Fears are meant to be overcome, but often are hard to do so. What are the fears that plague your character at night? How long have they dealt with these fears, and where did they originate from? How do they deal with their fears, and how does it impact their life and relationships? And will they ever work to overcome it?

[ Spend this World Event working through the fears of your character, either on their own or with some moral support of a friend ]

Hargitt wasn't one for public socialization. He preferred to do his drinking in the comfort of his own camp, where he could be alone with his thoughts and away from prying eyes. That being said when he'd taken on yet another job in the little Sauti village and was offered a night of free drinks at the local pub who was he to say no? Especially since it came with as much free food and a warm room just upstairs. It wasn't the gold he'd been promised, but the prospect of having a full stomach and a warm bed wasn't one he was ready to turn down.

So, the burly huntsman had given in and found himself relaxing in the back of the pub. He was nursing his third - maybe fourth? - stein at that point and was feeling a good, healthy buzz. Just enough to dull the senses but not enough to make him stupid, which is where he liked to be.

Rajani, by happy coincidence, was in the same pub and enjoying drinks of her own. She was sticking around for another job she'd heard about and couldn't meet the client until the next day. With nothing else to do she decided to let loose just a little. When she noticed Hargitt she grabbed her drink and walked over to join him. "Hey, how's the knees? Didn't hurt you too badly did I?" She was teasing him as she spoke loudly for others to hear but at the same time she was curious to know if she actually had hurt him. "My temper does get away from me sometimes and I'm sorry if I did hurt you."

Since she wasn't a villain she didn't want someone to think she just went around bashing people with her hammer. "Care if I join you? Have a few drinks?" Her plan was to have only two more before she retired to make sure she didn't do anything stupid.

Hargitt quirked his brow over the lip of his stein and lowered the glass with a slow, pensive look. After a moment he slipped a small smile and reached up to tap his forehead, "This hurts worse; pretty sure you cracked it." He didn't care if others heard or if they thought less of him for having a pretty little girl hurt him. He wasn't that worried about his reputation and honestly, if they'd spent more than a few moments with her then they would know he came off lucky. "Honestly, don't worry about it. Nothing a little ice couldn't cure."

Motioning to the empty space across from him, Hargitt took up his stein again, "If you're hungry you can order something on my tab. I've got it in good with the owner right now and I'm pretty sure you can get just about anything you want so long as you say you're with me." He said it casually enough, but he was a little worried that he would be taking advantage of the bar keeps kindness. Then again, he really hadn't eaten much and the job had been big so surely he could afford to spare some more? Especially since he wasn't being paid in the traditional sense.

She blinked a few times before she chuckled. "Pfft!" With the go head to sit with the tall man she did so. "That one was on you, I didn't think you'd headbutt me." It was her turn to reach up and touch user own forehead. She had a small knot there and it was sore but nothing too bad. "Was that full force or did you hold back some?" Something told her he'd held back.

The offer for food made her wave one hand at him to decline. "Thanks but I've already eaten. Wouldn't mind another drink though, if you're being nice." Raja finished off the one she had and set the glass down. Just from looking it was obvious she wasn't drinking the same thing he was. "Play a game with me?" She held up a deck of cards and grinned.

Hargitt let out a very uncharacteristic chuckle. Evidently the drink was starting to get to him more than he'd originally thought. "Hit me again with that hammer and find out." Despite his size it wasn't in him to brawl so the headbutt had been purely a gut instinct; one he wasn't looking to repeat! The migraine he'd given himself was worse than the twinge in his knee when he walked on it.

He held up his hand and caught the attention of a server. "Sure. What do you play?" Hargitt had just set his stein down, catching a glance at her own glass before a member of staff was at their table. He'd been expecting the same older woman who'd given him his meal not the younger man who'd shown up.

"Hey there! My Ma went home for the night so I'll be taking care of you." He didn't keep his attention on Hargitt for long before shifting to Rajani. The server placed his palm on the table and leaned over a bit, just to make sure she had his attention. "What can I get you, sweetheart?"

His chuckle made her suspicious. "Rain check on that, I don't think my head could take it." Rajani didn't plan on hitting the guy again unless he did something bad. His agreeance to play a game made her smile and start to shuffle the deck. "Hm... I can play anything. Got a favorite? And what would you like to bet?" It was no fun if there was no bet.

