Quiana was just spending her time sunbathing like usual. The Elidae was stretched out along the beach with a wooden bowl of fruits close enough for her wandering fingers to reach. Every so often she would shift slightly on the woven blanket so that she could pluck one of the juicy orbs and plop it into her mouth. "Mmm." This was definitely a better alternative to just training with the others. She was thankful that she had tricked a few Elidae into believing that she was going along with older Sisters to learn more hunting techniques today so that they wouldn't try to drag her into the usual routines of dash, strike, block, sweat and repeat. A yawn escaped her as she closed her bright green eyes against the afternoon sky. This would be a perfect time for a nap. She decided before allowing the temptation of sleep to once again claim her as puffy clouds started to block out the sunlight.

Kasumi had finished a little bit of morning training already and would go back later to finish. She was glad to have some free time even though she couldn't find Mio to hang out with. Just then, she saw something ahead of her on the beach and decided to go investigate. As she neared the strange spot she realized it was another girl sunbathing! Didn't that sound like a good idea? Approaching the girl, she had a slight bounce in her step that the good day had not taken from her yet. "Heya!" She said as she got closer.

Oh great tree. Quiana winced as she heard the obvious approach of another. Even if she had skipped out on her training the Elidae wasn't completely unaware of her surroundings nor would she make so much noise herself. Was it a youngling coming after her then? As long as it wasn't one of the mentors then she surely would be okay. A soft sigh left her lips before she slowly turned her head so that she could study whoever it was that was loudly approaching. "Oh. Hey?" She managed with some effort before turning her gaze away again. Another Elidae that looked to be around her own age and not a youngling surprisingly. Quiana just braced herself to see what type of conversation this would surely bring about. Oddly enough though the other girl seemed happy rather than upset to find Quiana sunbathing on the beach instead of training.

"Didja finish up your training early too? I prefer the two sessions instead of the big long one, I get sooooo tired after those." Kasu was completely oblivious to the mood of the other girl. "I'm Kasumi, what's your name?" She rocked from heel to toe while she contemplated if she should just sit down or perhaps she should wait until the other girl asks or maybe she should ask...well maybe she should just find out the other girl's name first.

"Yep, totally finished. Quiana didn't even miss a second as she just went along with what the other girl suggested. That definitely made her job easier today and she was all for lazy mode. "I'm so beat that a nap sounded amazing." After a thoughtful moment she patted the warm sand next to her. She supposed as long as it wasn't bothersome she could share the blanket a bit. "Quiana. My grandmother lives outside of the main encampment so I'm not around that much." Save for training...yeah totally training all the time. All day every day.

Kas smiled at Quiana, "Thanks." She said politely as she sat down. "It's probably nice to be outside the main encampment, it can be pretty busy sometimes. Though, I have to admit, I'm not sure I could ever leave. I love my Mom and sister too much." Not that the other girl had even suggested such a thing, just that the thought of living elsewhere caused her panic levels to start rising in anticipation of the decision she would have to make so instead she decided to change the subject. "It sure is a nice day, not a bad day for a nap. I'm sorry if I interrupted yours!" She realized suddenly. Quiana had been laying down when she had first approached her...

Quiana raised a thoughtful brow before chuckling. "Well then don't worry since I doubt many expect us to leave the area. If it wasn't for my grandmother wanting to be slightly apart from the rest then I suppose I would have lived in the main encampment as well. At least we're only a short walk away." Ever since her mother's disappearance with another sister her grandmother had wanted to keep some privacy so that she could protect Quiana more than the rest. Quiana didn't mind as much since it allowed her to laze about more than training with the others. "It's okay. I was honestly worried you were a mentor wanting to discuss more training options." She admitted after a moment. It seemed this other Elidae was more friendly and less aggressive than others so surely it would be fine to be more relaxed around her, right?
"If anything you can try to suggest something entertaining since I lost my chance to nap now." She mused with a grin as she tilted her head to study the other girl.

"Oh...I see..." The girl seemed to be in thought for a few moments after Quiana's explanation. It made sense and yet at the same time she didn't quite understand it. In any case, she figured it wasn't something she needed to understand. Inwardly, and accidentally outwardly, she groaned. "They don't stop with all the options do they? It's not like it's easy to just pick a path that will depict your whole life and just be okay with it just like that!" It had been a point of disagreement for the usual cheerful and easygoing girl and her mentors. And then, as if life was trying to make her make more and more decisions, Quiana suggested she come up with something to do since she lost her naptime. Kasumi fiddled with her cuticles. "Well....we could go...no....not if you're wanting to avoid everyone training. Well perhaps....no that's better done in the evening..." She mumbled to herself.

