There are many superstitions and beliefs in Tendaji, often originating from the culture and gods of each individual region. Wherever one goes, they might find a new routine or practice based on the region they are in. However, there seems to be one thing that all Tendaji residents believe in - the power and beauty of a meteor shower.

The rare celestial event is seen as a blessing, and this one just so happens to have appeared right when the New Year began. Oh what luck and what a great omen - this must be a sign of good fortune for the year to come.

Ylva came bustling out of the trees, hot on Wangui's tail. It hadn't been a race, not really, but the moment she had caught sight of Wangui ahead of her in the forest, she had picked up the pace in the hopes of catching her. It wasn't to be, but Ylva didn't seem terribly upset as she flitted up to her sister with a happy grin.

"Are you here to watch the meteor shower too, sister?" she asked, the words rattling off her tongue as if she couldn't wait to get them out.
