Thal 1
Thallassa was pursuing one of his favorite passtimes on the reef. Spear fishing was mentally and physically demanding and sometimes it provided dinner. It was the ultimate island gentlemans sport. Quite a few ladies ruled the reef in their own right too. He was always game to go fishing with other young islanders. He was somewhat surprised to see another prentice out in the sea on such a rough day. Not many were brave enough to ride anything rough for fear of being mistaken for food by a shark or snaptrotter. In fact it was limited to the foolish, the naieve and the overconfident, or so his mother had told him... often.

Thal 2

Thal had a front row seat to one of the best shots he had ever seen. he gave the other diver a thumbs up in congratulations. He leaned into his own swimming and bagged a few fish before suddenly being buffeted by the waves.
Oh no, a storm was moving in, and they were stuck out in the middle of it.
He knew he should have listened to his Mother. Thal paddled strongly back to the other swimmer and signaled that they should head to land.

Thallassa 3
Thal couldn't see all that well in the streaking downpour, but he could tell that his compatriot was at least part alk the feelers kind of gave that away. He was excited to meet someone new, but the ferocity of the storm kind of put a damper on it, Thal began to run to the nearest dry cave hoping that his companion would follow him. He scurried around the face of the sea cliff, and found the partially hidden entrance and all but dove inside. He groaned at how lovely and dry it was.

Thal 4
He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck. "And Ice tribe, but I can see how you got confused." His coloring was quite unique. Some shifter water hybrids would look similar to him after all.
"Not too hard to guess your other half, either. My name is Thalassa and you are?"
His parents had instilled upon him some good manners and he flexed that knowledge. I'm going to make this the fire this place comes with a built in chimney.

Thallassa 5
It was a good deal in his opinion, he prepared some kindling. He laid kindling and dried bark in the fire spot. It was soothing to make a fire he didn't go anywhere without flint. It was a personal rule he sought to always keep. He did not relish cold nights, ever, not when there was the obvious solution of a fire to protect against the problem. He struck the flint and cursed his nursed his baby fire through the initial struggle.

Thal 6

" I happen to have a few greens and more in there. Luckily for us potatoes as well. The whole point of him being out here was to do exactly this have a cookout, though the company was unexpected and welcome but unexpected. Perhaps he could get some new fish recipes from the fellow, if you do the fish, I'll do the accompaniment." His stomach rumbled at this most promising development. He was horribly hungry from all of the swimming before becoming cold from the rain.

Thal 7

Thal had had one, but it was way wet, and would need to dry out to be of any use at all. Thal sighed deeply content. They had a fire only good things were to come of that; food, dryness, warmth and light. Maybe this feeling is why his father had spent so much time in the bush. He felt like maybe he understood that now, food seemed to taste better when eating outside. He laid his only blanket on some scavenged sticks to dry. He was quiet and tired.

Thallassa 8
He yawned involuntarily, “I was born here,” he looked over at the other hybrid.. “My dad is originally from Xena but lived in Oba so long he basically became a part of the place, feeling like he would die of lonliness and that he was going nowhere in life he moved to Matori,, where after he acclimatized he began to work in the community. He took on some students, one of which was my mother. After she made a name for herself they bumped into each other again and fell in love. “
