Lapis Lazuli sighed as he walked down the street. He had not found anyone to drain tonight, and a part of him was glad for it. Lapis felt more disconnected from his duties as a lieutenant than ever and he had never been that devoted to his role to begin with. In the past few months he had even begun to distance himself from his general.
He was just about to give up and turn in for the night when an enormous aura flared onto the scene. An aura as terrifying overpowered as the general kings and queen who ran the Negaverse but with a distinctive order feel. He had only felt an aura like this once a long time ago. He wondered if it could possibly be the same knight.
He was curious and a terrified of the aura, however if it was the same knight he remembered him being reasonable and understanding and knowledgeable. The young man found himself moving towards the source of the aura. He wasn't entirely sure why but he wanted to speak to the older man again. He found himself at a local library. As he peaked up on the roof he saw the familiar large knight.
"Mr. Knight, I'm not sure if you remember me. We met a few years ago. I'm Lapis Lazuli." Lapis called out to the man. "Would you you mind if we talked for a bit." He asked hoping he wasn't intruding.

Nights for Camelot never really felt boring. No matter how many times he powered up and looked out over the same city, it always somehow felt like a fresh start. Maybe he was just being nostalgic, soppy about a city he had spent so long protecting already, but tonight there seemed to be something in the air. A wind, a gentle hint. Something was coming. If it was good or bad, he had no idea, but tonight, the air was alive. It was calling to him. He felt the pull of a Chaos energy signal nearby, glancing down toward the road but not immediately spotting anyone in the darkness. He had actually been in the library, working on some things a bit later than normal, and his eyes were still adjusting to the darkness of the evening. A voice called up to him, and he smiled warmly, wondering if this had something to do with the energy in the air. Either way, he was duty bound to check it out. Leaping almost gracefully, or at least with a long earned practiced precision, Camelot landed on the sidewalk with a heavy clang of armor, but otherwise no sign of injury or trouble. He straightened up, looking at the young Negaverse soldier and nodding his head in a small bow. "Of course. I think I remember speaking with you before. What can I do for you?"

"Um its just. The last time we spoke you told me there was another option to being in the negaverse. What did you mean by there's a knight inside of me." He was nervous next to such a powerful being as this knight but he had know.
"You said that there was an officer you knew who was in trouble, what happened to him? Did he also have a knight inside of him?" He had to know.

Camelot looked surprised by the question, thinking back. Just which soldier had he been talking about? Probably Merlinite, if he knew himself, but it was actually hard to remember. He had helped quite a few, by this point in his career, which would always be his biggest points of pride. "Well. Chaos and Order are like two sides of the same coin," he said, looking thoughtful. "On one side, is a Negaverse soldier. If a knight is corrupted, that is what they become. On the other side, is a knight. If a Negaverse soldier purifies, the knight sleeping inside them is awakened." He smiled softly, standing a bit taller as he thought about Merlinite's path. "That officer I helped did end up purifying, and is now a knight of Earth, like me. I can let you meet him, if you'd like." He grew more serious, watching the younger soldier for a moment before carefully continuing. "Are you in danger? Do you need my help? Or are you just curious about what becomes of those that purify?"

Lapis listen thoughtfully to the older man. He felt like a traitor, lessening to this, he knew he shouldn't even be considering it. But he needed to have this option, needed to that he could have a way out. He wondered if he would feel less like an outcast with the knights. All the knights he had met, which admittedly weren't many had been somewhat kind. At least he wouldn't have this feeling in the pit of his stomach that what he was doing, what he was a part of was wrong.
So the officer had become a knight of the Earth. "Yes I'd like that very much, if he wouldn't mind." He was actually rather excited at the prospect, after all he didn't know anyone who had purified, maybe this would help him understand his own feelings.
He was a bit taken aback by the knight's questions. "Um yes...no...I don't know. It's just my general....He was, well I don't know if kind is the right word but he was always reasonable and he wasn't cruel but recently he went missing for a time and when he came back he was...different. Now he's violent and completely unreasonable, I don't understand what happened and it scare me. I used to just want to do the bare minimum, keep my head down and try not to hurt anybody or get hurt myself. But I don't know that I can keep doing that anymore." He answered honestly, he felt he could trust this knight after all he had helped that other officer maybe he could help Lapis.

"I'm sure he wouldn't. He's usually not too far away from my own patrol areas, so I'll send him a message. See if he wants to swing by." Camelot bowed his head and did just that quickly enough, sending Carlisle a question to see if he was near the library or not. If not, they could always arrange another time to meet. And it might be less overwhelming for the officer. Camelot could see the younger man was anxious and looked very confused. It always made him wonder what they go through, on their journey to start questioning their loyalty to the Negaverse. If he got the chance, he listened to their stories, but he could only do so much until they were willing to trust him. He was not the sort to push or try to take advantage of doubt. If someone chose to purify, he wanted them to be sure. "I see," Camelot said gently, looking sad. "You shouldn't have to feel afraid. Being part of Chaos does mean hurting people, but I understand how it can get to be too much, even when doing your best not to cause harm. There are lines you're forced to draw, and cross, that shouldn't be asked of you. If you do ever feel like you need a safe place to hide, even if its just for a little while, you can always come here. Find me. And if you want a more permanent way to escape, I can help you purify, as well. But it's your choice, and you should be sure before you make it." He had seen what happened when someone thought they were sure, but ended up returning to old ways. And that broke his heart the most.

Lapis wondered if the Officer turned knight would really come. Would he want to answer his questions. Lapis would understand if he didn't but he hoped the older Earth knight was right.
"Thank you sir. Hmm" He just realized something. "Um I don't actually know your name Mr. Knight or your friend's. If you don't mind me asking." He wasn't sure if that was taboo or not for a knight to tall an officer his name.
"What does purrifying involve? What happens after it's done?" He had many questions about the mechanics of this process. He wasn't sure it was a line he wanted to cross yet but he did want to know what he had to do for it if he did decide to do it.

"Oh, I am so sorry! Usually I try to introduce myself before I dive into long winded explanations of things," Camelot laughed at his own expense, even blushing a bit at being so caught out. He did his best to be polite, after all: it was a knight's duty to be chivalrous. Clearing his throat, he bowed his head slightly. "My name is Camelot, Royal Knight of Earth. My friend is Carlisle, a Knight of Earth. Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner." He considered the question, wondering where to start. "Well, it's a lot like awakening to the Negaverse, in its way. Instead of putting Chaos into your starseed, however, I would cleanse it away with my power. That allows the knight inside you to awaken, and you are introduced to your new self. After that, you have a new glamor protecting you, so your identity is your own. So if you were afraid of someone in the Negaverse coming after you, they would have a difficult time of it. I know it can sound like a lot all at once."

"Wow a royal knight, I thought your aura felt impressive. So you're like the general king of knights or at least the knights of the Earth?" It all sounded very impressive. Lapis wondered if all the planets had royal knights. "And Camelot like the English king's castle...what was his name? Arthur, right?"
"That sounds pretty amazing. When I was awoken as a lieutenant I didn't have much of a choice I saw something I shouldn't have so my general brought me into the fold. Its nice to know I still have a choice about where to go from here." He wondered what his other self would be like would he be an Earth knight like this man, or maybe a Saturn knight like the other knight he had met, or maybe he'd be something else all together.
"Thank you Camelot you've given me alot to think about." He said bowing respectfully to the royal knight.
