A lone female with her cerulean tail walks out onto the arena, carrying with her a microphone as she looks around and smiles as she stepped onto the stage. "HELLO LADIES AND GENTLEMENNNN! WELCOME!" She started before suddenly one of the speakers gave feedback, which quickly got on her nerves as she shot a glare at it before she shook her head. "Welcome to the first and possibly only Tournament of Flames ever needed to be held! Your gracious host, and the best host, offers you all a chance for 10,000,000 lien and bragging rights as usual, but he does want people to follow the rules. As you can see by the size of the arena, a nicely made 90ftx90ft squared arena, you have two ways of obtaining victory in the first round." She started, walking around in the center as her hips swayed and it commanded her tail to follow as she knew she had all eyes on her.

"First, and probably the easiest way to win for all you common knuckleheads, is incapacitate your opponent. You can't kill them, but make it to where they cannot continue the battle. Whether it's by paralyzing them long enough for a 10 count or they are knocked cold, if you can get them down, you win. The second way to win, is to Knock them out of bounds. If you can't hold your own in the arena, and that includes your footing, you're not meant to be a huntsman NOR a fighter! Better to pack your things and leave in shame!" She began to laugh quite heartily into the mic as she grinned at the stunned audience just beyond the image of the arena's viewing.

"Right now, the rules remain as such, you fight, you win. You can use whatever you bring in but you are not allowed to kill your opponent, any attempts will disqualify you right in the get go. Now let's introduce our contestants to see who can handle the host at the end..." She started with a small grin and was slowly lifted into the air by way of a flying drone holding her up on some swing as she sat on it. "Up first, coming from parts unknown and telling us to play it fair, a man whose Spear is known to decimate so many Grimm! GARRET REVELRY!" She shouted as rather than a Vehicle bringing him in via a transport cage, he was instead escorted there by foot by a few of crime family's men to ensure he didn't up and stab anyone. "Isn't he a treat? He likes to help people from the looks of it.... but can he stand up to one of the boss's special pets?!" She moved up on her swing to standing on it as she hangs from one of the wires, the Drone maintaining stability and slowly began to rotate at her leisure as she shouted. "Weight in at 1.2 Tons and nothing but pure anger and death! An opponent you still aren't allowed to kill! PRRRRRRINCESS PUNCTURE!!!"

As she shouted the name of the enemy to be, a large caravan with a shaking cage moved close and thrashed around as Lilli was raised higher with a knowing grin before she finished the line. "Our company's prized Grimm." A line that got screams out of the audience as the cage open and a severely damaged looking Deathstalker scrambled out, it's tail having been modified to have several bamboo spears attached to it, the pincers having been shaved down to resemble needle-nose pliers with sharp points at the end, obviously this creature was not made for a fair fight. Speaking of fights... "FIGHT!" She shouted at them both.

Garret would listen to the announcement from his waiting area off stage. He was in it for neither the money nor bragging rights; the founder of this 'tournament' had led an attack on Vale itself, and was using Grimm to do his dirty work. Garret could not allow for such a threat to stand; and he was more than willing to fight and strike the man down. 'And he had the gall to host a tournament that announced the world his crimes and intent to commit more,' Garret thought with a flash of anger usually uncommon to him. He knew not who the other participants were, in particular, only that it seemed only one of them would have the chance to stop the host and that a fair few had entered given what he saw in the waiting room. Garret was going to make sure it was him; anyone else would have to give it their all to best him as he was not going to make it easy. The hostess would then announce the rules of the tournament; you can win by rendering your opponent unconscious or knocking the opponent outside the ring. Such...safeties surprised Garret given the person who was hosting this. He was expecting this to be more death matches than this; it only made things simpler for getting rid of his competition. 'Though the prospect someone can win just by being knocked out...I must prepare myself for someone trying such tactics so they do not best me,' he thought to himself quietly. It was not a tactic he could necessarily due himself; at least not in a simple way.

