave, but if her Eternal form hadn't been enough to combat the darkness... she was certainly in no state to do anything now. She needed to recover, gain strength, and return to vanquish the poison once and for all. Naturally curious, she assumed humans would be nonplussed by her appearance until she sent an older woman running and screaming down the main avenue of a small village. Thus she traveled under cloak and voluminous clothing until reaching Destiny City, following rumours of strange happenstance.

Upon finding a friendly Mauvian and receiving a glamour, Hakone now whiles away her days pretending to be a shrine maiden while refocusing her command over her magic. She's hardly qualified for her day job, but she's quite a charming liar when the situation calls for it. After all, the King of Games has to have a good poker face, right?
