The one thing that annoyed Parsifal about this whole senshi thing, once he had accepted it as being real, was that he couldn't stay high on mushrooms while powered up. Sometimes it didn't matter, like when something really weird went on around him, but most of the time it was pretty mundane. Patrolling was the really boring part -- he rarely ran into anyone or anything of interest. Yeah, it was fun that he could bounce over rooftops and jump really high, and sometimes that kept him amused. But not often enough. He wondered what it would be like to power up and stay high. That would be some really trippy s**t! Think of what the city would look like from a rooftop while peaking… it would be a rainbow-haloed wonderland of color! He would just sit on a rooftop all night and play with the prismatics until he came down, in both senses of the term. That would be so much fun! Deciding he would have to make his own fun, Parsifal danced on the edge of the roof he was on, humming tunelessly to himself. His balance fumbled, and rather than fall on accident, he swan-dived to the street below, flipping just in time to land on his feet. He paused just long enough to make sure he hadn't re-injured himself in any way, then he laughed again and continued his tuneless dancing, hopping on the occasional parked car on the empty street.

Sylvite wasn't necessarily looking for a basic senshi. What she was looking for was someone who could tell her about Cybele, or this Princess, and that meant someone who didn't have like, a fifty percent chance of being brand new to all of this. After asking around a little bit more in Negaspace, she'd found that Cybele was definitely unaccounted for and also probably emotionally compromised, maybe even a treason risk. A treason risk. After Sylvite had spared her life, and spent over a hundred dollars buying snacks for her, and everything else that had happened, Cybele was just going to go up and decide her old friends were cooler or something? Yeah, no. That wasn't going to happen, not if Sylvite had anything to say about it. Although apparently she wasn't going to be saying much about it right now, since the basic aura was the only one she could find. She hesitated, thinking about just moving on, but it wasn't like she could abandon her regular duties just because something else had come up. Basic senshi were good to talk to. Sometimes you could get ideas in their heads before they talked to the wrong people. She followed the aura, and when she caught sight of a senshi landing an awesome flip, she was immediately glad she had. "Oooh, that was a good one," she said, jogging a few steps to catch up to him while she looked over his stripey outfit. "Also, I like your little bell hat. Also, hi!"

Startled, Parsifal felt a strange feeling up the nape of his neck as he turned to look at the approaching… officer? She was clearly (maybe) a Negaverse person like that guy was the other night, but she looked different. Acted differently too, much more friendly. And her hair was pink, like his! Her entire uniform was cute, with a lot of pink trim on it. The pink on his uniform, he guessed it was, was more purple -- purpink? But that was another thing they had in common. He had to talk to her before he did his magic thing. "Hi!" he chirped with a grin. "Thanks! Doing the flip at the end was fun. I'm lucky I guess that I didn't hurt myself, though maybe that comes with the senshi thing. I'm kinda new at this," he laughed. "Yeah, so anyway, hi! Love your hair!" Parsifal pulled down his hood and shook his head, shaggy pink hair flying and the bells on his hood jingling merrily. "See? Mine's pink too!"

This senshi didn't seem aggressive right off the bat, or even nervous or anything, and that was always a good sign. It didn't always take a long time for people to get all caught up in Order's propaganda and end up convinced that the Negaverse was bad, and that Generals were scary. This guy, by his own admittance, was super new, and that was a good thing. Sylvite spent a good five seconds just admiring his outfit. The stripes were fun. The bright colors would pop better against black, but Sylvite knew better than to bring that up quite yet. "Yeah! One of the perks of magic is super good reflexes," she said instead, still grinning. "It's great for parkour and stuff." Sylvite backed up a few steps and did a backflip to demonstrate, landing perfectly on her feet and doing a little bow afterwards. Maybe it wasn't the best example, since she could do a backflip anyway, but the magic did help. Only then did she actually notice his hair. Her eyes sparkled. "Woah, we match! Pretty much exactly! That's what my hair looks like if I don't curl it." She squinted at him, chewing on the insides of her cheek for a second. "Okay, maybe mine's a little longer, but we're basically twins."