It was then she would get to the introductions; for his match at least rather than everyone participating. He would find himself singled out and escorted onto the battlefield by a small group of men. Garret was uncertain if it was because they did not trust him or were just there to guide him; he felt it was a mix of both. He remained calm though, spears on his back, as he was escorted. They would announce his spear was known to kill many grimm, and... 'Mispronounce my name...' he thought as visible annoyance flashed across his face. He was called Revelry rather than Reveley! Of all the things to get wrong...He would just have to rectify this after the match, and bring honor to his true name. She would make a comment about being a treat, and then that he likes to help people. He was wondering where she was getting all the information; he wasn't sure his own deeds warranted it but he would not vocalize it for now. But then she would say he was against a special pet? 'They have me relegated to killing a creature?' he wondered, partially surprised. That was until she began to describe it...whatever the creature was, it weighed a lot that was the embodiment of anger and death. The name was a bit...strange to him. 'Princess puncture?' he wondered till he would see a caravan with cage approaching and she finished announcing it as a Grimm. As the cage would open, Garret would find his opponent to be a death stalker.

Not an ordinary one though; the creature seems to have ben modified greatly. As much as he despised grimm, he did not like that it seemed they felt it was not deadly enough and had to forcefully change it. Its tail had several bamboo spears attached to it, and its pincers filed down to be sharper. He almost felt bad for it; almost. All Grimm deserved was death; they should not be kept as pets or changed. Just an eternal rest was all they deserved. And Garret was prepared to mete it out till he remembered a rule; 'No killing,' he thought with a silent curse as the announcer said it was time to fight. As far as he knew, there was no knocking Grimm unconscious; they fought till they died. The only way to restrain one would be to neuter it of all its weapons, making him curse the rules of this tournament. Leaving a Grimm, especially a prized one to the villain host, did not sit comfortably with Garret. But he had to attempt to defeat in that way if only so he could make it to the person who controlled it. Then he could have all the grimm executed; only then would he find victory. For now though, he would draw his two spears as he faced the grimm. He wasn't going to make the first move though; he would calmly wait for it as he focused on his anger to its very existence. If he was going to defeat this beast without killing it, he would need to lure it and get a feel for its particular movements as well. "Come for me, Pet, let's see how weak you truly are," he would say insultingly to it. He had no clue if it would understand, but he needed this thing to come to him.

The Death Stalker came crawling out, its body having been modified to their liking as bamboo spears remained attached to it. The pincers like spears, but now it had an opponent before him, something to focus on as it screeched at him through its mandibles. The current focus for anger to let its frustrations out on, the deathstalker began its quick charge towards Garret, the legs moving quickly as it primed its stinger up above. It looked ready to strike at Garret, but instead, it took one of the pincers it had and attempted to stab at Garret with the needle-like tip first with the right pincer before bringing the tail down to stab at his current location. While it did not know how strong Garret's aura was, if any of the hits landed, Garret's aura could be lowered quite a bit or he could be sent backward towards the Ring's edge. Whatever the result, the creature wouldn't just stand by, it would follow Garret's dodges or knockback by turning or charging at him once more. This creature was in so much pain.... its anger was the key factor of its guiding attacks.

All Garret could think on was ending this creature, and the fact he will not be granted his request for now. Grimm, to him, were a infestation that needed to be exterminated; as it screeched at him it only reinforced that notion. The fact that anyone who keep one as pet given what they represent and how many had died to them...was unacceptable. Predictably, Garret assuming more from his own channeled anger than anything else, the beast would charge at him with modified pincer at the ready. 'It doesn't look like i'll need to worry about keeping its attention,' he thought to himself with a slight smirk. As it went to attack, Garret keenly watching it but unmoving for the moment, he would focus on it's main avenues of attack. The stinger that covered much more spot now, the sharpened pincers that could not only catch him but also cut now. It's maw was technically one as well, but it was less of an issue than the other factors. As such, when it went for an attack with its sharpened claw first, Garret jumped back to try and stay out of range of it. And then the pincer followed, with Garret moving back still. The beasts recovery with attacks may be a weak point of it, especially with the weighted stinger, but he had something he had to consider now too. 'If it just follows me, then it won't go out of the ring unless I do. I need to anger it even more,' he thought as he would switch his approach. The grimm had made him get ever closer to an edge of the ring and pretty much necessitated a change of strategy to deal with it. Rather than keep moving back from its attacks, he would pivot and instead charge to it when next it was going to strike with it's pincer; finding it the best opening he had as he would go on the attack. He would spring forward with Heir in his right hand and go for a stab to it's pincer itself. He needed to cause the beast pain and more anger to get it to commit to killing him. After the attempted stab, he would try to follow it up with a slash from Virtue as he would run towards it on its left side. He wanted to get close to the thing and do as much damage as he could.

