Rydan 1
He was doing some side work for old friends here in Matori. The hammer rung out in the accustomed way. Each day he worked he grew stronger, and he couldn't imagine how strong he would be in a few years, people were lucky that most blacksmiths stayed at the forge and not on the battle field, a copious supply of heavy half molten metal would make for an interesting barrage.
He smiled at the thought. He made beautiful weapons, most of which he based off the lithe, strong curves of his beautiful wife. Even the lords now sought out some of his fine made weapons. He had the best little muse.

She leaned against an unused workbench as she watched Rydan work. Her brother was a blacksmith too so she knew better than to go near the hot stuff. Her other half not included in that. She'd willingly burn herself to touch him any day but that wasn't the point. She curiously leaned to the side to see what it was he was working on. "Anything special today?" Thea did want to know what it was he worked on all the time. Heck if she became more and more familiar with his work and people started to flaunt it around then she could always steal it from them. Wouldn't it just be nice to have a hoard of weapons made by her Tree Dragon?

Rydan 2 "Well, nothing too special, mostly some pieces that I like to make for sales as they sell the best and are very fun to make. Curves were challenging but rewarding. He held up the curved saber sword for her to see. "I call this the Barbarous Warrior blade, power and grace and death." He flourished and moved the blade expertly. A weapons master had to know his blade inside and out and that meant dancing with them all to ensure quality. Sometimes he let the forge heat and let Thea watch him dance the dance of death for her.

She smiled as he showed the piece off. Watching him work was always interesting. Whether he showed off his muscles, his skills with the weapons, or was just being an adorable goof, she enjoyed spending time with him at work. Not only because he couldn't come to her work and spend time with her. "Hm, it looks nice." Her head tilted to the side a bit. "Wouldn't think those would sell the best. Thought that might be a cute little dagger or something." Did people like those for decoration or something? Thea wasn't so sure. The making of weapons and selling of wares was best left to others that were not her.

He quenced the blade and setting it aside for a moment, ambled over to give his love a kiss.
"I always love it when you visit me at work, the day instantly gets better." He was fortunate to have a job like his where he could take a break when he chose. Few people argued with a smith that looked like him.
"At your service Princess Thea." He winked at her. Maybe she had brought lunch?

With him coming over to give her a kiss she grinned and greedily took it as well as stealing another. "Glad I can make your day better." When he stated he was at her service she arched a brow at him. "Princess? Not Queen?" Thea scoffed slightly and looked away from him with a fake pout. "I've been demoted. Who took my place?" She peeked at him from the side to see if he was going to play along or not. "Do I have to cut someone?" A very real threat since the hybrid thief would very much slice her blade at anyone that needed it. Only people truly safe from her were family. And even then she sometimes did want to cut her siblings.

Rydan 4 "Naww no one even compares to you, I was simply referring to the youthful vitality you have about you." Happy wife happy life and he also couldn't resist teasing her sometimes. He would be destroyed if anything ever happened to this spunky woman, it was a good thing she was too prickly for most people to attempt to mess with, no matter how cute she was. He put an arm around her gently. He couldn't not touch her she was like a magnet and he a scrap of iron ever drawn closer. He was grateful that she didn't mind cuddling. "What do you think the kids will grow up to do?"

She thought on it for a second. "I can accept that but I will cut someone if I have to." Thea warned. Her arms came around Rydan as she leaned against him. His question about the kids made her look up at him. "That is a good question. I'm not too sure. I can tell you that Lynx doesn't want to be a blacksmith. He says its too much work." She chuckled at that. Thinking of Lynx doing anything he didn't actually want to do was like watching a wagon wreck. Slow and painful. The boy was likely to make everyone around him regret the decision. "Have they said anything to you?" Now she was curious. If the twins had mentioned something to their dad about what they wanted to do then she figured she should know.

He sighed, “No they haven’t come to me yet. I wish they would, who knows if they have even thought about it, they are still so young, it took me forever to choose. I almost became a rider. Can you imagine. He had the kinfa for it too a handsome green beast but the forge had spun a song so fine it captured him like a moth to the flames. Now Thea was the only other flame stronger.
He was so grateful to have her. “Hey,” he shifted his eyes conspiratorially around. “Do you want to sneak away for lunch?”

"A rider huh?" She could kinda see it. Though with as tall as Rydan was he would have to have a large familiar for such a thing. Or be a bit shorter to fit well on the smaller animals. The thought made her giggle. No way could she see him being short. Not like her. "I think I like what you are now." She smiled up at him. "Is it really sneaking away if you are allowed to leave for lunch?" A brow lifted slightly as she questioned him.

Rydan 6 "No its not, but I like to pretend to live dangerously. Easier to sleep at night and keeps me amused during the day." He twirled a bit of her hair playfully. He enjoyed his private time with her. Other men would dislike being interupted. But he was drop whatever he was working on for her, unless it was one of those special jobs that paid their bills for half the year in one go. Then he would bribe her with shopping funds. They were a well fed family. Which was good because Iexa ate everything. Maybe they would get quiet children next time.

She chuckled at him and nodded her head. "Alright then dangerous one, lets sneak out for lunch." Thea thought it was cute that he was like that. "I'll let you lead the way since it was your idea." A smirk played at her lips as she said this. (( short post sorry.. D8 ))

Rydan 7 He brought her to his favorite noodle and soup place, and held her chair out for her. He ordered what he wanted which was a lot. He was starving, so hungry that he was already salivating at the thought of the food. Rydan stretched out in his chair, mildly concerned it was going to collapse on him he tilted himself back like an overgrown child. He may have by accident got the boys addicted to doing it too. "So how was your day?" He grinned.

"My day was fine really. I washed the boys' bedding this morning so its out to dry now." Thea, while she still worked for the guild, did a lot of the domestic stuff because she enjoyed it. Doing things for her sons and her lover made her feel good. "I do have work tomorrow though, so it'll be an early night for me." Of course by early she meant before the sun came up. Thea tended to have a horrible sleep schedule at the best of times. "Did you want me to pick anything up on the way home tomorrow night?" She didn't think her task would take too long so she could make a few stops before heading back afterward.

Rydan 8 Rydan tilted his head in thought, trying to dredge up any products that they were low in stock on. “Lemons and chocolate are low, other than that I think we are still covered for a while. Might have to go on a family hunt in a week or two for new meat, but i feel like we will all want in on that.” Even he liked hunting. He was also super grateful that Thea’s profession gave her flexibility, he wasnt awful out housework but nor was he all that great at it. He hated folding. At least the kids were almost ready to be taking care of their own stuff but Thea was an amazing Mother and she spoiled all of them with her love. “Soon the boys will be grown and it will be me and you, so much alone time Thea what will you do with me?” He waggled his eyebrows teasingly at her. Except he wasnt really teasing.