"Pretty much, yeah! Twins!" Parsifal replied gleefully. "Except your uniform is a lot fancier than mine. You must be a higher ranking Negaverse agent… maybe even a General! Cause I imagine Generals get all the fanciest stuff." The realization hit him then: if the pink-haired Negaverse agent was a General, and he was just a freshly-minted Senshi… then he was potentially in a LOT of trouble. But she seemed so nice! Cute and friendly and not scary at all. Parsifal recalled the other Nega he'd encountered, that grumpy guy with the dagger, and wondered what kind of weapon this one carried, likely being a General and all. Not that it really mattered, because he was in way over his head, with no backup from his Court or from other, more experienced Senshis. He decided to keep things light, just to try to get away without getting hurt. "That reflex thing was pretty cool! Doing backflips and stuff -- I never expected I could do anything like that! Could you maybe show me how you did that?" He really did want to know -- so he could do it intentionally and maybe dodge whatever attack she might throw at him. stari_maga sorry this is so late! /sob sob

Sylvite nodded, the grin never leaving her face. "I'm a General, yeah," she said, gathering her skirt-cape thing in her hands to swish it a little bit and show off the sparkly pink lining better. "It's pretty fun." She was proud of that cape. She'd earned it. This guy must have known at least a little bit about the Negaverse, or the war, or something, if he knew what the ranks were called and that her fancy clothes made her stronger. Still, he wasn't acting that suspicious, or scared, or anything. "General Sylvite," she added, giving a little wave where she wiggled her fingers, because this was a proper introduction now. "What's your name, mister twin?" She wasn't here to stab such a fun senshi, but she was here to do her job and figure out who he was. Before she was done talking, she was already doing another flip, and she threw in a back handspring afterwards this time, although she didn't actually walk the senshi through any of it, not yet. She needed her answers, first.

"Sailor Parsifal," replied Parsifal, "of the Arthurian Court." Sketching a deep bow, he turned it into a series of back handsprings, which served two purposes: one, it was fun, and two, it got him a bit further away from General Sylvite. What did she want with him? Why, probably the same thing they all wanted, according to his fellow Arthurians. To kill all Senshi and steal their starseeds for lunch. Gulping at that, Parsifal kept grinning back at Sylvite. He didn't dare let on that he was as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. She was fun-seeming -- if only she wasn't a General, he would have a grand time with her. But she was a General, and that made her extremely dangerous. He had to continue to play dumb and naive. "Wanna see what else I can do?" Before she could answer, he ticked off on his fingers and recited, "Eeny Meeny Miney MO!" Immediately three copies of him shimmered off of him; and immediately after that all the Parsifals ran hither and thither around in a confusing mob, finally stopping in front of her. "Now," they all said at once, "which one is the real Parsifal?"

Sylvite gasped when he did his own set of handsprings, and then she clapped her hands, her grin getting big again. "See, you can do it too!" she said. Yeah, she really liked this guy. Even half the people in the Negaverse wouldn't do acrobatics with her. Plus, what he was saying was even more interesting. "Arthurian court?" she asked, not having to fake any curiosity of her own. That definitely wasn't something she'd heard about before. "I thought you guys were the White Moon Court or something." If they'd rebranded, that probably meant something, or if there were, like, littler courts around, that was worth knowing about too. She was about to ask about his magic, too, but it turned out she didn't even have to do that. He was saying some rhyme, and then suddenly there were four of him. Four. She wondered how long they were gonna stick around, because one of him was already kinda something. As they ran around in circles, Sylvite giggled, her eyes darting from one brightly colored senshi to another until her head spun. "Woah," she said, blinking. "That's awesome. Uh-" She whirled around, pointing at the one slightly to her right at the moment. "You?" tatterpixie Tonight you get to see both sides of Sylvite haha

