I love Kung Fuuuuuu~ -- t's stereotypical, she knows. Very stereotypical. But she can't help it! In an effort to keep ties to her ancestry (and probably because her Grandmother put the idea in her head) Dongmei has been in a Kung Fu (as the American's know it) class ever since she was five. One day she hopes to be a master of Qi for now she'll settle on just mastering the basics. She attends every Monday, Wedneday and Friday.
Sacred Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom -- Off to the side of the bath house is a slowly growing peach tree that Dongmei planted from the pit of her first peach. Every day she can be seen checking up on it, watering it, even talking to it! She's excited for it to grow into a fully fledged peach tree and produce peaches. She's hoping to sell them in shop or even try turning them into preserves.
We do not wash our pits in the Pool of Sacred Tears -- (except you kind of do) Dongmei's parents own and work at a bath house called "Pool of Sacred Tears". Though she doesn't really get paid, she works there part time after school when she's not at her Kung Fu lessons, usually picking up dirty towels or watching little kids in the seating areas out front.
When she's not working on homework behind the counter anyway. Most of the time, though, she's offering drinks to those who hang out.
Budding Streamer -- Dongmei, a lover of video games, is starting to try and branch out into the streamer life. It's still a new hobby, and she's trying to figure out a good streaming schedule, but so far every Saturday night seems to be working out. Hopefully she'll be able to add more days in the future.
Her gaming library is small, but she has several emulators she runs for those old school games her dad loves so much. She's even trying to get Melody in on it! She can be found under the handle CosmicPanda.
Pros:
The Needs of the ManyHelpful -- Dongmei has always been the kind of person to do all she can to help those in need. Despite having homework and Kung Fu lessons, she's always been willing to throw some extra time around the bath house her dads own. Or help her grandparents around their apartment cleaning or shopping. Or even just some kid who needs help getting their cat from a tree. There's nothing too small that will keep her from helping someone in anyway that she can.
Don't Worry, I Got ThisDedicated -- Wanting to be the best she can be, wanting to make something of herself, Dongmei is hard pressed to do less then her best. School is not something she takes lightly and she will never settle for second best. As such she takes double the notes, always asks questions and will even stay after school to make sure she's understood the lesson properly. She stays with it until she's got it down and covered, and this attitude bleeds over into all aspects of her life, making her track record for finishing what she starts pretty damn good.
Cons:
Outweigh the Need of MeOverextended -- The only real issue that comes from her willingness to help others is how little she tends to care about herself as an outcome. Though her Kung Fu classes meet three days a week, she does still have home work on top of it. And the work she gives herself to keep the house neat and helping out at the bath house, finding time to stream, it can get a little much.
And very hard to find some time for herself. Her sleep schedule is a little wonky, some times having to stay up late to finish homework. She doesn't dare talk to her dads about it, fearful that they'll try and restrict her time either at kung fu or helping out at the bath house.
*breath in* Calm... *breath out* Zen...Anxious -- The saying goes "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" and while Dongmei isn't really tough she certainly knows how to leave a dust trail in her wake. That is to say: Dongmei does not deal well with stress.
A more accurate thing to say would be that she refuses to really deal with stress and will literally walk away from a situation that pushed against her stress tolerance. Overcrowded areas, too much responsibility, too much pressure to do something she feels she can't do, not being able to understand the way something is being explained to her... She tends to cry or walk away from whatever the stressor is until she can better deal with it.

Unlike her cousin, Dongmei is full Chinese. Her father, Niu, asked a friend of his to help him and his husband have a child. That friend, who is a godmother to Dongmei, was also Chinese. Alejandro is 1/2 Venezuelan and 1/2 Japanese. Reads, writes and speaks in fluent Mandarin and is helping her dad teach Melody. Alejandro is Papa and Niu is Dad. Is very close with her cousin and the two of them think of themselves more as sisters then cousins. She was actually there when Melody sort of broke and cut her hair, then went with her to get it fixed up. She was even the one to suggest the pink ombre effect to the ends of her hair. Scent/Perfume: Moroccan jasmine, chrysanthemum, tea leaf, white musk, and acai berry. Niu Kai (37) co-owns and runs a hot spring styled bathhouse called Pool of Sacred Tears and a restaurant called the Golden Harvest Restaurant with his husband. Niu runs the restaurant side and handles the ordering of all supplies needed for both sides of the business. Alejandro Kai (35) followed in the footsteps of his father and is the proud co-owner of the Pool of Sacred Tears. While Niu handles the food and supply ordering, Alejandro runs the bathhouse side of the business and is in charge of making sure all bills and employees get paid. Both she and Melody will often help out after school doing various chores or helping out in one portion or the other. Melody, more often then not, helps out in the restaurant across the street. When they got married, Niu chose to take Alejandro's last name of Kai. The Kai family, and Melody, live in a two bedroom/one and a half bathroom apartment above from the restaurant. It's spacious enough, though a little cramped in the room the girls share. They're happy to make it work though. During the tourist season the apartment above the bathhouse is rented out as an air b&b type situation, which works out pretty well since they're located across the street from one another.
General Appearance
Dongmei has medium brown hair with the ends dyed into a green ombre effect. While normally straight, once in awhile she seems to get waves from it and it's long enough to pull it back into a ponytail and often wears it as such.
Her eyes are almond shaped, more golden then brown, and narrow compared to her cousin's. Her face is rounder and a bit more heart shaped, with a rounded though slightly flat nose and full lips. Skin tone is medium tan, which is tan with a cool undertone.
Dongmei is 5'2" and a little on the heavier side, it mostly being muscle from her years of doing Kung Fu. She is average in the asset department, much like her cousin.
Dongmei cares not for fashion and is more the type to wear whatever is most comfortable. This usually comes in the form of jeans, shorts, or galaxy print leggings; boots or her galaxy print converse sneakers; and t-shirts or tank tops. Most of her shirts are either galaxy print, features pandas, or a mix of the two. Her favourite tank top has a galaxy print panda on it and her favourite shirt is the Pandaren Brewmaster design. She also all but lives in this hoodie.
Accessory wise she tends to wear two golden hoops in each ear, and a gold chain with a jade dragon pendant.

Determined reads a little more like Dedicated, specifically because it applies to tasks. Works well, but I'd consider shifting the word so it aligns better!
For the first Con -- Overextended as the word, maybe? She stretches herself too thin, commits to doing too much at the sake of herself?
Which can definitely lead to the second one -- Stressed. Do you think that the stress could potentially be anxiety, leaving the Con to then be Anxious? It reads a little more like that, especially since it seems that it's not necessarily the stress that she doesn't deal well with but the stressors themselves.
Let me know when you're ready to move on and we'll get her approved!
