[1/7] Nayyara was moving around the camp, taking in the hustle and bustle with bright eyes and near obsession. She would be leaving her home soon, and while she was excited about that fact, she also was nervous and terrified she might never see her sisters and cousins again. She loved her home, but also wanted to learn more about her heritage. To travel across the seas to see the other great trees was her dream, and she was blessed to share it with her mother.
Eventually, she'd have to say goodbye to her family, but for now she went off in search of her littlest cousins. While sometimes troublesome, she did adore the young girls and wanted to spend what time she had with them whenever she could.
The question was, which one would she find today?

"No, you gotta stand up, not fall down," Enya cried, rushing forward for the upteenth time that day just to fix her 'opponent'. A figure made of reeds, mud, and rope slouched forward, it's gooey body blending in with the porous earth. For the most part she'd tried to make it look realistic. The poor thing had, at one point, even held a smile. Now, however, that smile was drooping so much it looked positively horrified.
When Enya finally had it propped back up with yet another stick she stepped back to prepare. Her arms were solid black up to the bicep with mud, as was most of her body in splotches, but it didn't deter her. She lifted her 'swords' and struck a pose. The swords, of course, were two sticks of varying lengths.

[2/7] After an extensive search of their little village, Nayyara decided she'd hunt a little farther out. Considering her aunt's habits, she had a feeling her cousins would be quite comfortable in the wilderness of the isle. Sludging through the deeper mud of the area - it had rained pretty hard the other night, she finally made her way to a clearing to catch sight of the big buns of one Enya.
"Hey there, Enya!" She called out in a greeting, "Whatcha doing with that...bush?"

Enya had just struck at her 'opponent' when she heard her cousin calling out to her. Naturally, Nayyara's voice caused her footing to falter and that was why her strike was so off balance. It certainly wasn't because she was slapping at a mass of mud all willy nilly, no no. As it stood her 'blade' became lodged in the 'torso' of her opponent and with an aggravated grunt Enya tried pulling it out to no avail.
"S'not a bush," She grunted. With a firm tug she freed her blade and gasped when her opponents head sloshed right off! "I'm having...a big...battle..." The little elidae had dropped her sticks and was bent at the waist, doing her best to pick up the mound of mud to put it back on top.

[3/7] Nayyara had to resist laughing at the sight of her true-cousin grappling with the blade that was lodged in the mud. /It was quite the sight to see the small girl try so hard to be a big warrior.
"A battle?" She asked with humor in her voice, "Are we under attack by the swamp army of the great mudlands? Should I go fetch my spear?"

'Uh huh", Enya said with a breathless grunt. The determined little elidae shoved the 'head' back onto her opponents form and stood back with a great, heaving sigh. Battles were a lot more work than she'd originally thought!
"It's not a real fight so you don't have to be scared. I would have protected you, anyway. I'm getting pretty good with my swo- OH NO." Once again her opponents head fell off, but instead of picking it up Enya swung her leg out and kicked it. Her foot promptly got stuck in the muck causing the child to fall over with a loud squeal.

[4/7] The older girl actually started laughing at the sight, before moving to offer her hand to help the younger cousin up. Enya was such a breath of fresh air, and Nayyara really did enjoy her extended family.
"Afraid? Fighting isn't what I'm afraid of, little cousin. Though real fights are quite terrifying compared to mud-monsters..."Painted Moose I'm going to try and power through this if you're open?

Elyessi Currently out of the state so I’m not sure how fast I’ll be ^^; “Oh.” Enya gladly took up the offered hand and pulled herself up with a little ‘hup’. “If you’re not scared of fighting then what are you afraid of? Bugs? Thunder storms?” Now that she was on the topic the little ones brain ran through all the possibilities. Her cousin was older than her which meant she shouldn’t be scared of anything, right?

[5/7] Nayyara paused at that, her face scrunching up in thought. What was she afraid of? Storms didn't scare her, neither did Earthlings or the Kahikinans. After a long second, she smiled a small smile before turning back to her cousin.
"Being alone. I'm afraid of losing everyone and being alone." she said lowly, before smiling more and bumping shoulders with the little girl, "Gotta be brave if I want to protect my family, right?"

“Elyessi” Replying from the car so let’s see how well this works out haha Enya snorted and rolled her eyes before reaching out to pinch Nayyara’s arm. “That’s silly! You’re never alone and you’ll never BE alone. We aren’t going anywhere!” With her face shifting into a bright smile Enya wrapped her arms around her older cousin and squeezed. “I’ll always be here, even if you do something dumb or say something mean. So we can be brave together.” The thought of losing her family, though….Why was she that worried about something that would never happen? Their family was all there, except for Aunt Pruu, and she wasn’t even really Nayyara’s aunt.

[6/7] That's right, Enya didn't really know how long Nayyara would be gone. As she hugged her cousin back, she wondered if it was smart to just lay it all on the line or keep it light.
Looking at Enya, she knew the girl deserved to know.
"I mean...I am..." She said slowly, "I'm leaving soon to go see the other trees, and I am nervous. A little scared I'll come back and you wont recognize me...or I wont recognize you!" She smiled at that, "But you're right, I'll always have you and your sister and the whole family!"Painted Moose Oops didn't see the alert D:

Enya tilted her head up with a furrowed brow. “Why would that be any different than when I go off with Mama Pyrrha? We see trees all the time. You’ll be gone for a bit but then you’ll be back and we can play.” Why…wouldn’t she be able to recognize her? Nayyara wasn’t going to suddenly become pink or something, was she?
“You can just write to me and let me know when something happens that way if you DO look different I’ll know. Just… try not to be gone TOO long, okay? Or I might be taller than you.”

[7/7] Nayyara smiled at the comment, appreciating how simple it was for her little cousin.
"Okay, I'll make sure to write you..." She said with a grin, it shouldn't be too hard to send letters when she was at port. She'd also make sure to bring back some fun trinkets from each location for her two cousins. They'd probably really appreciate that.
"Let's get you cleaned up and maybe I can show you a few moves I learned in classes the other day..."
Painted Moose thank you for helping me finish this!