She turned her head to look at the server and leaned toward Hargitt to get away from them. Her smile stayed in place though. "Some of the peach wine is fine." She looked at Hargitt. "Unless you wanted to do shot of something." Since it was his tab she figured she'd ask.

"I used to play Crazy Eights a lot back at home..." Hargitt found himself watching the way the server didn't seem to take a hint. Even as Rajani moved away he naturally leaned closer; not so far as to be laying on the table, but far more than he should. "Another glass of the porter, and shots sound good." Instead of waiting for the servers attention, Hargitt leaned across the table, took the man's chip in his hand and turned it around so that their noses were a hair's breath away from touching.

"Did you get all that or were you too busy staring at her breasts?"

The server backed away like he'd been burned. "I-I-I got it. Be back in a bit."

Hargitt leaned back in his seat with a solid 'thud'. "You okay?"

"I can play... That.." She watched as Hargitt leaned across the table and grabbed the server. She had been doing what she could to ignore them and hope they got thw hint. A brow was raised but when he mentioned what the man might have been staring at she looked down at her cleavage before a he put a hand over it and stared to the side.

When he sat back down and asked if she was okay she nodded her head and went back to shuffling the cards. "Yeah, I just have a small fear of being touched. No big deal." Fighting didn't count in her book because she was strong enough to fight back. But if someone got too close or looked like they might do something she wasn't prepared for it bothered her. "Mostly men scare me, hence my big hammer." As she spoke she made sure to deal the cards for them.

"Right.. What you betting? Money? Favors? Or clothes?"

There was something vindicating in the way their servers had seamlessly been swapped out. For the third time that night Hargitt was being greeted by a fresh face; this time another older woman and one who didn't bother to stick around long. She kindly dropped off their drinks before slipping back into work.

"Most men scare you, but you sat next to me?" He couldn't help quirking his brow at that. Hargitt knew that some men were 'pretty' enough to pass for a woman, but he simply wasn't one of them. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't ask. After a few drinks though...

"I don't have the coin to spare and my clothes wouldn't fit you so we can bet favors."

She thanked the server then looked at Hargitt as he questioned her choice of seat. Rajani smiled. "If you had plans to hurt or.. Touch me.. You'd have done that." While it wasn't the best way to figure out who to trust it was a way she found usually worked for her.

"Favors it is. Winner gets a favor from the loser to be cashed in at any time. Deal?" She waited for him to agree before she picked up her cards. After that the game would go on and she'd drink her shot.

Hargitt thought it over while he finished off the remains of his stein before shifting to the new one. He wasn't about to pry any further into her personal life, but hearing that kind of explanation did clear up a few things. If she doesn't want to be touched then it makes sense why she'd be the first one to strike. Still...it was a little gratifying that he hadn't been labeled as a threat.

"Deal. Anything I can do within reason I will, and I'll expect you to do the same." Hargitt held up the shot glass, waiting of her to pick up hers. "And no hard feelings when I win."

"You have a fear?" The shifter asked casually.

She held her glass up as well. "Anything within reason." Rajani agreed. She would down her drink when he did then play the game. The fact that he was so confident made her wonder how good he was at the game. Now she really wanted to beat him.

It also made year wonder what favor she would ask of him when she won. The possibilities.

"Everyone fears something." He said easily and let the line of questioning fade away. Speaking of his insecurities wasn't something Hargitt planned on doing in the middle of a bar, even if he did have a few drinks under his belt.

What she didn't know was that Hargitt was a man with many, many brothers and far more chores than any had ever wanted to do. In his youth the older boys had stayed up late into the night placing bets for the next days worth load and until he'd been recruited to train with his Uncle Hargitt had always come out on top.

Hopefully it would be enough to distract the pair of them for the evening.

She had been hoping to learn what that fear was but when he didn't offer it up she didn't push for more. Instead she focused on playing the game. Rajani was good at it but Hargitt was much better. A fact she learned quickly. By the time she noticed, though, it was too late to save herself.

A loud groan left her and she squinted her eyes at the wind male. "I suddenly dislike you." Despite her words she offered a smile. Rajani wasn't a sore loser at least. And losing sometimes was fun too.
