Prompt 6

Now, Lucy considered herself...a person, but a person who did not believe in Santa, or flying reindeer, despite basically having her world rocked about magic and other such things just a few months ago, so when she heard some thumps on the roof of her parents home, who she had come to visit for the holidays (and get food and money and gifts, naturally), she didn't think of santa or his sleigh, she thought of robbers, or those negaverse people in sillier outfits than her much more practical and simple outfit, and that perhaps, just maybe, she should get up there in form and beat whatever it was up, because it certainly wasn't her dad, because she wasn't twelve. So, with a quiet murmur she transformed and headed outside to the ladder she could use to get on the roof. After several minutes, made shorter by her own skills honed by her exploration past time, and was greeted by...."No, your kidding." She nearly pleaded, staring at the very real, very alive, reindeer. She wondered if her parents set this up, and dismissed it. Nah, they weren't that determined to play the ultimate joke, and it certainly wasn't her, she'd come up there to fight whatever or whoever it was after all, but she remembered this was a caribou, and that would be stupid as hell to try. So she sighed, putting her weapon into it's little holster, and stayed a respectful distance from the creature. "Hey there, how'd you get up here?" She tried sounding calm and friendly, but the reindeer just looked at her. "O...okay, can you...can you hop down?" Real good question Lucy, really good thing to ask something that would probably break your legs and it's legs as it jumped. When it just continued to stare, she started to set aside the last of her held on disbeliefs, and began maybe, possibly, looking for those sleigh bell reigns indicative of ....santa, but the second she looked away and turned back, the reindeer was gone. She blinked, at first confused, and then angry. Did she just imagine all of that??? Is it because she had to respect a genuine sleep schedule while here, so she just made up this stupid scenario where a reindeer was on the roof!? Well, she eliminated that quickly, since she was outside, remembered waking up to go outside onto the roof, so no, she wasn't dreaming. Which left her cold, annoyed, and wait, were those prints? She got closer and sure enough, there were prints from the reindeers hooves all over the roof. She climbed back down, wandering around the house to see if there were any prints there, but only found her own, she went back up, looked again. Odd then, the prints were only on the roof, which kind of unsettled her in a way not even that derelict and run down mansion she and her camera guy visited last month had. She climbed back down, setting the ladder back where she found and went to bed, deciding maybe to just put this behind her, she hoped.
