Cleaning up his younger siblings' rooms had become something of a habit for Taiki. It wasn't like the twins were actively lazy or avoided chores--no more than any child their age, at least--but laundry was easily forgotten unless it was an emergency, and so he often went in to clean things up.
He was scooping clothes off the floor next to Hikari's dresser when he spotted it--a piece of paper, with calligraphy writing on it.
His heart stopped for a moment.
Surely it couldn't be--
He dumped the pile of clothes in the hamper, and then went back tot he dresser to pick up the talisman laying there, and he felt his heart drop.
It was, indeed, what he'd feared: one of the very talismans he'd made with his own hand, and given to the people that helped him purge his Wonder of the monster that had appeared there. Which meant only one thing: Hikari had to be a Senshi.
The realization settled on him with a sort of cold chill. There was, of course, nothing he could do about it; you couldn't un-awaken a Senshi; but it wasn't exactly exciting to realize that one of his youngest siblings was in harm's way.

Hikari was having a rather pleasant day. She had finished her homework and was currently playing video games with her twin sister. She enjoyed quiet days like this because she knew her nights would bring the potential for life threatening danger. Eventually she got bored with the game and decided to go read some manga. She kept her manga in her bedroom so she headed down the hall. She noticed her older brother Taiki standing there with her and her sister's laundry.
"Taiki-nii you got the laundry! Thanks." She said as she slid by him going over to her bookshelf and picking up the manga she currently reading through. That was when she noticed him holding something that in all honestly she probably should have hid. The remaining Talisman she had received at Aokigahara. She didn't think anyone in her family would even notice it, after all it just looked like another normal Shinto talisman. However it would seem her older brother was very interest.
"Oh ah that's just an arts and craft project." She said snatching it from his hands as came up with an admittedly pretty weak lie. "We had to make something base on our family's cultural heritage so I decided to make an Ofuda." She with a nervous laugh as she slipped the magical item into her sock drawer.

Taiki sighed, as Hikari snatched it out of his hands, letting it go and watching her hide it away.
This was...difficult. How was he going to broach it to her? Directly, was probably the best bet; no need to beat around the bush or try to catch her in a lie. She was doing her best to avoid her secret identity being revealed, and that was admirable, but unfortunately...well.
"Hikari," he said, and his tone was firm, but gentle, "I know exactly where you got that from." He pulled off the necklace he wore with his signet ring attached, normally kept tucked under his shirt, and held it for her to see. "I gave it to you, as Aokigahara. Though I suppose I didn't realize it was you, any more than you realized it was me."
She had to be a chibi. He ran through a catalogue of the ones that were there--not many, and so he supposed he could guess at her Senshi identity, but he sort of wanted to hear her confirm it.

"I...You....Huh?" Hikari stumbled over her words as she tried to comprehend what her older brother was telling her, what he was showing her. Looking at the open door she quickly shut it. "How?" She whispered. "When?"
When she meet that Japanese knight some months ago she could never have imagined it being her own brother and yet here she was confronted with irrefutable proof that he was. She didn't like it, Taiki could obviously take care of himself but she didn't like the idea of anyone in her family being powered. Afterall what if Taiki ended up like that one poor page she had seen skewered at the last big battle.
She supposed though it must be worse for Taiki to know what she was, after all he was an adult, he was the older brother she was just a chibi. With a sigh she went over to her coat rack reaching into the pocket of her jacket and retrieving a golden pen with the chrysanthemum symbol emblazoned at the top. "Well as long as we're being honest. I'm Tachibana, the Senshi of Chrysanthemums."
"You're not gonna tell mom, right?" She asked a mixture of worry and hope in her voice.

"Several years ago," Taiki admitted. "I've been a Knight for a very long time." Longer than he should have been, for only being a Squire, but there had been unfortunate interruptions, and perhaps his Wonder didn't think he was ready for the full mantle.
Ah well, that was something to sort out later.
Her pen made him sigh. Yes, he remembered that Chibi--the one with the razor flowers. "Tachibana," he said, and he shook his head, briefly. "I'm sure I don't have to tell you to be careful with that. And no, I won't be telling Mother. She doesn't know about me, yet, and I intend to keep it that way."
He frowned, considering. Was it his place to tell Hikari about Megumi? Perhaps later, once he'd had a chance to ask their older sister for her opinions. "Do you have people to patrol with? People you can trust, in a fight?"

"About as long as I've been a senshi then." She said a bit shyly. She was embarrassed to admit how long she had been powered with little progress to show for it main due to her own lack of interest in patrolling although she was trying to improve on that. Still though it made her feel good that even her older brother was still a squire it gave her hope that she could catch up. Maybe one day stand on equal footing with him or maybe even with Ida someday.
"I know I'm careful with when and where I use it." She promised. She was relieved that he wasn't going to involve their mother in this. She thought about his question. "Not really, there's Ida, she's a Transcended Eternal and really powerful. Me and her share an asteroid family so she's helped me out a few times. But I haven't seen her in a while. There's also the other members of our group the Koronis but I've seen even less of them. Though they did once come to help save my world from a blight monster." She said thoughtfully before a realization made her giggle. "Kinda like your skeleton, I guess like brother like sister."
"What about you, you seemed to have some friends in that battle?"

Taiki nodded, thoughtfully. Ida wasn't a name he recognized, but if she was an Eternal, he hoped that she was trustworthy. It wasn't as if he was so blinded as to put faith in every member of his faction who happened to be third stage--he knew enough to know that was a foolish choice--but hopefully there was enough worth trusting. Especially if she'd helped Tachibana so far.
"I'd like to meet Ida, then," he said. "But you're right--I do have a few friends." He sighed. "One I was looking for was missing, but it was good to see Hyperborea again, and some of the others."
There was much for them to discuss, certainly. But at least it sounded as if his sister was relatively safe. That was...something of a relief, in a way. At least she wasn't totally helpless in this war.
