Himiko's mother had just finished reading her a bedtime story and giving her a kiss good night. However this night Himiko was faking being asleep. She had a very good reason for that, her big sister. She had noticed recently that Kirika was sneaking out at night. Himiko wanted to know where she was going and what she was doing that was so secretive. So She waited until she was sure her parents were in bed and she watched her window to see when Kirika left.
As soon as Himiko saw her sister leave she snuck out of bed to follow her. Pulling a jacket over her pajamas and slipping on some slippers she tiptoed after her sister being sure to be as sneaky as possible. When they were some ways away from their home she saw her sister reach into her pocket and pull out some kind of wand. She held it up in the air and called out some strange phrase as she suddenly looked different. She looked like a magical girl, a real life magical girl.
Her sister turned and continued walking, Himiko continued to follow her from a distance. Eventually she ran into a kitty that she seemed to know. Then the kitty proceeded to talk. This was all too much, Himiko's mind was being blown. It was so exciting, her sister was some kind of magical girl and she knew a talking kitty.

It didn't seem like a night that was at all out of the ordinary, as far as Izanami was concerned. She'd given her parents an excuse, slipped out of the house, and now she was meeting up with Julienne to patrol the city.
It had been a while since she and the cat had seen each other; long enough that Julienne wouldn't have seen the strange magic that had taken hold when she visited her planet, so that she now trailed smoke and embers, and her footsteps were marked with ash.
"Doing alright?" She asked the cat as she approached, bending down and holding out a hand. If Julienne wanted pets, she was, as always, happy to offer them. "Found any new Senshi lately?"
