When Nara arrived at Sanada Manor, it was already swarmed by the Third and Sixth divisions. There was not a member of Clan Sanada to be seen. Nara assumed they had been taken into protective custody. She hoped.

Yuki was nowhere to be found, and Nara hoped that she was with her family. She wondered how her friend was doing, with this attack on her family. She hoped for her safety.

Gritting her teeth, she did her best to push the thought of the alternative from her mind, and approached a Shinigami from the 6th Division.

    ”Has Hi Tsubame been located?”

The shinigami shook his head for his answer, and Nara sighed. She didn’t know what to do. She had hoped Yuki would be here, but even in the absence of her friend, she owed the Sanada Clan her assistance, at least as much as she could provide. She turned to Tatakai.

”We need to locate the remaining members of the Sanada Clan and make sure they’re safe. The killer is still on the loose.”

Nara drew her sword, more for a source of comfort than anything. There was nobody to strike down here. It would be easier if there were.

Instead, Nara just stood there, watching the Shinigami swarm the manor. There was no help she could provide for them; she just had to let them do their job. Her eyes scanned the crowd again, hoping to see a Sanada she could get more information from. She knew that most of the Sanada were not fans of her own clan, and for good reason. Her uncle had committed unspeakable crimes against their clan.

She turned back to Tatakai again.

”We are going to investigate this, but we have to stay out of 3rd and 6th divisions’ way. Any ideas?”

Tatakai follows Vice Captain Nara to the Sanada Manor. He watches the Third and Sixth division Shinigami swarm the place, clearly already started on trying to find the culprit. The Vice Captain questions someone to find out if the current suspect had been caught. She then turns and speaks to him. “Indeed. The death of one member of a noble clan is bad enough, we must prevent the death of more.” Tatakai watches the Vice Captain draw her sword, his eyes then flicking about to see if she was responding to a threat, but saw nothing. He then realizes the action for what it is, an urge to solve the problem at hand. She then asks if he has any ideas. Before he can answer, another message is announced that another member of the Sanada clan was dead. Third Seat Sanada Yuisis and Captain Muramasa Kazuki. Tatakai freezes when the name of his Captain is announced, then draws his own sword and silently pushes his way into the manor, not caring if Nara follows, nor if anyone protests him barging in. He is silent until he finds the body of his late Captain. After staring for a little, clear disbelief on his face, it changes to anger, and when he speaks his voice is quiet but angry. “Whoever did this will die. I will assure this.” He then turns to Nara. “Vice Captain, my idea is for us to go to the Hi clan and perform some enthusiastic questioning. Very enthusiastic questioning.” His face shows both anger and intense focus. He plans to ensure someone receives payback for what has been done to his late Captain. The fact that anyone with the strength and power to defeat late Captain Muramasa Kazuki would be far out of his league does not cross his mind. It has been swallowed by the red fog of rage.

Nara nodded tensely as Tatakai stated the obvious. He was right, of course.

”Another murder like this could start a clan war like we’ve never seen.”

That was somewhat of a lie. They had seen a clan war like that before.

As she spoke, she scanned the crowd, which was scattering in all directions, which was hectic between the Seretei’s response and the gathering crowd. She didn’t see Yuki anywhere, meaning she could only be inside the manor.

It was at this moment that the second message came. Two more Sanada were dead, and the Hi were looking more and more guilty. The identity of the dead worried Nara, too. Yuisis and Kazuki were well-known to be high-ranking and powerful members of the Sanada clan.

By the time she got her wits about her enough to try and issue some semblance of an official order to Tatakai, the 11th Division Shinigami was on his way through the crowd, towards the gates of the Manor.

Nara had to rush to catch up. She knew that Kazuki Muramasa was this boy’s captain, and judging from the look of fierce determination on the young shinigami’s face, he had been a captain he had admired.

Nara’s mind went to Yuki. She had to find her. If someone was murdering Sanada Clan members, Yuki could be next. Nara’s determination to protect her friend drove her steps as she charged forward with Tatakai to the gates of the Manor.

A few 3rd Division Shinigami moved to stop them, but the look Nara gave them cowed them into submission. The look and the sight of her badge. She and Tatakai burst through the gates and onto the grounds of the manor.

The grounds were sprawling and well-kept, befitting of their station. She did not take time to admire.

”Tatakai! We have to secure the remaining members of the Sanada Clan! It is our job to keep them safe until more help can arrive! Then we can go find the culprit!”

    Keep her safe.

