Crocoite was standing on the roof to an old theatre downtown that had long since shut its doors. It did not look like it had been open in years, but the property was beautiful. It had very classic architecture, with a high marquee and strong pillars. It was made of stone and the windows, though broken, had decaying posters from forgotten productions. He was sure the inside was just was beautiful, with its seating and the stage.

There was probably a squatter situation to take care of, but he was more than capable of doing that on his own. And anyway, he needed the energy or starseeds for his quota.

Yes, this place would be a nice little base for him, away from his shop and his penthouse, which he wanted to keep a bit more private. He had been running some of his attacks out of his antique store, but was now worried it might be too easily traced back to him or avoided should a reputation leak out.

And anyway, what was working for the Negaverse but a performance? It was fitting in that regard, especially for him.

Attention sparking, he felt the familiar pulse of another Chaotic aura in the area. He was standing on the roof of the building with his cane in front of him, hand resting on the head of the crocodilian figure it portrayed. He picked it up and hopped off the roof, landing on the sidewalk in a style very similar to his brother's, though he had no idea of that.

"Is there someone here?"

Crocoite winced. Ah, youthful exuberance. He had none of that, as he had no joy in his heart, and was an old soul to boot. He found it very hard to be excited about anything, and certainly not so much so that he needed to raise the tone of his voice. The only time he shouted was when he was very, very angry.

Usually in a fight, if someone had the audacity to do him physical harm.

"I can't say I was looking for trouble, but I see it's found me," he watched the Lieutenant thoughtfully, not finding him immediately annoying and thus not repelled. It was fine, for now, for the two of them to talk. Chatting was, apparently, one of the best ways to make contacts and form strategic alliances. Who know?

Some might call that making friends, but Crocoite wouldn't.

"And you? Doing your patrols? Making your General proud, and all that?"

"I think I am just rapidly aging," Crocoite sighed, looking a little whimsical with the joke. Or was it not a joke? He was not the funniest guy in the world, after all, and his very serious demeanor made it difficult to find anything he said particularly tickling. Even so, he did not seem entirely put out, making his best effort.

He nodded his head thoughtfully, cracking what almost qualified as a grin, but just needed to curl up at the corners of his mouth a tiny bit more.

"I think you're right, there. My own General has been off, doing her own thing. Which was fine for me for a while. Less trouble, getting things in order and doing my own plans without her... guidance." He wrinkled his nose a bit, stopping just short of rolling his eyes. "There are some good hunting grounds around here. Seems to be a bit of an entertainment hub. Or what remains of one. Bars, mostly."
