Monoceros huffed as he traversed his third typical patrol route, changing it up. He didn't want to fall too much into patterns and be caught or something. The last thing he needed was for the Negaverse to force him to become one of them because they figured out who he was. He probably wasn't as paranoid as he should have been, but it was hard to figure out a good middle between paranoid enough and too paranoid. That aside. He sensed a Chaos aura and crept towards it from atop the buildings, eyes searching frantically for whatever jackass was out there getting ready to commit murders.

Lilith could feel the pricking of an Order Super Senshi aura. That was....not great. Her last encounter with someone a rank above her had gone absolutely horribly, and she wasn't looking forward to having another. There were so, so many reasons to avoid getting into it with people stronger than her; not least among them was sheer self-preservation, but there were lots and lots of others, too.
So, fine, she would just have to...figure...something out. Maybe she could talk her way out of things, if she just. Got away from the civilian she'd drained unconscious and pretended she hadn't done that. If the Senshi didn't see the body, there would be no reason for them to suspect her of any wrongdoing and no reason for her to end up fuill of porcupine quills. Again.

Aha. There she was, walking quickly away from someone clearly passed out on the ground. Well, he wasn't stupid, contrary to popular belief. He leapt forward and slammed down in his favorite superhero landing in front of her, grinning up at her sharply. He would stop her every time if he had to. "Hey there Katara," he said, resting an elbow on his upright knee and then his chin in his fist. "Out causing trouble again?" He gave her a mocking, pouty look, lips in full duck mode, eyebrows up, and head tilted gently to the side.

Oh, s**t.
"Oh, it's you," Lilith said, and she took a half step back away from him. "Look, we don't have to do this. It's not exactly chivalrous of you to keep beating up on a girl who's weaker than you, is it, Mr. Hero Man?" Talk, and talk, and talk, and maybe this wouldn't end in her getting her a** kicked again.
"Because whether I've been causing trouble or not, that is pretty shitty of you." She would have to be quick. Get in a shot of her magic, and then while he was drowning, run. That was it, her genius plan.
...It was all she had, honestly, and she hated that. Normally, she liked to feel in control, but that just wasn't happening with someone that much stronger than her.

Damn. She was right, he really didn't want to fight someone weaker than him like this. But someone had to help, regardless. Sometimes that was just how it went. Especially when Monoceros took the time to actually remember that this senshi could, in fact, drain people and take their starseeds. Kill them. Effortlessly. "See, that's the problem," he said, rising to his full (albeit short) height. "I already know you were causing trouble. Maybe I'd just tell you to go home if you hadn't been. But I saw you walking away from that guy in the alley... Even so, I'm willing to let you just go home if you turn around right now. No quills."

”I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Lilith lied, blatantly. Of course she knew. Ugh, she’d hoped he hadn’t seen her walking away, but apparently no luck. Here she was, caught dead to rights with nothing to do but attempt to lie utterly unconvincingly.
“…If it helps, he’s not dead, just unconscious and about a hundred bucks poorer because the idiot carried cash, and that’s his tried-to-grab-my-a** tax.”
She took a breath. “Anyway, sorry to have to do this, but I’m not gonna let you stick me full of pins again, and I don’t trust you to just let me walk away. Kelpie’s Lure.”
She moved forward as quickly as she could, aiming to grab his arm and inflict her magic. That was all she needed—one hot to keep him distracted and she’d run as far and fast as she could. Especially since he’d have a hard time calling that ******** Quill Burst attack if he couldn’t catch his breath to speak.

Monoceros raised a disbelieving eyebrow as she tried to lie her way out of this. Seriously? She clearly had a higher opinion of her lying ability than any sense in her head. "Actually, that does kind of help. Good ol' a*****e Tax," he said with a soft snort, giving her a little bit of a smile. Maybe he was too lenient of a person, himself, but it sounded like that guy got what was coming to him. Really, he only objected to the whole "murder" thing she seemed to enjoy. A little a*****e tax seemed like nothing compared to that, and creeps needed to learn a lesson somehow. Without permanent consequences. And her not trusting him was totally fair, but it still sucked to have your breath stolen from you by feeling like you were ******** drowning. He crumpled to his knees, gasping for breath as she'd managed to grab him and activate her spell. Well, ********. At least it would be over soon, he thought, coughing and wheezing as he choked on nothing. He didn't want to hurt her back. Not tonight. So he didn't struggle to get in a hit, or try to summon the will to speak a spell, letting her go. Maybe something good could come of that later.

Lilith wanted to take it as a victory, that he didn't fight her, but it only felt like one for a moment. Mostly, it felt like a good reason to run the ******** away; he wasn't trying to keep attacking, he wasn't trying to pursue, and she had time to book it with her cash and her energy, and disappear into the night.
Way, way better than having to deal with his magic again, or any kind of physical fight at all, because Lilith hated the idea of having to tangle with him again. She knew she'd lost last time; in the pit of her stomach, she sort of felt like she'd lost this time, too.
Oh well. At least she was out of there and no one was going to make her life harder tonight.