Yuki was the only Sanada Nara was truly worried for.

With Tatakai at her side Nara made her way towards the building.

╔═════════════════════════════════

The crowd of shinigami parted just as Nara, and Tatakai began to get closer to the building roper and Kurokii, Inei Captain of the Ninth Division walked through the opening they had made for him. "This certainly does not paint the third, or the sixth in a good light and by extension the Gotei Thirteen as a whole a noble patriarch, a third seat, and two captains dead all in a short span of time and the Eleventh captain no less....these are troubling times indeed." He spoke in a calm measured tone as he walked up towards the Nara, and Tatakai but there was an edge to his tone. As he closed with them his footsteps would step across both of their shadows before he came to a brief stop to speak with them directly "I have discussed with members of the third, and sixth division when I first arrived they have gathered up all the servants in a side room I suggest we take time questioning them again to see if we can find anything that they could not as part of the investigation." He began speaking to the two already taking on a role of command, and he would continue to do so until the Captain of the Third, of Sixth arrived.

Turning his focus briefly on Nara he gave her a nod of respect. " I understand this might be personal for you Vice Captain Nara, but I trust you too keep a level head the Tenth has already held some of our best...now I would personally like to go over each of the crime scenes perhaps our fresh eyes, and a more analytic mindset may discover secrets left unnoticed, or covered up by the perpetrator or perpetrators." He would look between the two making sure they both seemed sound of mind for what they were about to partake in. "I would also recommend as well that the two of you stick close to me just in case whoever did this either got the drop on Captain Kazuki, or truly are a force to be reckon with to so soundly handle him." His voice was grave, and serious as he spoke of such things.

Chuckuratsu Ellerose had not been hanging around long, ever since he noticed the hustle and bustle going on around the Sanada Manor. It would seem that there was well more then enough people scurrying over to make sure the clan was alright. Yet the order to which it was going about was negligible. Chuck sighed and simply looked around dismissively, it wasn't his job to deal with the inner workings of other Divisions anyway. Chuck casually lit his pipe with a lighter before making his way through the chaos and the gates into the Sanada Manor's main grounds. Even inside there were shinigami scattered everywhere, yet as he took a drag of the pipe between his lips and exhaled the gray smoke from his lungs, Chuck finally reached the gap made by the other seated shinigami that were now ahead of him. Cold gray eyes peering from beneath the wide brim of his hat as he looks from one to the next while moving towards them, his left hand resting casually on one of the three Swords at his waist. "So is the plan to march right in and take out the last of the Sanada, kid? Or are gon' let another family do the job for us?" Chuck calls out towards Nara as the niece of Aarendor, from the past. His right hand casually holding the lit pipe before he takes another drag. "Or are we more interested in this, Hi Clan or whatever now. I didn't know they lived in the same house." Chuck grufly says as he turned his attention towards the manor and immediately snapped his head to the side to dryly spit onto the ground beside him. Chuck's cold gray eyes turning their attention to the Ninth Division captain that was standing beside the other two and clearly doing what all captains do best, 'Recommend'. "Didn't see you there, eh, Captain. You know, maybe this whole manhunt idea would be easier if we restricted those outside of the necessary divisions to their quarters.. If no ones walking about without the correct papers. It'll be easier to find a stray HI assassin." Chuck slowly allows a cold grin to form across his lips as he turns his head to look directly at the Captain. He was simply referencing an early act towards locking the Soul Society down, which could ease their way into a new act of Inquisition for the betterment of them all.

User ImageX Tatsuka Jiro »3rd Division - 5th Seat
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jiro had come as quickly as possible when he had heard the news. The Third Division was responsible for internal defense, and he couldn’t think of a much greater breach of internal defense than the murder of a high-ranking member of one of the Noble Clans. A noble hadn’t been killed in such a way for many years, at least in as he could remember. This was bad news for sure.

By the time he made it to Sanada Manor, he was sweating, his knuckles wife upon the wood of his rifle, polished to a fine gleam with years of proper care, but also with years of diligent use. Raifuru was a constant companion to Tatsuka Jiro. He had a family to honor. He had a legacy to uphold.

His father had been well-known as an expert marksman, the rifle he wielded never missed its mark. Jiro could only hope that one day he could live up to that. He wanted nothing more than to make his father proud. He tightened his grip on his rifle as he neared the front gate.

There were two 3rd division shinigami stationed at the door. Others were in the process of trying to calm or dispurse the gathering crowd. If dispersion was the goal, they were failing. The crowd only seemed to be growing, like an angry beast. Shinigami and citizen alike clamored to get sight of some kind of action, as if they could see through the walls. It was madness.

