Hobbies
● GOLEMANCY: Golemancy is the study and creation of artificial sentient constructs to serve a variety of purposes. Presently speaking, Aesir has created three sizable rock golems. Unfortunately for Aesir, they are all about as intelligent as you would think someone with a rock for a brain would be.
● ASTROLOGY/ASTRONOMY: Simply put, Aesir studies the heavens, hoping to chart the courses of the stars throughout the year, and to perhaps divine some meaning from their alignments within the heavens.
● MANA-STUDY: While this specific hobby ties directly into his profession, Aesir loves to study how mana works. Why are spell uses limited on a day to day basis? How do the laws of magic function, and why do they exist in the first place? What can mana achieve in its rawest form?
The Personal Things
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
Personality ● Aesir is a kind enough fellow, if not a bit off his rocker. His skill with magic is great, but he has isolated himself so heavily from society that he can't properly communicate, and thus can come across as anything from overly timid to incredibly blunt and unfeeling. And though he can prone to enraged outbursts when someone interferes with his research, Aesir is very friendly and loves meeting new people, even if they usually end up trying to flee from him in fear. He's also truly lonely on an existential level, due to the horrific isolation he's endured for almost all of his life

Strengths
● Magic: Aesir is incredibly skilled in the arcane arts, and it would not be unfair to say that the only thing keeping him from truly exploring his outer limits is his lack of fundamental knowledge. It is through the use of magic that Aesir finds true enjoyment in life.
● Survival Skills: Having survived on his own since the age of eight years old, Aesir is no stranger to fending for himself in the wild. On several occasions, travelers have mistaken him for a wood elf due to his almost primal tactics when it comes to hunting, tracking, and
● Talent for Leadership: Despite the fact that Aesir's trio of golems have the combined IQ of a grain of salt. The Half Elf's innate talent for leadership allows him to effectively command and control these golems. While this is the current extent of this talent, with time and nurturing, he could be a truly fearsome leader someday.
Weaknesses
● Mental instability: Inherited from his father and mother alike, Aesir isn't exactly the most mentally sound elf you'll ever meet. He's prone to sudden mood swings and outbursts of screaming. Though to his credit, these outbursts are not usually aggressive towards others(outside of his golems) and are usually just his way of expressing the immense amount of mental stress and strain he feels on a day-to-day basis. The occasional barrage of disembodied voices, combined with mild hallucinations and delusions, can lead to Aesir having some just... really miserable days.
● Social Failure: Considering the fact that Aesir spent the first eight years of his life in near-absolute isolation, and then the next nineteen years by himself in the wilderness, it's safe to say his social skills aren't exactly up to snuff. Aesir struggles with interpersonal communication, properly expressing emotion, and he has no understanding of social normalcy.
● Societal Outcast: There's no easy way to put it, Aesir doesn't understand the key points of society. His understanding of currency is limited and extremely easy to exploit. He doesn't understand the concept of taboos, nor does he realize that the pursuit of knowledge is not a universal goal. Aesir is also not aware that it is very unnatural for a mother to try to kill their child, and believes that is simply how the world works. With that said, let it be known he is a strange egg, but not a bad egg.

Biography
● Aesir Omenbrand was born by the name of Emiren Valuun. His mother was a member of the Moon Elves and his father? Well, his father was actually King Hernando. However, being that the king raped his mother to conceive him, she told him that his father was an elven warrior who died in an ambush when he was just an infant. Ever since he was a wee bab, Emiren had an incredible proficiency for magic, and the Sorcerers held high hopes for him to join their ranks. However, his mother was rather disgusted by this magical talent and forced him to suppress it from the moment he could walk. When it proved more than she could hide in public, she made the logical decision to lock him in their home and to never let him out. For the next five years, he remained locked inside, rarely ever seeing sun or moon. It was here that Emiren discovered, primarily by accident mind you, the fundamentals of golemancy when playing around with some rocks his mother had thrown at him. When his playing around and manipulation of mana led to the rocks turning into a small rock creature, Emiren was thrilled to finally have a companion. His mother was less pleased and used an old garden trowel to destroy the creature. Emiren was heartbroken but knew not to argue with his mother.
While all this had been occurring, Emiren's mother had been slowly deteriorating mentally, and the golemancy had been the last straw. Convinced that her son was some kind of curse sent to her by the goddess, she bought a dagger from the market and conspired to murder her son. It was a well-executed attempt, but it was thwarted by the very same rock creature that she believed she had destroyed, the creature reconstituting itself to protect its creator. The tragic attempt at filicide ended with Emiren's mother dying to her own dagger. With no family or true home left for him in Estherel, Emiren gathered up what few books, and what money he could find. Then, he and his miniature rock golem boarded the next ship out of Estherel. At the age of ten, Emiren had found their way to Bormiel where he would find a life for himself as an arcane researcher living out in the wilds. As time passed, Aesir would slowly work to perfect his craft of Golemancy and gaining an understanding of the fundamentals of arcane alchemy through this means. The longer Aesir studied, the more he learned. Of course, his sanity slowly started to slip as the Ishgar blood in his veins compounded with the unruly magic secrets rattling around in his head. Thankfully for everyone, Aesir especially, his lack of understanding about moral dilemmas, as well as the concepts of right and wrong, created a perfect storm in his head to make him emotionally unstable, unfathomably lonely, and quite eccentric, As opposed to becoming some absolute psychopath anyways. Eventually, Aesir would make his first non-golem friend in the form of a traveler he met named Jordan. Jordan was kind to Aesir, at least... that's what Aesir thought. The young elf believed he was being given a killing in coin for his potions. When in reality, Jordan was basically robbing him blind. What Jordan bought of Aesir for a single gold piece, he could sell for fifty or more in the market. And ever since, Jordan had been tactfully exploiting Aesir's magical potion-making talents to enrich himself like no merchant before him.
And so that is how life has fared for Aesir up until the present. He currently resides in a wood and stone cottage deep in the forests of Bormiel, far from the main roads. Only a narrowly winding path made by Aesir and Jordan's footfalls serves as any kind of indication that someone lives that far out... The cottage stands atop a jagged granite hill, and Aesir calls the place Olivenafell. A fleeting tribute to his long-deceased mother.