The Death Stalker's right pincer missed, hitting nothing but air as it watched the man leap away. The eyes focusing on him before lunging the heavier stinger at him only for him to evade it again. Its sounds of anger becoming more obvious as the stinger struck the stone before pulling away, avoiding being stuck as it began to follow him, this time not as fast as the stinger slowly primed itself to attack. Its left pincer opened up as it reached out to try and grab the now charging Garret, but it did not account for his speed as he leaped up and over the striking Pincer and instead proceeded to stab it. He cracked the plating with one of his hard stabs before he landed to the side. Garret proceeded to slash at Princess Puncture's as he moved, causing the beast to quickly back away and retaliate with a sweep of its long tail. The knockback on it was great but the positioning on Garret's behalf was superior as he'd be able to survive tanking a sweep if he failed to dodge. The sweep would knock him back, but it wouldn't ring him out. The Death Stalker's cracked shell pincer would become noticeable to Garret during the sweep, showing off previous damages done to it.

Garret had been a bit surprised to see the stinger not get stuck into the ground or have a slow recovery like he had hoped. It seemed the additions did little to slow the powerful appendage of it; something he would need to keep in mind during this fight. He had some dust he could use to help ensnare it if he got the chance; he just needed spacing to fit it into virtue. Pinning the beast wouldn't help get it out of the ring; but it could give him an opening to do some serious damage to it while having to hold back from killing it. 'Perhaps I shall be able to neuter the beast,' he thought to himself as a plan was starting to form in his mind. A plan that entirely revolved on getting some breathing room with it. His first priority though was to not get pushed out of the ring; and his counter attack worked. While it did not sink into the creatures, he did notice he broke through its armored plate; whether by his own strength or a weakness of the creature he was unsure. But it was something he planned to exploit. His secondary attack managed to cause pain to the beast and it to back away; but its tail would come in a sweep. Rather than try to dodge it, Garret brought both spears up in an X-cross to tank the hit as he was pushed back quite away from the strength of the beast; no red aura flashing though. It was something he had yet to activate; he liked to start fights off without it up.

"Is that all you got, Princess? I'm disappointed; a beowolf is more of a challenge than you," he would say aloud to the beast. He doubted it could understand the words, but it could maybe tell the underlying tone. If not, it was a good way to keep its attention on him. With the newfound space, Garret would insert a black dust crystal into Virtue; adding the effect of heavy gravity to it. He would also place a small white dust shard into Heir; augmenting it with the aspect of wind. He had a plan forming in his mind; if he could get the opportunity, he could potentially anchor it and perhaps one of its weapons to the ground. Limiting its movement and allowing him to weaken the beast. The wind dust in Heir would serve to keep it off balance and delay its own attacks; perhaps enough to help him knock it out of the ring eventually. While the overall objective was to get it out of the ring, he also wanted to give it as little avenues of attack as possible such that its own attacks become more reckless. Red aura would now briefly appear on Garret as he activated his defensive aura. 'Let the fun begin,' he thought to himself as he charged towards the beast now, eyes open to react as needed. His overall plan was simple; he would try to dodge or block with Heir attacks by pincer/stinger; and with Virtue to impale one of those appendages into the ground. Preferably, should the opportunity present itself, it would be the stinger. But he would settle for the weakened pincer.

