Fav. Food: Complete meals, home cooking, foods that sit lite. Things like waldorf salads, or elote and mangos with little strips of fajita chicken on the side.
Hated Food: Anything overly salty, greasy, or sleazy - he cannot handle too much cheese on anything. Essentially? He's grown to hate most bar food fare, hazard of the job. If he must suffer it he will, but he'd rather not.
Hobbies:
The Hustle: Aramis is hustlin' - Picking up side gigs, handing out business cards, getting his name in to her peoples mouths. Putting up howto tutorials for views and packing up pintrest pages with his well crafted ideas to push onto others. Anything to make a little extra towards his goals, and he enjoys the creative aspect of figuring out how to best go about turning his time into money.
Stylin: Ever since he was little, Aramis has always loved playing with hair. Nails. The whole works. Little bottles of polish snatched secretly from a store. Borrowing his friends Barbie's and taking a pair of scissors and colored markers to them. The childhood fascination with being able to dress up and design has over time morphed into a more realistic one of seeking his own personal salon. He still plays with hair for fun, making lovely little mockups and wigs for his own personal pleasure.
Occupation: Wait table staff part time. He bartends regularly, puts a portion of the money aside for classes so he can become a certified beautician and nail stylist. His dream is to have his own salon, but in the meantime? He buss's tables, serves the perfect long island, and makes margarita's that'll make your mother scream. He doesn't drink, so much as he enjoys the tips he earns from working for people who do drink. Looking nice is a plus, and if he can work a little side hustle of doing hair or nails out of his apartment he will. He's always pushing for clients, and slightly drunk women are the absolute best sorts of clients.
Home Life: His family is all back in the midwest, he's one of several children, and it was all 'get out or die' of boredom. The second he hit 18 he grabbed a backpack all of his summer jobs savings from the last four years, hopped on the nearest bus, and made it straight for the coast. He loves his family, respects them, but they never really understood him and his craving for more of everything. They were happy, complacent, and he could never have been that. Nothing there was ever good enough, fast enough, or bright enough to keep his interest. No love strong enough, not his families, his friends, or his intermittent flings. It didn't help that every relationship he'd had was a straight crash and burn. He could blame it on the fact that he's young, and highschool sweethearts were never last, but he'd rather blame it on the place. Surely if he moved he'd find someone worthy of his kind of affection. Someone worth staying for, eventually.Regardless of all that, there was nothing to keep him back home, anchored, so leaving was the easiest thing to do.
Virtues:
Active Listener: All day long, listening, patience personified, and not in that shitty 'mmhmm' way where people seem like their listening, but really aren't. No, Aramis will listen actively, give input, pointers, pro tips. He'll let you vent his ear off and be supportive the whole while. Just need someone to b***h at for an hour? Fine, he's your boy. Want someone to problem solve with? Bring it, he's got solutions for days. Aramis is invested in having meaningful conversations with end goals. He's also adult enough to understand that people need their five minutes to let steam off.
No Bull: Blunt force honesty, truth on tap. Aramis doesn't hold back his opinions, doesn't douse his words in sugar and syrup so they'll go down easier. Best way to be supportive? Tell someone the damned truth, even if it sounds ugly coming out. Better they hear it from him than someone else, because he knows he'll get the call a week later saying he was right and how they should have listened.
Flaws:
All about that business: Aramis is always looking for a come up, a one up, a step up. Bend over and let him place his well manicured toes directly on your back and shoulders to climb up and over all those daunting barriers to entry; to abscond up and beyond any walls in his way by using others as his stepping stool. Sorry, not sorry - if he forgets to reach back over and pull you up with him.
Me, Myself, and I: Aramis comes first in all things - even when it seems like he's being selfless, or giving. Its all just a slight bit of puppeteering on his end. He's willing to put himself out there for others, but only when he knows doing so will reap a social reward for himself. There has to be something in it for him, in all things, money, pleasure, a favor. He likes to put in his time - knowing it will pay out in dividends later when he needs things.
