Recruiting The most common method of recruitment is to be given a business card as a referral. Cards are issued to Division Leaders who may then provide them to their subordinates to hand out as they see fit. This is typically entrusted to individuals who have reached the rank of: Commander. At this time it is possible that some Captains may be entrusted. Your Division Leader will confirm if you are one of them.
Individuals who submit an application are then interviewed and screened if their application is deemed acceptable. If an offer to join is made it must be accepted at that time or the offer will be rescinded. Once an offer is rescinded it will not be made again. Once an offer is accepted the recruitment is complete and gear will be provided.
Gear, once imbued by a talisman, is only to be used after-hours unless specifically instructed otherwise. It is imperative that we keep ourselves from being detected.

Start Up Gear
Standard Issue Uniform - All Soldiers are supplied with a basic uniform. They are able to choose from short sleeves or long sleeves when it comes to tops and slacks or a pencil skirt when it comes to bottoms. Basic uniforms come in six basic colors and Soldiers must choose one of them. An accent color is permitted for the piping, although it should ideally reflect the coloration of the Soldier's assigned mineral name.
Communication Device - After their first power up a Soldier should be instructed on how to access their inter-dimensional space. This pocket can be used to store small items -- in this case it comes pre-equipped with a communication device. Soldiers should be instructed to power it on and keep it with them at all times, in uniform and out. This communication device cannot be powered off and does not seem to require charging of any sort.
Side Note: Do not lose this. Lost Communication Devices should be reported to your Superior Officer immediately and you will be responsible for reimbursement.
Divining Shard - A piece of crystal ranging in color from a dusky greyish to a vibrant purple. There does not seem to be rhyme or reason to the difference in color and one does not work any differently than the next no matter what anyone says. A divining crystal can be used to vaguely sense auras in order to guide an individual either towards or away from a strong source of energy. This same crystal can also be used to collect energy which is then returned to the Dark Kingdom for redistribution based on the needs of the Shitennou and their task groups.
Side Note: Do not lose this. Lost Divining Shards should be reported to your Superior Officer immediately and you will be responsible for reimbursement. You will not get a new color if you don't like the color you have and you've "lost yours".
Mineral Talisman - Upon recruitment all Soldiers are presented with a talisman containing a crystal/piece of the mineral they were named after that has been imbued with the energy of the Dark Kingdom. It is through this talisman that Soldiers are able to power up and it should be on their person at all times. When powered down it emits no signal, is not detectable by any other powered individual, and often has the appearance of an inherited piece of jewelry with little value other than sentiment.
Side Note: Do not lose this. Period. The End.
Basic Information
State of Affairs - After receiving their Mineral Talisman a newly recruited Soldier will be passed off to another officer to be briefed on what is really going on in Mayet by moonlight. What is the current state of affairs for the Dark Kingdom? Is there a current objective or goal? Superior Officers should make sure that their new charge has all of the information they may need to make decisions and act in their own best interest until the next team meeting or training session.
Side Note: This information is usually supplied while reviewing other protocols and equipment usage. Some of it may even seem like idle chatter during a tour of the facilities. It is all important. Listen.
Basic Weapon - As a Soldier your basic weapon is intended, primarily, for training purposes. It is expected that you are just as likely to harm yourself as you are your opponent.These weapons are made of base materials and, while capable of doing harm, are not typically deadly. As such, they are often prone to breakage which is why Soldiers are permitted to swap weapons until an agent finds out what really suits them going forward.
Basic Skills - While in the training area, superior officers should also inform their new charges about the boosts that they will receive while powered. Things like Strength, Stamina and Agility will be heightened and, with the right training and practice, can be honed into proper skills. This would also be a good time to review the use of the Divining Crystal and review any combat skills a Soldier might already have.
Side Note: We have a full gym and training facility for a reason. If you can do it as a civilian you can do it twice as good as a soldier. Get moving.
Intel Notes: One is not simply recruited to serve that Dark Kingdom -- at least not always in a direct sense. In most cases the 'recruitment' comes in the form of a job offer, especially as we work to build our numbers. We are in search of strength, intelligence, ambition and determination. How many would believe you if you were to approach them on the street and tell them that you were recruiting on behalf of a Top Secret Organization? Would they still believe you if you then told them your organization had found a way to harness energy from an ancient power source to make them stronger? And if you told them that they would use that strength to defend their home, their World from an alien force sent to erase all traces of history as we know it to impart their own ideals?
Maybe one day they will believe us, but for now we have found that it is much better to employ them and to show them the kind of strength you can offer them instead...