The Death Stalker was annoyed all of its attacks were missing, even worse Garret's counter was exposing weakspots of the creature but its own retaliation was blocked as it knocked Garret quite a few feet away, but not out of the arena. The Grimm screeched at him from beyond its mandible maw before beginning to move closer to him while Garret verbally taunted the creature in a language it couldn't understand. But the laughter of the audience was sure to agitate it into a frenzy as it ran towards Garret, the tail trailing behind it this time rather than being primed. They ran towards one another as the Deathstalker attempted to screech and turn, almost as if it was a drifting car as it aimed another wide sweep at Garret since it worked last time.

However, it seemed the beast fell for Garret's planned counter as while it was skid sweeping with its active tail, Garret was able to leap over the coming tail and stab at it with Virtue, the heavy gravity dust sticking it to the ground as the Stalker screeched and stopped it's drifting course. It was attempting to pull away but the increased weight was making it difficult to prime or pull it away.

He for sure was aggravating the beast, judging by it's screech and subsequent charge to him. Seeing its tail down rather than primed though had Garret suspicious as to it's motive. Most scorpions he had ever seen or heard of almost always had the tail up; for the grimm to have it down either meant it was trying perhaps for speed or to do something atypical. Thusly, once the beast tried to repeat it's success with it's slam Garret was prepared; doing a graceful leap over it while stabbing down into the tail with heavy gravity dust activating as it impaled it. Continuing his own momentum, he would land on the ground "behind" the tail; relative to his start point. The beast immediately stopped its drift and tried to pull away, but was failing as Virtue held for the time being. 'Now is my chance,' he thought to himself as he would focus his efforts on the beast's tail. He would stab into the tail, if able, with Heir; the wind dust activating once inside. He would try to repeat it as much as was needed, but the general idea was simple; cut into it and have the wind blast the tail open from the inside to break it off (will use up to 3 wind dust "blasts" if necessary). 'If you can be modified once, lets see how you'd like being modified ever further,' he thought to himself determinedly. He doubted the Grimm would let him do this without interruption, so he was working in haste to try and stab deep, activate the dust, then pull Heir out to stab it back in to widen and cut the tail from the inside out. Should the Grimm turn to go for him, or try to crash into him with its body, he would actively try to use its own tail as a barrier for it. Once done, or if that were impossible, he would try to use his acrobatics to get onto the Grimm's back. "You truly are more pet than Grimm; if this is the Grimm that threatens to be unleashed we have little to fear," he would say coldly and hopefully aggravatingly to the beast.

The Beast was unfortunately stuck still as it was trying to lift its tail, even more, trying to focus as its back was to the man who caused it to get stuck. The deep violet was outlining its tail as it was trying to move while the pincers flailed about in anger. Soon, it felt more pain as Garret began to stab the ever-loving hell out of its tail, blasting its inside with wind as it took severe damage. The beast soon hunkered down, three stabs and three blasts of wind almost breaking the tail's stinger before hunkering down. Its hind legs took root and it lifted with all its strength, breaking the gravity dust for the moment as it was using all its primary focus to bring the tail up. If Garret remained on the tail it would launch him high into the air, by approximately 15m in order to try and save its tail.

Garret had an internal grin at how his plan was working, even if externally all that showed was his focus to his task at hand. While he had yet to sever the beast's tail, he had expended all the wind dust charges of Heir into it and had greatly damaged it. 'I just need a little more time to finish this,' he thought to himself. Virtue had been holding well so far; despite the beasts efforts he could see the heavy gravity dust was holding the tail down for the time being. Then there was a shift with the beast; it's wild struggling pausing. Garret had little time to process what was occurring with the beast till it was almost too late. He had just barely seen it hunker down, finding it strange for a Grimm to do so in the heat of battle and with pain being inflicted, before it would suddenly lift up with one powerful effort; strong enough to dislodge Virtue from the ground but not its tail. And it's tail went up. Not prepared for it, Garret would get launched up into the air with little chance to react; caught off guard as an expression of shock would cross his face. He would find himself sent up 15 meters before gravity would take hold of him again as he began to descend; gripping onto Heir tightly and flailing on the way up before having arms spread as he was descending to the ground or the beast. 'You're smarter than I gave you credit for, Beast,' he thought to himself with a frown of annoyance. Annoyance not so much at it but for becoming caught off guard and how to proceed.