Hiro stopped before the two guards, giving a salute.

”3rd Division 5th Seat Jiro Tatsuka, reporting!”

    He practically yelled his introduction.

The two guards nodded their greeting, and Jiro made his way between them and onto the grounds of the Manor.

It was a lot calmer on the grounds of the Sanada Clan. It was eerily quiet here, the sparse Shinigami that worked on their investigations were nearly silent, as if they were afraid of disturbing the heavy peace that had taken this place.

It was a negative peace. A weighted peace.

The kind of peace that only came with death before it.

He looked around, trying to find a superior officer. He needed orders. He needed structure.

As he scanned the grounds, he recognized the captain of the 9th Division, speaking with a Vice Captain and another Shinigami. He didn’t recognize the third shinigami, but he recognized Tenth Division Vice Captain Nara Ellerose and Ninth Division Captain Inei Kurokii. Vice Captain Ellerose did not seem happy with what Captain Kurokii was telling her.

He approached the group, and saluted officially.

”3rd Division 5th Seat Tatsuka Jiro, awaiting orders, sirs!”

He awaited a response from the higher-ranking Shinigami. He had heard some talk about interrogating witnesses, which was something he was skilled in. He was the highest-ranked 3rd Division Shinigami present on the grounds, so ultimately, it would be up to these higher-ranked Shinigami of other divisions to issue his orders.

Tatakai hesitates as Vice Captain Nara, the higher ranking Shinigami, states that they must secure the remaining members of the Sanada Clan first to keep them safe. He struggles internally between listening to the Vice Captain, who is his superior, and his own wants to find the one responsible for late Captain Muramasa’s death. As he internally struggles, a voice pops up in his head. Find the one responsible. By any means. Feed me blood, and eventually the blood of the one responsible. However, Tatakai overrules his zanpakuto and listens to the higher ranking Shinigami, following her inside. Immediately after making his decision, the Captain of the Ninth, Captain Kurokii walks up and starts making what Tatakai decides to label as suggestions. Tatakai will follow Vice Captain Nara’s lead in these. As Captain Kurokii finishes talking, another Vice Captain walks up, this time Vice Captain Ellerose of the First Division. Quite the build up of high ranking Shinigami here. He also makes several suggestions, some seemingly contradictory. And then a Third Division Shinigami walks up that Tatakai doesn’t recognize. Tatakai stands there silently, drawn blade in hand, screw proper etiquette, looking between the various Shinigami as he waits for Vice Captain Nara’s decision as to what to do next.

Nara turned to head down the first hallway, but paused when the Captain of the 9th Division appeared, seemingly taking charge of the situation, as was his right. He commanded the two lesser-ranked Shinigami to follow him to assist with interrogations.

Nara was conflicted. This was a direct order from a superior officer, and she was honor bound to obey. However, Yuki could be in danger, and Nara the only one who could protect her. She had to get to Yuki. Before the Hi did.

Nara was in the midst of this internal struggle when the next announcement came. Her own captain had been killed. Poisoned. This did not bode well.

A lump rose in Nara’s throat. If Captain Ishikawa was dead, that meant Nara was the acting captain of her division, at least until a new captain could be named. She didn’t like this one bit, but she was in charge for now, and had to put on a brave, commanding face.

She turned back to Captain Kurokii.

”As acting captain of the 10th Division, I must ensure the safety of my officer, a member of the Sanada Clan. I am sorry, Captain, but I cannot follow your orders at this time. I will assist with interrogations as soon as the safety of the Sanada Clan can be ensured.”

Nara's nerves turned to anger as her family member, Chuck Ellerose made his appearance known, taunting her. She did her best to ignore him. She had never liked Chuck. He was too much like her uncle by half, but without any of the manners. She gritted her teeth as she avoided making eye contact with him.

It was at this moment that another Shinigami appeared, a lower-ranked member of Division 3, reporting for his orders from the captains gathered here.

”5th Seat Tatsuka Jiro. You assist Captain Kurokii with his investigation until your captain gives you different orders. Tatakai, with me.”

She turned away from the group and headed down the left-most hallway, not even looking to ensure that Tatakai had obeyed her orders. She knew this shinigami well enough to know that he had.

