Syaa was enjoying his day greatly at the Matorian market. Life was good and he even had a bit of coin today. Not much but enough for some food and a trinket, and that was all he really wanted out of today anyway. Food and a trinket. He was wandering about looking for something shiney to wear when he bumped into another interesting looking hybrid.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." He reached out a hand to steady her, she was so tiny compared to him. "I'm so clumsy, must be a growth spurt."

Zyura was jolted out of her reverie, she had just been to the library and was carrying an armload of books. If she was to ever elevate her station in life she would need to study. The book titles included in her hoard were Spell Casting for Beginners,Runes and their Uses and Elemetal Magics for Dummies. It was a good thing she had had a deathgrip on them too or the books would have gone flying. Still she swayed a little before whoever she had bumped into steadied her.
She looked up and up and up.
"Well your bloody big arn't ya?" Tact was perhaps not her strong suit. He had an interesting mix of water and alk traits that seemed to work really well for him.

He raised an eyebrow at her comment, but then again she was very small. "You appear to be studying for something, may I ask what it is?" The books she was carrying around looked heavy and of good quality. She must be super smart. Her back would also get very strong this way.
"My name is Syaaryn. Would you like some help?"
Someone bumped into him roughly and he grunted. "What was that?" He asked confused.

Someone slammed into her...again. She lost her temper. She screeched at the culprit who took off running. She saw that the little water punk had one of the smaller books and what looked like a bracelet that matched the colors of her new companions outfit. "That little weasel", she snarled and placing her books down took off running. Did this little punk even realize who he was dealing with?! He didn't have too much of a head start and she had grown up in the country with a lot of walking. Her legs were very strong. Behind all the rage she was feeling she wondered what the tall hybrid would choose to do.

He hesitated for just a moment, looking down at the books shehad left behind before racing off after her and the person who had so obviously stolen from them both. He raised his eyebrow at the pace at which such a tiny creature could run. But in a flat run without too many turns, there was no easy compensation for longer or more muscular legs. He passed her in a semi open area like she was standing still. He cornered the thief in an alleyway that was clear of debris. He reached out and caught the scruff of the kid who had failed to breach the wall and had been trying to get past him. He shook the little kid a bit. " Stealing is bad give us back what you stole."

She sped as fast as your smaller frame could muster, her rage burning through her like nitrous fuel. She worked hard for everything she had including these books which held the key to her whole future. It made her blood boil. She slid to a stop when she got to the pair; the tall extremely helpful hybrid held the little water kid whose eyes were round like dinner plates by the scruff of his neck. Good the little brat should be scared after what he dared to do to them. " Give us our stuff back punk," she grabbed at her silver haired wisping out in every direction. A sheer sheen of sweat and dust from the streets making her feel quite gross.

The kid seeing that he was quite caught handed over the items that he had taken from them.. Syaaryn put him down and the kid wasted no time and sprinting off into the shadows of the alleyway. No doubt finding a nice bolt hole to free himself. Good riddance. Hopefully the kid would think about what he had done and would look for more legit ways to earn coin. Syaa had been raised to forage things, usually people were more than happy to trade for rare useful herbs and he loved to be alone in the bush. His herbs were always fresh and well preserved. He made good coin off them perhaps no one had taught the kid to forage he saw a strange savage look in his acquaintances eyes and move to stand in her path.

Zyura 4 Instinctively her prey drive kicked in because of the chase, and still caught up in the thrill of the hunt and the physical exertion. she lunged after the kid only to find that the other hybrid was blocking her path. "Get out of my way he should pay for stealing a book, books are sacred. What if he scuffed the cover? What then? Some things can't be taken back." Her yellow eyes glinted within her fire

Syaaryn 5 "It's not worth it. He had a real fear in his eyes. He will think twice before doing it again." Syaa stood his ground despite the fire that rolled in waves off the girl and made his sensitive feelers twitch. Where did someone this small get so much energy. Her heart must be beating as fast as the birds. "Come, I'll treat you to some food." He hoped that the universal currency of a full belly would be enough to lure her off the path of righteousness she was on. He watched as the torches and pitchforks faded from her eyes.

Zyura 5 She could almost feel her ruffled feathers start to come down at the hopeful prospect of food. Her ears and eyes again focused on the tall one, and blinked twice. Food. Her stomach rumbled plaintively in hunger, overcoming her frustration. She hadn't eaten breakfast this morning, she was going right home from the bookstore anyway. Had she ever been wrong! She tossed her head. " What kind of food?"

Syaaryn 6 There now, she was fixated on her stomach, a much more peaceful emotion. Rage had its place but it's fearsome power was best use protecting those you love from danger.
" Anything you want from the market stalls I love all food equally." Better to not be picky with such a big frame to keep full. He was hungry too. Then again he was still growing and so felt hungry always. He stepped forward slowly and placed her teeny hand on his arm like his parents had taught him.

Zyura 6 She hummed with delight. Any food! "I have just the place with a teeny crab shack on the beach." Cozy, comfortable and perfect, serving seafood and a small selection of local favorites. She had always wanted to visit with someone there. Zyura collected her books and they headed there straight away. She nearly bounced with joy when her feet hit the fine sand of the beach and the smell of good food led her over to them.

. The moment he got a whiff he made a beeline to the restaurant. He started to salivate, she had chosen a good spot and one he had never been to before. They examined the menu and he couldn't figure out what he wanted. Everything looked good. He waffled back and forth finally made his order. He stood back so his companion could order. They had exchanged names on the way over. Zyura was a very pleasant, pretty name. And it seemed to really suit her to

She ordered her food and gathered the drinks, they sat down at a table facing the ocean and started to chat and get to know one another. It felt oddly easy to talk to him. Mostly because she didn't feel judged at all. As if to him everyone was worth it. She really liked that, not to mention he was easy on the eyes. At least something good came out of getting robbed today she thought and patted the tomb that would had been successfully stolen if not for him. "Thank you for saving my book," she smiled.