As he descended, he saw the beast had no plans to give him a clear landing. It seemed prepared and ready to launch an attack of its own. Eyes narrowing in determination, Garret would change his falling stance; from arms and legs spread out to more streamlined as he gripped Heir with both hands. Going to meet its attack/pincer grab with a plunging attack with Heir. The landing would hurt like hell either way, but if he was going to get attacked he damn well was going to attempt to do damage to the beast in the process. This was if he could get a direct strike though; if not he'd be just as vulnerable, and with the speed/air pressure he was falling at...it would be hard to launch any other kind of attack. He may need to just use Heir to block in that case, and hold on tight so he wasn't disarmed.

Princess Puncture's tail was practically neutered without having been severed as after launching him up, the tail flopped back down as the Death Stalker's many eyes looked up. It primed its pincers for him on the way down, one ready to stab, the other ready to grab Garret to slam him down. It lunged up at him with the left pincer first, it was stuck where it was unfortunately for at least a bit longer. But as it got close with its sharpened pincer, Garret's heir was quick to defend him just in the nick of time as he was only 10 ft off the ground. But as it stopped his momentum, the attack would knock him away towards the center of the 90x90 arena as it screeched at him. It began to thrash around to try and get free just to chase him, but for now, after the attack, it was stuck in its spot with his Virtue in its tail.

Garret's plan had worked, in part at least; while not able to deliver the critical blow he was hoping, he had managed to deflect the beasts attack. Its pincer would strike his spear, and its power easily surpassed his momentum as he went from a moment frozen in air to being sent away. Specifically, he was knocked away towards the center of the ring yet again. As he would come down, his right hand would go out first with Heir still clutched in it. Red aura would flash as his hand/Heir touched ground first and he pushed off and up in a flip to land in a crouch, but on his feet and a further five feet away. Panting lightly at the exertion of this match as he stared towards the currently immobile 'princess' as was the beasts title. 'It would be so much simpler if I were allowed to slay it,' he thought to himself as he went to an upright position and began to calmly walk towards it. He would take out a pale blue dust shard, reluctant to use it, but he felt it necessary for his plan as he loaded it into Heir. A chill blue cold would emanate from the the spearhead of Heir now. 'Time is passing too swiftly; I need to act on my plan now,' he thought as his calm walk turned into a small charge towards the beast. As he neared it, he would do a new maneuver the beast had yet to see. He would use Heir to attempt a pole-vault over the beast's claw and maw and onto its back; perhaps, if fortunate, even using the spear head of Heir to slash it's "eyes" or whatever passed for them on it. He knew not how good its sight was; if it were the animal, it would not have great eye-sight regardless. Should all go well, he would run across it's back swiftly and pull Virtue free from it's tail; the heavy gravity dust effect should be over by now. As he did so, he would jump off the Grimm and run towards the edge of the arena. He had inflicted plenty of pain to it and crippled one of it's weapons; he hoped it was enough to cloud the creature's reasoning. As he neared the border, he would slash Heir across the ground behind him; leaving thin coatings of ice on the ground before he would abruptly stop and turn to face the beast. A small area of ice coating the ground in front of him. "Come Princess; your Master isn't here to carry you around anymore," he would taunt the beast and hold firm at the edge of the ring. His plan was simple; have the creature charge him, hopefully slip with the ice, and have its momentum knock it out of the ring. With both spears in hand, he was prepared to fight if necessary still; or if it tried to pounce him he was also prepared to use them to help push it so its momentum could send it out of the ring. His main plan though, should it go well, was to dodge either above or to the side of it depending how it acted once it seemed like it lost balance and was going to head out of the ring.