Niru arrived to the scene in a swirl of flowered silk. It was far too chaotic here for his looks to get much attention, but there were a few glances. He saw them. It was impossible for Chichiro Nirunada not to garner attention. He was the most beautiful shinigami in the seretei, at least by his own reckoning. Nobody could serve looks quite like Niru.

The scene was chaotic, with the Third Division trying (and failing) to control the gathering mob. This place was getting rowdier and rowdier. Niru knew the beginnings of a riot when he saw one. Without a word, he slowly drew his blade.

The Tea House, usually peaceful, had been rather busy. He didn’t go there to socialize, he went there to drink tea. He felt positively restless sitting in there, with holes being blown in the ceiling, and scoundrels trying to charm their way into lady shinigami’s pants, with charm and drink. The whole scene had been a wash.

He had so much pent up frustration, and this would be a wonderful way to vent it.

Inei gives a slow nod towards Nara resting a hand on his chin as he looked her over with those cold eyes of his. "Very well Acting Captain see to their protection as is your duty, but keep your eyes peeled these foes we now face are far more dangerous then we had first thought I do not wish to lose anymore shinigami then we have too." Turning away from Nara he trusted her to see to her duties to her fullest capabilities, and as it were he was lucky that more seated shinigami had arrived to assist."Vice Captain Ellerose, and 5th Seat Tatsuka." He gave them both a nod moving to step past them his gaze looking past them towards the crowds that was only growing more chaotic by each passing moment. As he stepped past them he made sure his steps brushed along the fringes of the shadows they cast upon the ground.

"Hmm this crowd is getting far too out of hand...where is that woman she of all people should have been here already" He muttered looking back towards the two men with a sigh, and a shake of his head. "Vice Captain Ellerose, please take Tatsuka and see if you can get that crowd under some semblance of control until Captain Shishio arrives and as of right now unless the Captain Commander decries otherwise we will continue operations as is to bring these criminals to justice." He looked back once more at the crowd gazing across it those sharp blue eyes reading the crowd. "I suggest you hurry I doubt they will remain civil much longer, also when Captain Shishio arrives inform her I will be in the manor looking over the crime scenes." With that he would leave the two men to their orders stepping finally into the building.

Inside of the manor he had to make a choice on which crime scene that he wanted to look over first there was of course the one that started this chains of events off that of the murder of Sanada Ryuu, but there was also the murder of not only another Sanada the 3rd Seat of the 3rd division, but also that of Captain Kazuki of the 11th. No matter how you looked at it this was not an ideal situation in the slightest. After, but just a moment coming to the decision quickly he made his way further in towards where Sanada Ryuu's body was he would start their looking over the scene of the crime to find any clue that the rank, and file 3rd Division Shinigami could have easily missed. "Now shadows show me what you hide." He whispered to himself as he walked into the room where Sanada Ryuu had passed.

It would seem that the majority of his suggestions were not up to par with the situation yet. Its curious to see how many more Shinigami were needed to fall before the necessary actions to bring safety to the Soul Society would be put into place. With the commands of the highest ranking official here at the moment being put out, Chuck slowly nods his head while drawing the pipe from his mouth and releasing a plume of smoke from his lips in the direction of the others without even a look of concern on his face. As I Inei spoke and walked forward though, Chuck's right hand tensed over one of the zanpaktou at his waist, a soft click emanating from him as his body shifts backwards and away in a flash. The plume of smoke separating into two, and a decent gash appearing upon the ground between himself and Inei. With that flash of movement, a second click of a zanpaktou returning to its sheath would be heard from where Chuck stood now, a decent few steps away. His cold grey eyes peering out from beneath the wide brim of his hat. "No need to get so close, Captain. We don't know who the assassins really are or what they can do.. So no need to be.. Stepping on each other's toes here." He says after a moment, with a wicked grin upon his face. Chuck knew full well that his actions were a threat, that didn't matter to much to him at this point though. He raises a hand to beckon for Tatsuya to join him as he heads towards the mob of Shinigami wasting their time around the manor. "You got anything flashy that would get this useless lot's attention? I've already drawn once against an ally today, don't need to add decapitations to my list too." He says once Tatsuya makes it over to him, his cold gray eyes overlooking the chaos.

Jiro clasped his closed fist to his chest in salute as acting captain Ellerose ordered her to assist Captain Kurokii with his investigation. He turned towards the 9th Division Captain, awaiting further orders.

His orders came quickly, as did another Vice Captain, this one from the 1st Division. Chuck Ellerose had a nasty reputation among his peers as one of the more… ruthless of his clan. That did not matter much to Jiro, at the moment. It was a time of crisis, and both of these Shinigami outranked him. He was theirs to command.

