While Giulia had been annoyed by Jada's insistence that they go to the Big House instead of the City House, the fact that Scylla gave her a piggy-back ride part of the way, and kept sharing energy as needed with Ara as the other chibi flagged, went far to keeping the Chibi of Seals silent. The City House was smaller and Aidan would probably be worried about his sister and her friend, and the Big House would have comfier mattresses and a bigger snack closet...

"I tried." Giulia was very proud of her attempted contributions, and she beamed happily at the compliment provided her by the older girl, punctuating her delight with a yawn that cracked her jaw from ear to ear. She blinked her eyes at the other girl, taking in every little scratch, scrape, bump, and bruise that the other girl bore silently and feeling even more proud of the best friend she had hero-worshipped for years now. "One day I'm gonna be as strong and awesome as you and Jada, or like a knight."

She kicked off her shoes at the large marble foyer of the mansion, and led the way towards their bedrooms, bypassing the family's main areas so that they could embrace the comfort of a thousand pillows all the sooner. "Do you want me to run you a bath, Lucia?" Giulia asked as they ascended, "I got some yummy new bubble bath, and the soak might be nice." The TV was in Giulia's room though, so if Lucia took too long...

From behind them, downstairs, Giulia heard a tell-tale crash and clatter from the kitchen that said Jada was going to try and bake their snack- probably brownies or cookies- and her blue eyes widened in alarm.

"Which movie do you want? I am thinking something Ghibli would be nice, but I can just pull up one of the streaming services and we can roll dice for it." Maybe if she ignored the fact her sister was being left alone in a kitchen unsupervised then nothing would go wrong!

This was why Giulia loved Lucia. As supportive as a sister, with half the hassle, and a supreme sense of when Giulia was feeling down and useless. "I bet my Eternal power will be a walrus or something, not some stinky orking seal. Then we'll be even MORE awesome, because Walruses are HUGE."

Blue eyes rolled back towards Lucia at her friend's oh no. Her brows furrowed, lips thinned, and the blonde gave her friend a tight nod. "If we ignore it, nothing will go wrong. So, do you want a bath bomb or a bubble bath?" Turning on the water, Giulia pushed herself across the floor to the cabinets, opening them to the bath treasures within.

When Lucia arrived in Giulia's room post-bath, the blonde was in yoga pants and a loose top, stretching out her legs and torso as she massaged some leave-in conditioner into her curls. "I have no idea what it was, but it killed any desire to watch Mononoke-hime. How do you feel about Howl, or maybe Kiki?" Maybe The Cat Returns? Mmmmm, nah. "Spirited Away would work too, but I think Grave of the Fireflies or Marnie would make me cry tonight. I want something cute."

Tapping a finger against her lips, Giulia sighed. "It looked like it was bleeding those little wisps we'd been seeing around town. I wonder if the wisps were from it getting injured, but where did it come from? I would think most people would have noticed a massive croco-zilla. And the bubble was still there, so the bubble probably wasn't a crocodile egg or something."

Yes... a walrus would be amazing, Giulia decided; seeing Lucia stabbing the air from the corner of her eye as she got Kiki started. "You'll be so shiny." Giulia agreed admiringly, coming over to join her friend. "You'll blind them, and Mama Walrus will STAB them."

By the time that Jada made it up with snacks for the girls, at least one of them was fast asleep, tucked up beside her best friend and snoring peacefully.
