And the stars heard her desperation, or the Code, or her Wonder, or something, because in that moment, as she lunged to interpose herself between the General and the civilian, the one who proudly touted that he had chosen to corrupt, she changed.
And she felt something bloom inside her, a new magic, and as she held her new suncatcher to the sky, a shimmering shield surrounded her and the civilian behind her. The blade struck the shield and glanced off, and Caer Sidi let her breath out.
She brought her ring up to her lips, staring the General in the eyes. She had worked with a Mauvian recently to use the blueprint that had come with it in order to upgrade it to send out hologram signals, and she activated that ability.
“This is Caer Sidi of Cosmos. I’m in Central Park, near the fountain, confronting a General. I need backup, please.”

“How interesting,” he said, and then he pulled out his own communicator.
“Agents,” he said into it, “this is General Ashanite. I’m confronting a Knight in Central Park; she’s called for backup, and I could use some assistance securing her for corruption.”
How familiar. The same dance, in the same park, except this little Squire was not in on the setup.
Out of the corner of his eye, he watched the civilian run away, but that hardly mattered. No, there was something much more interesting here now.

On a dark, rainy night in the dying days of Destiny City's summer, General Ashanite and Page-turned-Squire Caer Sidi clash over the fate of a civilian. When Caer Sidi calls for backup, Ashanite does the same, in the interest of rounding up a few corruptions. While the civilian is able to escape, the forces of Order and Chaos will meet for an all-out battle royale!
In short: this will be a week-long ORP with no boss mechanics, no HP or dice rolls, and quite a lot of fun! The opening will be posted on Friday, September 3rd; the closing will be posted on Saturday, September 11th. In the middle? Have fun!
In order to count it as a battle RP, you must interact in a fite way with another character, but there should be plenty of opportunity!
To help locate characters, the map originally provided by Whimsical Blue for And of Your Own Free Will, Ashanite's corruption, is here and reusable! Each square is 20ft by 20ft; please note which square your character is in in their post! (Ashanite and Caer Sidi are in square C3)

The message had been brief and to the point, yet it had given the man pause for thought as he swiped several notifications from his phone. Life had certainly gotten hectic in the last few months and he had been remiss in his own patrols. Not that he wasn't keeping an eye out in a civilian capacity given his actual profession, but he had been rather quiet in regards to his other duties. What exactly had happened in the last few months when he had taken a greater interest in his Home Planet and his civilian responsibilities? Ever since he had come back he'd received invitations, interrupted far more Negaverse agents than he was accustomed to seeing and now he was receiving what could only be described as a call to arms.
Strange, why hadn't his bugs worked?
...Was this one of those moments when they could have been useful and had a moment of 'Orias' where they had elected not to function? A distinct possibility considering how notoriously blase his companion could be.
"It would appear my vacation is over then?" he murmured softly to no one in particular. With no current company to be mindful of the man dropped from his vantage point and set out towards the park. He moved at a reasonable pace, and in no time at all he had managed to get within a reasonable distance of Caer. Given his point of arrival was in the South Eastern area of the park though, he wouldn't be able to render immediate assistance just yet.

