Summer Festivals Solo or RP Format Counts as 5 RP growth Points Solo word minimum is 750, RP post minimum is 7Summer was drawing closer and closer and the different villages around Tendaji were beginning to plan their summer festivals. It was a tradition in Tendaji - to celebrate the Gods every year in the summer when spirits were high and food was at its most abundant. All the races had their own gods to celebrate, whatever those might have been, and every person had their own feelings one way or the other. [ What did they mean to you? With the summer fast approaching, it must be somewhere (no matter how small) on everyone’s thoughts. And what are your thoughts on the other culture’s gods? ]

Sorin had a bright smile on his face as he sat on one of the carts of his father's caravan. They had finally arrived in Jauhar, just in time for a summer festival. He knew deep down he had a job to do, to monitor his sister, but the atmosphere had him relaxed and he even considered taking his sister around the settlement before the festival picked up.
Nodding, he jumped off the cart and looked around, his tall form looking over the travelers to see if he could find the bushy hair of his elder half-sister.

Nii had found a local to speak to about the upcoming festival and events that would be held. She wanted to know if there were any performances that she should pay extra attention to or if someone had a recommendation for food. So far she'd learned about an acrobatic troupe that would be performing later as well as a few food stalls that came with the highest ratings. Her bright green eyes lit up at the thought of watching a group perform. "Oh wow! That sounds lovely! I'll be sure to check that out!" She told the shifter man she'd managed to rope into conversation. She hadn't noticed her brother looking for her just yet as she wanted to ask a few more questions about places to buy gifts.

As Sorin moved through their group, he realized that Niiemh wasn't in the immediate area. Pausing, he lifted his hand to rub the back of his head. Oh goodness, if Merle was here he'd get an earful for losing track of his half sister.
"Well..." he mumbled with a good natured shrug, "Good think ma didn't come with us..."
Grinning again, he finally caught the deep ruby hair of Niiemh with a shifter man away from the group. Wandering over, he kept his smile across his freckled cheeks before sliding next to his sister and eyeing the man with a curious and casual gaze.
"Check what out, Niinii?" He asked slowly, his tone friendly as he nodded to the shifter in front of them.

When she heard the voice of her brother she turned her head to look at him, a fond affection easily seen in her eyes. "There will be an acrobatic troupe performing later." Her hand lifted to motion to the shifter she was talking to. "This man was just telling me about it. Also where the best food vendors are." The shifter smiled and nodded his head at the boy. "Performers usually start just after lunch rush." Niiemh grinned as she looped one arm with her brother's. "Can we watch them?" She might be the older sibling but she didn't want to make it difficult on her brother if he had things to do.

Sorin looked down at his sister and returned the smile easily. Niiemh was an easy girl to keep an eye on, and in his mind Sorin saw his role more as a protector than the overbearing shadow his other siblings called him after his mother gave him an order.
"Acrobatics? Looking to add a few new moves into your routine?" He asked slowly, before noting the time and the instructions from the shifter. He let his sister loop her small arm around his muscular one, leaning slightly to the side so it was easier for her.
"Sure, I don't think we're in any rush...how about food first?"
He nodded his head in thanks to the shifter, before looking back to his sister, "Well, you pick. I want to see the best food Jauhar has to offer."

Nii nodded her head at her brother. "Wouldn't it be neat if I could?" A well timed flip or split somewhere would really be nice. Of course it would have to fit with the music and dance she had going. The by stander that had been stopped for questions excused themselves leaving the leaflings to their discussion. At being asked about food first she grinned. "Alright, lets get the best brother a girl could ask for some good food!" She tugged at his arm to lead him toward one of the stalls she'd been told about. "This one over here has flamed meat on a stick but I guess the spices they use are mouth watering."

Sorin pictured his sister introducing a few more wild moods, before his mother's voice rang in his ear. Maybe it wouldn't be that neat after all...Sorin glanced down to Niiemh and kept those thoughts to himself...no use spoiling a nice afternoon after all. Beside, if the moves enhanced the dance, it probably would work itself out anyway.
He was tugged out of his thoughts as she tugged him along, missing the comment but smiling dumbly none-the-less, happy and content with the simple task to simply find something to eat. Beside, he was awfully hungry.
"I wont complain for some meat!" He said with a laugh as his stomach grumbled in agreement, and he grinned as he rubbed it, "Is that what you'd like?"

When she heard his stomach she paused for just a second to look at it before she looked up at Sorin's face and laughed. "When was the last time you ate, Silly?" Growing boys needed lots of food! Nii knew that much because she had a lot of brothers. "I'm not that hungry.." More like she worried about her weight. If she gained too much then their mother would complain and increase her training to get rid of it. "So I can share with you. Just a little. I think I'm too excited to eat too much anyways!" Despite the fact that she knew she was here to learn new dances she was looking forward to the experience of the culture.

He laughed a bit, shrugging in reply. Truly, he wasn't keeping track and maybe it had been quite a bit since he ate. At least ate anything significant.
As she responded, he looked down at her as well, narrowing his eyes a moment before nodding slowly, "You've got to eat...who knows when we'll have such delicious meals when we hit the road again!"
He'd find a way to make sure she enjoyed the food, if just for the experience.

Seeing that he narrowed his eyes at her only caused her to smile at him more. Nii knew that look. "I'll eat. I just don't want to waste." She reassured. The older of the Kavensei siblings pulled on Sorin's arm to drag him along a step or two. "Come on, what kind of food did you have in mind? I want to try something new. What about you?" She was hoping that if she could distract him enough with his own wants he wouldn't notice how little she ate.

"Don't worry, I'll eat anything you don't so we wont waste it at all!" He said with a smile, the answer simple. If she was afraid of wasting, they'd eat it together. Easy.
As she pulled him along he quickly followed, scratching his head a bit as he looked around to make sure no one got too close. Whereas his sister seemed to dance through the space, he lumbered along like an oaf. But at least he was having fun.
"Let's go with the flamed meat, you said the spices were of the gods? I'd like to try that."

As her brother followed along she seemed to light up even more, her smile showing all of her happiness. Niiemh didn't mind sharing food with her siblings. Since she had to watch her weight anyways it made the most sense. "Perfect." She all but chirped. It took less than a minute for her to find and walk towards a seller of their desired food. "Anything you want to see or do while we have the time?" Nii knew that her brother had been sent as a makeshift babysitter for her but she didn't want him to have a horrible time.

"Whatever you want." He said simply, as he always did, before stepping forward and pulling out his bag of coin to make the order. His eyes, always bigger than his stomach, resulted in him pointing at a few different meat types and some dips, before they moved away to wait for their order to arrive. Once it arrived, he grinned down toward his sister and handed her one of the sticks.
"Eat up, if we're going to wander around you'll need the energy. And no excuses about your figure, we'll move around enough to work it off. Just enjoy the show!"
Then, he took a big bite and smiled brightly, excited to have some fresh food for the first time in ages.

Niiemh let Sorin do the ordering. While she might be picky about how much she ate she was never really picky about what she ate. Mostly because she liked trying new things. So when their food arrived she took what she was given and giggled a bit at her brother. "I don't think we're going to do that much walking but sure." Mostly because she didn't want to wear Sorin out. As he bit into his food she took her first little nibble of her own food. It was good and worth it to her to try. Of course she wouldn't be done with hers as fast since her bites were smaller but she was content with what she had. They still had time to enjoy the rest of their food before the entertainment started up so she leaned slightly against Sorin in a silent thanks for the company and meal.
