As spring was setting in, it'd been raining a lot lately, trapping most Kitsu inside their homes for most of the day. This included Isiah, who had been gazing wistfully out the window of his bedroom while he tried to work on painting or sketching, too distracted by his overpowering need to get outside and find some better subjects for his art. It felt like that prayer would never be answered, until finally a day had come when the clouds opened and the sun finally shone through, bathing the world in its glow for what felt like the first time in weeks. As quickly as he could, he had packed his art bag up with supplies and was out the front door. From the back of the house, he heard it close as his housemate, Yu, left to tend the garden he probably missed very dearly.
Taking a deep breath, inhaling the sweet, clean air of living next to a forest, Isiah made for the deeper parts of the town, his destination one of the parks that was close to the house. He picked out a good bench, far enough away from the other Kitsu that he wasn't disturbed by them and pulled out one of his sketchbooks. Not that most would come up to him while he was deep in his work. He hadn't been living here for very long, but long enough he was known as a bit of a regular here. It was his favorite place to come and enjoy the fresh air. It was also the best for meeting Kitsu. A lot were surprised to find he was still here. Didn't most Tenku like to roam around and live a nomadic life? Not that he was aware. Both his parents were Tenku and they stayed in the same spot for at least all of his life. Never once did they seem like they had any intentions on leaving. They had a company to maintain and you couldn't do that if you were roaming the wide world. He had thought about it sometimes. Just leave and continue to explore the wide world now that he had a chance to do that. Now that he wasn't so tied down with his parent's expectations. But he liked staying in one place and putting down roots. Making friends he could count on when he needed them and vice versa.
Naw. He would stay here. Not even the angry baker could scare him away.