Princess Puncture continued to struggle from its stuck position, trying to move towards Garret as slowly the gravity was beginning to fade on the damaged tail. The many eyes all focused on Garret as it watched the being it just smacked away land so easily on his feet as he began to walk. Slowly, with more strength than needed, it started to crawl towards Garret, the pincers at the ready as it was dragging the damaged tail at an extremely slow rate. Those in the audience could see the Grimm's blood streaking the stone floor as it seemed to come to the climax soon enough. As it crawled to Garret, pincers at the ready, it lunged when he was close enough, narrowly missing his Heir as he pole-vaulted over the claws and its head and landed on its back. It couldn't lift the tail again like last time for the moment. But his slash missed its mark on its eyes as it lowered the body in seeing the attack coming. It screeched upon feeling pain when the spear lodged in the tail was pulled free after feeling his dirty feet upon its back. It began to slowly turn around, menace in its eyes as he ran to the edge of the arena, facing the audience. The creature was growling as once the gravity wore off, it indeed charged. Unaware of the ice ahead, Princess puncture's tail was finally free of gravity as it charged full force, thankfully the audience had a good 100ft of the distance between the edge of the arena and the audience border stands that were lined with armed men.

Princess Puncture screeched as it swiped at him but then the needle-like legs of it's feet were quickly swept up, causing the creature to slip and lose its balance. The charge still continued even as the creature attempted to regain balance and slowly it began to skid towards the edge of the arena. Garret easily dodged as the creature's unfortunate hubris and anger caused it to slip out and onto the ground by half of its body.

The battle had been intense, words could not describe how entranced Lilli had been during the entire match that she had forgotten to commentate till four of the eight needle-like legs of the Grimm touched outside of the Ring. She shook her head, gripping her mic as she stood up on the Drone swing. "RING OUT! The winner of this match by shear force of luck and a WHOLE LOT OF SKILL! The man of many thrustings and killings of Grimm and Huntsman, GARRET REVELEY!!!" She shouted his name while the Drone itself began to move down towards the man as he landed. Armed guards and a cage were quickly prepared as the Princess was getting Frantic and pissed off. It was swinging it's pincers at the men who were quick to all aim lightning dust at it. They each fired and quickly immobilized the beast it was screeched in pain before it was rammed into a Capture cage by a vehicle. Once inside, a few Drones moved and began to lift the cage up and onto a vehicle before driving away.

Lilli grinned as she moved close and smiled at Garret from above. "Sir, you managed to beat the Boss's favorite pet, how do you feel?" She asked of him while turning up the mic for him to speak to the audience, and to announce what he wanted to the boss of the Tournament. Once he did so, more guards would arrive to escort him back to the Waiting room.

The Grimm stood no chance against him; falling into his trap perfectly as it slipped right out of the arena. Only half of it, but enough to count as out and not feel like a cheap victory to Garret at the very least. His last minute escape had worked as well; it allowed him to make off unscathed, in that final attack, and to be able to see the fruit of his planning. He would smirk to the Grimm as he heard the announcing of it as well. He was almost insulted when she said sheer luck till she mentioned how much skill was part of it as well to pull off his victory. The man of many thrustings was not a title he desired to have; and he was curious what made her add killing of huntsman to it. The Grimm part was fine, but the rest could've been....more accurate and phrased better in his mind. He would watch as armed guards and a cage appeared for the wounded Grimm; understandably wanting to fight it but being tazed by lightning dust in the process to weaken it and 'encourage' it in it seemed. 'Why they don't just kill it and put it out of its miserable existence I shall never understand,' he thought quietly to himself as he watched it get placed in the cage before being carried off. That was when he noticed the drone and the hostess come down to just above his level with mic in hand; asking him how he felt after that match. He would look up to her with a calm expression to his face. "Disappointed. If that was his favorite, then the rest of his 'pets' stand little chance. I am surprised he fears for the well being of his Grimm so much that I was not allowed to kill it; for someone who threatens to unleash Grimm on the city he doesn't seem willing to risk much," he would say in a challenging and antagonistic tone of voice and finish there. He felt no more words would need to be said on the matter; his point was made. The man seemed hesitant for bloodshed; hardly something you'd imagine of a villain who was threatening to unleash Grimm on Vale. Garret would allow himself to be escorted by the guards to the waiting room; sheathing both spears on his back as he walked calmly to it.
