Quote: The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to ‘grant’ it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it! Bellite wasn’t always the most sentimental person...well. She was, but she was trying to work on that. Life was going so well now. She had her family, two wonderful girls who made her stupidly proud. They were both almost full grown now though and that was more than a little bittersweet. Though...as long as they were happy...she was too.
And here she was at the wishing tree, having already put on a wish that her girls would be happy throughout their lives and asking for whoever took that wish would use it to make someone else smile, it was only fair that she take one herself. That she put a little bit of good into the city.
Taking down one of the wishes, the Captain read it over and gave a little smile.
Clean some trash off of the streets? She could do that...and as she felt the aura of a Page nearby, she figured that she could do that right now.
Sure it might not be the trash that the wisher had thought of...but...they hadn’t been very specific...and Order had to be taken care of...they were a blight on this city.
Summoning her axe to her hand, Bellite moved towards the aura, not bothering to hide her own.

For the last five years, Melody didn't have much of a reason to power up. Sure there were youma running amok and evil chaos agents to be wary of. But just knowing they were there was enough to avoid them and not put herself in a position where they might be a threat. Simple things such as sticking to a crowd, not being out after certain hours which was significantly harder in the colder seasons. However, it seemed that running into Sava the night before had sparked something in her. Perhaps it was a simple curiosity; before her purification the two had ran into each other multiple times on the rare occasion Melody powered up. Then again maybe it was because she had been feeling lonely for a long enough time that the prospect of having a friend, one she didn't have to hide this powered stuff from, kind of excited her in a way. A part of her had hoped Sava was out patrolling as well, or perhaps someone else she could chat with for a while. That hope was unfortunately quickly dashed when the first aura she sensed immediately set off internal alarms that had her turning on her heel and grabbing fistfuls of fabric to hike up her skirt so she could run away from whomever, or whatever, was now chasing after her. She was too exposed out here, no crowd around to blend in with so she could power down. "s**t, s**t s**t..." she hissed through clenched teeth. Naturally, the first time she broke her routine was the first time she ran into someone of the opposite faction... again. However, she was certain that lightening wouldn't strike twice and that this time she wouldn't be lucky enough to be threatened to take them to her wonder again.

Bellite grinned when she felt the aura moving at some speed away from her. Well. At least this little page knew when she was in trouble...that boded well for their future survival but...obviously they weren’t...smart enough to realize that…
The captain teleported right in front of the page and swung her axe at the held up fabric, aiming to tear the skirt rather than hurt the flesh...she wasn’t a messy fighter...and blood would just ruin that fabric, obviously.
“Why are you running from me, hm? Don’t you want to say hello? That’s quite rude, don’t you think? Here I am, taking time out of my night to grant someone’s wish...and you’re running from me like I’m the prince and you’re Cinderella. Such a pity.”
Watching the page, Bellite played once again with the wish she still held in her hands. “See? It says to clean up some trash from the streets...and here you are. I’m here to clean you up. Shall I take your starseed or do you prefer this to be messy?”

The wide-eyed surprised look on Einhornhohle's face was impossible to miss with how the whites of her eyes could be seen around her lavender irises as she took a staggered step sideways, nearly tripping over the hem of her dress . She looked down and in her hand hung a swath of silken frabric that had been cut clean from her skirt. Her gaze then traveled to the hip-high cut that split the side of her dress exposing both her ankle and thigh in a manner that might made a passerby have some unsavory or questionable thoughts about what was going on here.. With one fell swipe of of that sharp pointed axe, the Captian had managed to turn her brides maid looking attire into a lady of the knight and Einhornhohle was equal parts irate as she was embarassed by this fact. She grit her teeth and leveled a pointed stare at the woman and almost growled "How about neither." Her other hand balled into a fist at her side and as she made a motion to swing at the agents face, her weapon, a golden tealight lanter, appeared.

Ah, the look on the page’s face was enough to make Bellite laugh. The sound was utterly gleeful. “I mean, that’s really not in the plan, you know. It’s one or the other, princess. But aren’t you pleased that I’m letting you choose? I promise, taking your starseed will be the less painful of the two deaths but.”
The Captain began to gently pull energy from the page, amused that the woman was taking the bait so easily. There wouldn’t be death tonight but...if someone was fighting for their life...they wouldn’t notice a little energy going towards a quota, now would they?
Taking a step backwards, Bellite raised her axe and met the tealight lantern. “What is this supposed to be? Your mighty weapon? That’s...rather pathetic, don’t you think?” Keep talking, sweetheart. With a handful of energy...that would be more than enough for the night. She could plant the seeds when she got back home and would consider the night a resounding success.

Growing up with three older brothers had its advantages. On one hand they taught her how to fight, how to properly throw a punch, and how to fall if someone tried to knock her over. They all liked to rough house and while they rarely ever tried to hurt each other, accidents happened and only rarely was there the intentional blow to not only ones pride but their handsome faces. On the downside, it meant that she hated to be treated like a weakling, detested being looked down upon and livid at the idea of giving up or admitting defeat. Rather than let out an unfeminine snarl, Einhornhohle smirked and with her other hand that still gripped the fabric, she swung low aiming for the agents gut. Adrenaline was an amazing response to moments of fight or flight, however it could only take someone so far when they were running low on fuel. It felt like she was moving under water and some unseen weight was causing her movements to become sluggish. The second swing fell short and she stumbled back a few steps with a perplexed expression. "What... what did you do?" Running for such a short distance shouldn't have made her feel this sluggish; she wasn't this out of shape... was she?

Bellite laughed again, though gave a soft hiss when the punch landed, rage filling her eyes for a moment, though it cooled when the second punch missed and the page stumbled backwards. “What did I do? Goodness, why are you always so quick to blame the ones on the side of Chaos?”
The captain pulled her free hand from behind her back and showed the page the ball of gathered energy. “I’m going to assume you’re feeling tired, hm? Sluggish, maybe a little sleepy? Didn’t you know that we could take energy, little page? That we can drain the very thread of life out of those we get close to?”
The ball vanished into her subspace pocket and she gave a mocking curtsy. “Thank you for helping me make my quota. Metalia and the Dark Kingdom greatly appreciate it.”
With a last laugh, the Captain teleported, leaving the page alone in the night, drained of energy, with a ripped dress...all in all, things had gone quite well indeed.
And tomorrow, she would plant whatever seeds came in the packet and make the city just a little more beautiful...and perhaps she’d pick up some litter around the library too. Just because.