The four Parsifals laughed in unison, each doubling over in a different exaggerated way before straightening. "Nope!" they replied, and the Parsifal that Sylvite had selected placed his hands on his face, squeaked "Oh no!" and popped in a shower of glittering dust. Parsifal (the real one) cringed mentally. He didn't realize his clones would do THAT if they were verbally called out as well as physically hit. The weakness of his magic was now revealed to the pink-haired General. But he couldn't let it show that he was upset by it. The best he could do, he decided, was keep playing the game and keep backing away from her until he could make an escape. "Try again!" the remaining three Senshi chirped merrily, and they began running in a scramble again, the real Parsifal edging the rumpus just a bit further away from Sylvite. They eventually stopped in a row in front of her. "Guess right and I'll tell you about the Arthurians!" they all said. It maybe wasn't the best idea, telling a Negaverse General what the court was, but he couldn't think of any other way to keep her engaged and distracted from doing harm to him. stari_maga sorry about the lateness! heart

Okay, this was harder than it looked. Getting it right was important, too. Maybe it wasn't some kind of life or death situation, but Sylvite did want to know about his Court thingy. So, when they all lined up, she gave each one a quick once over. It didn't really help. None of them were obviously, like, ghosts, or magic, or something. There was probably some quirk that she was missing that she could've figured out if she'd known Parsifal a little bit better, but since she'd met him less than five minutes ago, that wasn't doing her any good. Basically, that meant she was back to guessing. "You?" she asked the middle one, then added quickly, "But you gotta tell me about the Arthurians! You got me all curious, it sounds awesome!" If she'd ended up guessing wrong, she figured she'd just have to find some other way to be persuasive about it.

"Aw man," the three Parsifals groaned in unison. "You guessed right! Game over." The two Senshi on the ends waved goodbye to Sylvite and popped into clouds of glitter drifting toward the ground. That left only the real Parsifal standing in the clearing. "Okay," he shrugged with a smile. "A promise is a promise." He thought for a moment – how much should he tell her about the Court? There was no way he was going to spill all the beans; he didn't want to give the impression that they were something special, some kind of super-team of Senshi. That could alert the Negaverse in general to hunt down other Courts. "So, the Arthurian Court! We're really just a collection of Senshi who have names from the Arthurian legends. You know, Parsifal," and he placed his hand on his chest, "Morgan le Fey, Tristan and Isolde, like that. Kind of a team. That's really it." He shrugged again. "Nothing really special other than that."

"Got you!" said Sylvite, unable to contain her giggling. It might have been total luck, but she still felt pretty proud of herself. Plus, she got to learn about Arthurians, and she bounced up and down on her toes while he explained it to her. "Oh, so like a mini team," she said. "That makes a lot of sense, actually." It was also something that Information officers like her were supposed to keep an eye on, so it was good that she'd gotten him to tell her. Sylvite knew as well as anyone that when Order managed to get a little bit more organized, stuff got bad. She didn't wanna hold the being in a team thing against this guy, though. He seemed really sweet, and she hoped she'd given him a decent first impression of the Negaverse. "Okay, so I should probably get home soon," she said, except by home she meant somewhere she could update t he database, "But it was really nice to meet you, Parsifal! I liked your little game!"

"Yeah, exactly like a mini team!" Parsifal nodded, grinning. He was pleased he'd been able to explain things without giving too much away. Like he hadn't used the real names of his fellow Arthurians in his explanation – he sure didn't want the Negaverse hunting them down because they knew about them. It was a shame Sylvite was a General. She was fun and friendly, she had pink hair just like him, and he really liked her! And she seemed to like him too, because she hadn't tried to kill him or take his starseed. Bonus! "It was nice to meet you too, Sylvite!" he chirped, bowing dramatically from the waist. "I had fun playing with you! Hah, I sound like a little kid, but you know what I mean!" Maybe the Negaverse wasn't all that bad, or maybe it was just that some of its members weren't. Tentatively he stepped forward and held out his hand. "Maybe we'll run into each other again some day!" stari_maga you wanna wrap with one more post?

"Hey, I think it's okay to sound like a little kid sometimes if you're having fun," said Sylvite. She'd never stopped herself from giggling, or from wearing pinks and sparkles and cheap plastic accessories just 'cause she'd hit a certain age. She liked other people who had the same ideas about that kind of stuff, and this guy seemed to fit that category. "See you around, Parsifal!" she said. Then she sprinted off, in the other direction.