Lt. Cristobalite (Square: D1)
She had never been specifically called by a General before - well that wasn't entirely accurate as she did answer to one, but in regards to any particular battle this was most certainly a first for her. Given that her evening had been entirely uneventful up until this point and she was otherwise left to her own devices to do as she 'pleased', it was safe to say that her curiosity was piqued.
Granted the woman had yet to receive a weapon she would deem useful by any measure, but she had gotten reasonably good at aiming that coin at specific points on a person's body and making it a genuine inconvenience, a distraction if you will. With them otherwise irritated by the presence of something whapping them upside something or other, they were often slower to react to the things that she could do damage with. Yep, while she may have lacked an official weapon she was more than happy to make use of those fists and feet that were blessed by considerably more strength in this form.
Apparently this evening was going to be a rare opportunity for her to put herself to use. Admittedly she already considered herself to be useful as she had been doing her job and conducting herself according to her existing orders but when it came to this... well, for once she might actually get to show that she was a little bit more useful than your average tax collector.
Given that her previous interactions with the Order had not been in her favour though, she did proceed with some measure of caution as she proceeded towards the park; arriving by the northern most entrance within several minutes of her summons. A little longer and she would be in the immediate vicinity of the General, but she wouldn't be so foolhardy as to rush, lest she be caught out by those who might lay in wait for something even she would acknowledge was a solid opportunity to get the first strike.
[Open to interactions, I don't think she's met many Negaverse folks at all yet. <3]
Hyperborea, Transcended Knight of the Cosmos (Square: C3)
Hyperborea took off at a breakneck pace as soon the SOS call came in the Wisp that had been following her bounced in alarm when she took off and disappeared before she reached the battlefield. She was vacillating between incredible anger at Caer for foolishly fighting a General, forgetting the fact that she had done the same as a Page, and great pride for her girlfriend finally attaining the rank of Squire, a fact she could sense through her Crown of Stars. She could also sense the General who was menacing her girl and it brought her no satisfaction.
Ashanite, an old and lost friend of hers, one who had been taken by force from the ranks of Order and was trapped by machinations of Chaos. To make things worse if the auras were coming from where she thought they were, by happen stance or destiny they had chosen as a battlefield the very spot Ploutonion had been corrupted into Ashanite. She would never forget it, the first place her starseed had been stolen, the first time she had actually witnessed a corruption live, the time she failed to save a friend because of her own weakness.
But none of that mattered at the moment, their past didn't matter if he was trying to hurt Caer then she would stop him by whatever means necessary. She reached the battlefield quickly enough ignoring the other few fighter assembled as she headed straight for the pair who started this all. She held up her staff concentrating starlight to the tip creating a ball of starlight that she sent hurtling towards the General. "Back off Ashanite! Right Now !" She hissed as she came to a stop between the pair "Caer are you alright?!"
Forgotten Spell
Hyperborea draws in and concentrates star light into a baseball sized star that appears above her staff. When she swings her staff down, the ball shoots towards her enemies like a falling star and explodes in a blast of force, heat and intense light that causes mild to moderate pain upon impact. At a player’s discretion, they may choose to take more intense or longer lasting injuries upon impact.
Wavellite was utterly giddy when she received the summons from her General, and even more so when she teleported to the male’s side, just in time to jump in the way of some crazy Rainbow Brite’s attack, pleased that she could be useful, even though ow!
“You won’t hurt my General. Not while I’m here. Come on, Ashie, don’t just stand there, let’s show these fools what we’re really about, yeah?”
Her stomach was burning where the attack hit, and her hand went to cover it, wincing just slightly but trying to appear far braver than she actually felt. She was a captain now. She was useful. She had a sword, which she brandished at the rainbow clad girl.
“Back off. You can’t hope to win. Not with Ashanite here. He’s the greatest General that we have!”
...Perhaps if she continued to butter him up…
Her eyes flickered to him and she beamed, her expression begging for some praise, or at least some recognition that she had teleported here. All on her own. And took an attack for him. Clearly she was worth something.
The night found Empyrean and Paradise out on a leisurely patrol when the distress call came through their signet rings — acquired from brief trips to their Wonders on the advice of their second son. Empyrean caught Paradise’s gaze upon receiving the call, and with the sort of easy, silent communication often gained by couples fortunate enough to enjoy nearly forty years of marriage, they agreed to respond.
Making their way to the park was not as quick a journey as it might have been with the teleportation abilities offered to some Negaverse officers, but the power they did boast gave them an extra burst of speed. They arrived together, hand in hand, coming from the north east, still some distance away from the action. There were trees between them and the fountain, not so densely planted that they couldn’t see around them, but enough to serve as an obstacle.
“Watch your step,” he warned Paradise, though he was sure he didn’t need to. It was habit to look out for her, and he knew she didn’t really mind. “There are strong auras. We should be cautious.”

DMS Tsukuyomi of Kasha - B5
Tsukuyomi, uh.
Tsukuyomi... had not received any sort of distress signal or summons, being neither White Moon or Negaverse. In fact, her very presence was just sort of a really weird coinkydink, because she just so happened to be in the area at the time. Having a heated discussion in voice chat with her crew mates that may or not have been 18+ and related to certain characters in a certain mobile game they all played, when Safiya realized things were starting to go down just up ahead between some folks that probably had something to do with the civilian the seemed to be fighting over.
Far be it for her to get involved in something she had nothing to do with and nothing to gain from usually, but she was here, and maybe she'd get some entertainment out of this, so why the hell not? Maybe she could do something productive for once with these new powers of hers.
After the absolute disaster and fiasco that had been the whole Cybele thing, Sylvite was a little bit hesitant on the concept of forced recruitment. It wasn't something she was going to seek out doing again on her own without a really good reason. It wasn't that she was against it, though. She wasn't against other people trying it, at least. It would be so, so great if it actually worked.
That was why, when the General's message came through, she only chewed the insides of her cheeks and thought about it for a full five seconds before she teleported straight into Central Park.
The message had specified a Knight, but as the blurriness from her surroundings shifting cleared, Sylvite found herself face to face with somebody else.
Somebody familiar.
"Oh. You're still alive," she said to Athalia, not even resisting the urge to roll her eyes at him. It had to have been at least a year since she'd seen him, since it had been Order Eternal Cybele that had saved his sorry butt that night. When he hadn't shown back up after that, she'd figured that someone else might have seen her database entry on him and taken him out. Apparently not.
"Whatever. We can fix that," she said, and she lunged forwards, her upgraded dagger shimmering to existence in her hands.