Kurokii ordered he and Vice Captain Ellerose (the boy one) to try and control the crowd, at least until Captain Shishio could arrive.

”Yes, sir!” Jiro saluted Kurokii in much the same way as he had Now-Captain Ellerose.

He turned to Vice Captain Chuck Ellerose, and awaited further instruction. This vice captain was known to be a fierce warrior, and an excellent commander. Jiro would provide support in whatever way he could.

Chuck instructed him to do something to get the crowd’s attention. Jiro knew just the thing.

He aimed his rifle into the air and fired two shots, the second a kidou shot designed to make as much noise as possible.

The crowd around them quieted, the citizens turning to see what the source of the deafening bang was.

”Everyone, listen up! Everything is under control! Please disperse calmly!”

The crowd was courteous enough to let Jiro finish his announcement before they began to rise in volume again, the noise going from silence to an angry buzz of activity.

The crowd began to close in on Chuck and Jiro, pressing against them. Pushing them.

This was quickly turning into a riot.

Was not one loss not enough for the Sanada to suffer? Now her father figure was dead... again. Was the young Sanada cursed? Those close to her died... her Mother, her Father, her siblings, now her Grandfather and cousin joined their ranks. Worst of all... if it could get worse... The 3rd Seat Shinigami found herself locked into a long abandoned cell beneath the Manor. Yuuta had locked her up after she caught the man killing her cousin's boyfriend apparently after having attacked his own sister. Crimson eyes twinkling as water filled them. Her hands bound behind her back by anti-spiritual power cuffs and her mouth bound and gagged. The silver haired maiden sitting on the cot like bed, waiting for her knight to find her and save her from the dragon that is her twisted cousin. Sadly, not even many of the Sanada knew the secret basement still existed.

Ikasu hurries up to the manor, having come from across town after the announcement had slowly made its way to the tea house. As he runs up, he notices that Kanda is making her way there and frowns. 'Of course she's going to show up. I suppose it only makes sense. As long as I get whatever is left of the killer.' On the way over he has had time to temper his anger into something more civil to interact with the others, but it is still boiling hot. "Any word on who killed my cousin and my grandfather?" he asks irritably.

Tora over takes him in speed and gives him a look. "Ikasu, let the investigation finish before you let your hot head get you into hot water." She looks over at at the situation, and approaches. "Toraneko Hinote, fourth seat of third division reporting. I came as soon as I got the news. How far into the investigation have we gotten?"

Hax walks up with his usual flare and wearing a bright gold fashionable kimono. "I was attending a kabuki when this unfortunate business was going on. Hi Kirukoto, fifth seat of Division Twelve. Probies, go get the evidence for the lab. I will be sitting out the actual investigation of the evidence. Family reasons." He politely flourishes a slight bow, respectful, but not deep. This family is still equal to his own after all. At one point a niece of his had married one of their own and briefly the two groups had been combined. Her son split them back into two and gave it to his one surviving sister, Yuki. A decision that Hax could respect. He makes a light tug on his collar and his kimono takes on a more evening appropriate, highly fashionable kimono with long flowing sleeves and hemline. Tucking his arms inside of his sleeves as he folds them, he evaluates the situation. Niru catches his attention. "What a breath taking beauty you are, sir. What brings such a handsome specimen as yourself to this sordid situation?" Even in the middle of chaos, Hax still can manage to flirt. This is something that he finds as natural as breathing or enjoying a good sake.

Kanda enters the area, flashing her credentials and seeking out other members of her division. "Kanda Mitsuki, third seat of sixth. What is the current situation?" she demands in her stern, cold voice. Her eyes are as hard as flint and draconic in spirit. This is what has earned half of her nickname 'Dragon b***h.' The other half being due to her hard a** nature. She listens to one of her division's grunts, revealing nothing about her thoughts or opinions. "I suggest that anybody who is not necessary for the investigation or does not out rank me get out of the investigation. We do not need vigilantes running around acting like hot headed brats," she says with irritation in her voice. At least it sounds like irritation. Her division subordinates know better than that. She is simply trying to defuse the situation as much as can be managed and clear the area of unnecessary personnel. "I would like to remind everybody that we need to allow cooler heads to prevail, as a rush to judgement could turn this powder keg into a holocaust. Seeing as we all live here in the Soul Society, I am sure that nobody wants yet another clan war or political s**t show." She hopes that her vice captain will arrive soon.