An eyebrow raised in interest and Quiana found herself nodding. "Unless you have my grandmother. She basically thrust a bow and arrow into my hands and told me to find my inner magic for sacred heart." The Elidae teased with a grin before shaking her head, her dreads bouncing with the movement. "At least we don't have as many options as the earthlings apparently do. I would love to just dance for a living though." She admitted with a wistful sigh as she just imagined it.
"Go where?" Quiana found herself interested especially since Kasumi seemed to be mulling something over. If anything being told something was risky only increased her desire to try it out. "I could always figure out a way around others if you really think it's worthwhile."

"That makes it easy I guess, unless it isn't what you want to do then I guess it would make you feel kind of stuck." Kasumi pondered. "I suppose you're right. We have more tradition and follow the ways of our ancestors." If she had even more things to choose from how could she ever decide! "Well I was going to say we could go to the tide pools since the tide should be going out soon but I think some of our sisters were training over there." She shrugged, if they could get around people that might be okay. Its not like she was really opposed to it...she just didn't want to have the possibility of people asking her if she'd made her decision or not yet.

"Yay for that." Quipped back Quiana with perhaps a little too much flare in her words. Her recent arguments with her grandmother had rubbed her a bit raw so hearing about such things wasn't the most pleasant for her right now. Still, she shouldn't take out her frustrations on her ancestors since they were technically the reason she existed today. Quiana gave a shrug at the thought before deciding it was best to offer some advice that wasn't completely from her own anger. "Maybe start with magic. If you feel a pull towards Sacred Heart or not will surely help your weapon of choice." She had learned that much from watching other Sisters as they discovered their own paths.
"Tide pools? I suppose we could try those out." Quiana pondered the idea before shifting so that she could stand. "We'll just walk around the other cove that's usually empty by now?" She offered as she pondered a good route for them to take as to avoid being seen by others who perhaps would not take as kindly to her presence.

Kasumi picked at her cuticles now as Quiana's tone changed but as the other girl moved the conversation on so too did Kasumi. "Mayybeee, I suppose magic is pretty hard to learn perhaps I will start there!" But wasn't everything hard to learn too? She deflated a tad thinking about it, wouldn't everything be equally hard to learn at first? She didn't know for certain but if Quiana suggested a place to start why not start there?
As her new friend went to stand, Kas popped up quickly, it would be fun to go to the caves but she didn't normally like going around the other way. "But....isn't that the way that there's that strange Nanu'ila?..." She had heard some of their cousins talking about how there was a Nanu'ila in that cove when usually they stuck to the lakes and rivers. She had avoided that way since then as she didn't want to deal with a territorial bird even if she wasn't really sure it was there to begin with.

Quiana chuckled. "Well if its too hard then that's an easy solution for you. Just ignore sacred heart and focus on more melee routes. Spears are nice for that. " Or archery though that took a lot of patience and precision which Quiana worried about with the energetic Elidae.
"Even better." Replied Quiana with a wicked grin. "It should be fine as long as we respect the boundaries. Others tend to just loudly barge in but we can skirt around the edges." And worst case she could get some amusement from watching Kasumi scramble around if the Nanu'ila decided to chase them. That decided the Elidae motioned for her new companion to join her as she started to take a few steps forward. "Let's go now if we're actually going to do this."

"There is that too..." Kas pondered. Spears...swords...gauntlets...magic...bows....there were just so many options! Again she decided to table that discussion for perhaps a much later date. If Quiana thought they'd be okay then maybe she could trust the other girl. "If you think that'll work then lets do that! I would like to go to the tide pools so I guess we can try!" Kasumi turned and started in the way of the tide pools though not completely knowing if that was the way Quiana wanted them to go or not.

"High risk, good rewards. " Quipped Quiana playfully as she followed Kasumi. It would simply take too much effort for her to take over so she was content just tagging along whatever path the other Elidae chose. "Maybe the nanu'ila likes to sleep around now? She offered almost thoughtfully as they skirted around the lower cliffs and emerged around the area leading straight into the cove. So far she hadn't spotted the creature so they could only hope that it was somewhere else for the time being.