Lt. Leifite - C3
The call went out and for the first time in several years - at least to her understanding - her General's voice echoed through the communicator. She wanted words with the man but there was a knight of cosmos to deal with. She still couldn't teleport - she still hadn't made Captain - but she could run.
"Oh, hello there little Cosmos...." she cooed, steps slowing as she crossed the park to join her General facing her. Caer Sidi dripped more power than before, with a fancy new weapon and a dress for miles. It made her skin crawl. How dare this knight gain more power when she hadn't. How dare this b***h ascend the ranks faster than her.
How dare she not bleed black.
"General Ashanite, sir." she said, finally addressing her superior. Leifite leveled a stoney gaze at him, then nodded at Wavellite. It was then she finally noticed the absolute oozing Order energy that was the glowing Knight of Cosmos in front of Caer. Perhaps that was the reason it made her skin crawl.

Super Sailor Cybele: F2
Cybele almost always had her senshi phone out and at her fingertips, these days. With the target she'd seemingly gotten on her back, she knew that it was only going to be a matter of time until someone got smart about trying to kill her and she'd need someone to come help protect her again.
She had a whole list of contacts who had offered to help her, in that case, and that was the main reason that she felt safe enough to go out and confront the evil in the city.
It turned out that she was also going to be receiving one of those calls, though.
Of course she showed up. Someone needed her. She sprinted across streets and through alleyways until she could see the green of the park before her, and she felt the cluster of auras that was already starting to cluster there.
Some kind of ambush? That thought made her heart beat faster in her chest. She slowed down to edge around some trees, trying to get a better view of what was going on in the central area, near the fountain.
There was a distress call. A Knight calling for backup. A Knight that General Ashanite wanted to corrupt.
It had been years ago that Jet answered Queen Laurelite’s call to that same park. Years ago since she had corrupted Captain Ashanite.
“Make sure you save that in your subspace pocket,” Jet said to Cymophane as he held out his hand so they could teleport together. Being out in the city was a good way to practice draining energy, but all of that could be put on hold until they found out what was going on at the park.
“This is General Jet. What’s the status of the target? What do they look like? Magic? Weapon?” Jet held the communicator up to his mouth to speak to General Ashanite, although he broadcast to all of the agents in the area.
He cast a glance at Cymophane, frowning a little with concern, because while Cymophane was a good fighter from what he saw, he also couldn’t teleport on his own if anything happened.
“Stay close. Don’t try to engage Knights or Eternals.”

While Roselite excelled behind closed doors in an office, filling out paperwork, Bloodstone wanted him to get first hand experience with everything. He wasn’t combative like Carnallite, and was prone to panic attacks. So the best option was to ease him into learning everything about being a Negaverse agent.
And the start of that wasn’t pulling starseeds, since he had a feeling that Roselite was still frustrated with him for before when they’d found that wisp. Instead, it was gathering energy. Just a little from crowds in the streets below.
At least until a distress call came in. Bloodstone waited until Roselite was ready, and then teleported them both to the location. It would theoretically take longer for the Knight to draw in their allies since they couldn’t teleport like agents, but time and time again the White Moon proved itself to be cockroaches.

Transcendent Squire Pendour: A1
A General in the park? Someone calling for help? Oh, that couldn't be good at all.
Pendour wondered which one it was. Was it the one with fangs and wild eyes who wasn't quite human, who maimed instead of killing for the thrill of it? Was it the one who she'd been running into recently, the one with the curly hair and the long weapon, who always seemed to be in the middle of some kind of sickening actions.
Was it someone else with a sad, twisted soul, lashing out?
She didn't know. All Pendour knew was that she wanted to go help with whatever had happened, to ease tensions and pain in whatever way she could.
The gathering of auras around the park made her pause. That wasn't what she'd been expecting, and when that happened it almost never ended well. She arrived at the northwest side of things, flinching at the sounds of battle she already heard from nearby.
If only they were about twenty or so years younger, maybe she could have convinced her husband to retire from service early so they could fight a magical war and dress in pretty outfits. But if they did that, they wouldn’t have the opportunity to meet such lovely, sometimes misguided, young people.
“Oh, thank you darling,” she smiled brightly up at him as they made their way into the park. She could definitely feel the auras, but as she looked one way and then the next, she frowned a little in disappointment. “I guess Ganymede really is busy tonight. I was hoping you could see her in her gown -- Oh! But there’s Cybele. Hello Cybele! You’re looking lovely as always. There’s leftover lasagna in the refrigerator if you’re hungry later!” Paradise called over to the young woman with a friendly wave --
Oops, right, they were supposed to be careful about the other darker auras in the area.
