Hobbies:
Reading "The Wikipedia" -- Confused by the current goings-on of modern Earth, Makoto turned to the one infallible source of all knowledge about everything: Wikipedia. She enjoys lazing in a tree at the shrine while reading printouts of articles that are brought to her by a servant shikigami. While the fact that it is an online website has been raised to her multiple times, she is adamant that reading information on an actual page is much more useful.
Online Gaming -- As one of the most accessible forms of many different games, Makoto has taken to the medium like a fish to water. It wouldn't do to let her game skills fall into decline and threaten her chances as the future King of Games on her planet. Voice comms even allow her to practice her English slang and idioms, though unfortunately she seems to have gotten into the habit of trash-talking twelve year olds on Call of Duty.
Playing the Shakuhachi -- While she isn't sure whether it was directly influenced by anything on Earth, Makoto's planet had an instrument very similar to the Shakuhachi. It tended to be played in the forested areas, and she had always found it very calming. Learning to play the instrument soothes her nostalgia, if only slightly.
Virtues:
Perceptive -- As a career competitive game player, Makoto constantly has to keep aware of changing circumstances. This carries over into other areas of her life as well, allowing her to notice tiny details that might be glossed over by others. One might find it rather difficult to bluff her.
Charming -- Makoto is an accomplished liar and flatterer, useful skills for games involving posturing and misleading. Honeyed words flow easily from her silver tongue, allowing her to make friends without much effort. Whether or not she means the compliments is often a mystery.
Adaptable -- Things can change in an instant, as Makoto well knows. Those who can change as easily are often placed in advantageous positions, and she hates to be caught out. Changing up one's approach to things can often open new avenues after all.
Flaws:
Overconfident -- Accustomed to winning and getting what she wants, Makoto can be prone to underestimating those she deems beneath her. This is often the source of much of her consternation and frustration when it blows up in her face.
Stubborn -- Following the above, Makoto hates to lose. Convinced that very few can actually best her in most forms of contest, she'll dig in her heels and tenaciously butt her head against a brick wall long after most others would have given up.
Lazy -- Aside from regaining and furthering her mastery over her magicks, Makoto doesn't have a drive to do much beyond play games and lay about. She gives the absolute minimum of effort to keep up the ruse of her day job, most often simply draping herself from a thick tree branch in the gardens and snoozing in the filtered sunlight.
