Wight was a silly little fellow and he came often to the woods to play. He did not have a set schedule to his days. He followed paths randomly through the forest because he did not like patterns and such. This rose-marking feline did as he wished and followed a butterfly from flower to flower. Then as it took off to find another bunch, Wight ran right after, pouncing at it (and missing) the whole way. Then he tripped over a low-lying log and sprawled right in front of Hikaru. He looked for the butterfly but did not see it. "Hello. I don't suppose you've seen a little white butterfly come through here, have you? I really must pounce on it."

"I'm Wightrose," he replied cheerily. Then as he tried to take hold of the butterfly ever so gently he realized she was an elder. He froze in place, and the butterfly got free. Drat. Well he was not sure how to address an elder, so he bobbed his head and said, "Very nice to meet you, Miss Hikaru." He sat down. She wanted to get to know him? How strange. He was used to spending his days alone and wild. "There is not much to me, I'm afraid. I wander through life and chase butterflies at random."

Wight giggled. "Do you want me to chase you? You do kind of look like a butterfly. I like your wings."

"A butterfly view?" His question was answered a moment later when she pulled him close and took off. He had never experienced anything like it. It was all over too soon, when they landed among the flowers. He belted out a childish laugh and exclaimed. "I love your wings!"

His eyes bugged out. He was not expecting such a great height. He wasn't expecting anything, really, but it was unbelievable. He had never known that they could look so small from a great distance. It was a learning experience. But as wonderful as this was, he was afraid too. "Can we go down lower, please?"

Wight put his paws up on the rim and peeked over the edge of the nest. He could understand this kind of view. Things in the tree tops were small but not too small. So sitting up in this nest wasn't so bad. "I like it here." He turned back to Hikaru. "You want to be my butterfly? You want me to chase you?" he laughed merrily

Wight liked the feel of her tails around him. He could get used to this and fall asleep if he wasn't careful. "A mate? No... It is always just me. You want to be my mate?" He had to think about it. He was used to being alone, but he had not been lonely. Now that he had met Hikaru he could imagine loneliness. He did not want to feel it. "I would like that." He did not know what he should do about it though. "What next?"
