xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Daphne was born the youngest of three kids, and the only girl. Her dad is a Nature Photographer who often travels for work, and her mom is an artist who specializes in clay. Daphne took after both parents, learning their skills. Her brothers were far more athletic, and tended only to care about their sports. It wasn't until she turned eleven that she realized why she was different than the boys. She was magical. How cool! Apparently she was set to go to a magic school called Hogwarts...
xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxx Starting school, Daphne was super excited to make friends. One girl, Dominik, started out a friend on the train, but they got sorted to different houses. Instead, Daphne got roomed with 3/4 a set of quadruplets. She hoped to make friends with them as well, but they turned out to be so mean to her. They teased her for her dress, hair, and everything else. Oftentimes, they'd even lock her out of their room to spend time with their brother. So, on those days, Daphne either spent time in the Hufflepuff Common Room with Dominik, or explored the castle.
The next year, they had a fancy school dance, and Daphne had sent a letter to her next-door neighbor to help with a dress. She was a designer by trade, and was quite happy to make Daphne a dress, which Daphne agreed to work over the summer to help pay for. It was the first time the Wellbelove Monsters didn't tease her. Mostly because apparently their mom worked with Mrs Davisson.
Over the years, Daphne got better at dealing with the quads, even though she often felt left out of things. Milan took control of the Daily Dragon, and gave everyone in their year a cool title... except for her. So she remained on the sidelines, just doing her best to be seen. Fifth year brought her the title of Prefect, as well as Vice Captain in quidditch. Even with the recognition, she still felt shunned. Oh well.
Sixth year was a whirlwind of chaos. Angie Zheng, best friend/boyfriend to some of the Wellbeloves passed away, leading to wild times in their dorm. Echo stopped focusing on studying to spend time with a boy and probably do drugs, Yari was so, so heartbroken that it made Daphne's heart ache as well, and Harlynn was more focused on avoiding everyone, other than when they'd order pizza to the dorm.
One day in December, Daphne hung back after class, running back to her room to put her bookbag away before her prefect meeting. Upon entry, she discovered Yari Wellbelove in a pool of blood, cuts at her wrists. Healing practice kicked in, and Daphne worked to seal together the jagged cuts, trying to put her roommate back together. Luckily, she succeeded. Unluckily, Yari was mad about the turn of events, cursing Daphne and threatening to haunt her. Daphne dragged her to the hospital wing, where one of the healers was able to help. Yari was sent to the actual hospital for further help, which just seemed to destroy the already fragile Wellbelove family.
Daphne did her best to stay out of the room all the time, but even Dominik was distracted with her penpal. Apparently she was applying to go to his school next year, so Daphne would be without her best friend. Hopefully things would go back to normal...
