Spirit Character System This Thread contains information on the Spirit playable race. Every System a Spirit Character has access to is listed in this Thread. When creating a Spirit Character, please do your best to follow our Systems as closely as possible. Characters that do not follow our Systems may not be approved and may not become useable in our Roleplays. For your convenience, a Spirit RCP Skeleton is featured at the bottom of this Thread. Simply copy-and-paste the Skeleton into a new Thread in the RCP Applications Subforum and fill in the blanks to make your first RCP. Once that RCP is approved, you will be able to start Roleplaying with us using that Character.

Spirits - Playable Race Spirits are a human-like people, roughly 30-40% of which show specific traits like Animal Ears, Tails, or Markings on their skin (no Spirit has fur covering more than a small portion of their body, however). The remaining 60-70% look just like Humans. All Spirits are able to use some small amounts of Magic (which later can become quite advanced), in order to improve their daily lives or give them an edge in battle. At first, most Spirits can only create a small gust of wind, or break a lock, or spark a small flame. Rarely, a Spirit will show talent in Healing Magic, able to heal the wounds of others, though any attempt by those who are unskilled is dangerous both to the healer and their target. Spirits do not tend to form large communities like Humans do, though they are known to form tight-knit loyal families or small estates. Talented Spirits have unlocked further potential in Magic, and are skilled combatants even without it. Many have become proficient in the use of Swords, Daggers, Spears, Bows, and the like. Race Bonus - Unknown An unknown potential is waiting to be discovered through the events of our Guild-Wide Story Roleplay... Weapons, Armor and Accessories Characters are able to equip Weapons, Armor and Equipment of the following types: Swords, Daggers, Polearms, Axes / Hammers, Bows, Chain Weapons, Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Head or Face Coverings, Shields, Accessories, and more. This list is not exhaustive and you can come up with new Weapons, Armor and Equipment as you please, so long as they are everyday varieties of such things that could have existed in real life in more or less the same time period as Feudal Japan. Currency and Materials  All Characters can acquire Currency and Materials, which are used to trade with NPCs and other Guild Members in order to acquire other Materials, new Equipment or Artifacts, etc, or can be used to increase the size of Energy Bars, unlock higher tiers of Elemental Magic, access new Locations and more.

This System requires an enormous amount of work to initially construct, but should be relatively easy to maintain once in place. As it is not ready yet, we expect this System will be added at a later time. Elemental Magic All Spirits are able to use Elemental Magic, though most will struggle to do very much with it. At first, most Spirits are only able to create a small gust of wind, or spark a small flame, break a lock, or shift a tiny boulder aside. With training, and some specific means we will discover through our Guild-Wide Story Roleplays, Spirits are able to achieve greater and more impressive mastery of Elemental Magic. (Note: The naming convention and basic setup for our Seven-Element Magic System is of course inspired by Genshin Impact. A balanced system where each element is just as viable and useful as all others is easier to balance and offers more variety for our Roleplays.) Each Spirit can use one of the following elements (known as their Elemental Affinity): ▪ Pyro (Fire, Flames and Explosions) ▪ Hydro (Water, Waves and Fluid Pressure) ▪ Cryo (Ice, Snow and Freezing Cold) ▪ Electro (Lightning and Electrical Energy) ▪ Dendro (Nature, Plant-life and Medicine) ▪ Anemo (Wind, Air Currents and Air Pressure) ▪ Geo (Earth, Stone and Sands) After certain events in our Guild-Wide Story Roleplay unfold, Spirits will be able to acquire an affinity for a second element. For a bunch of info on the topic, head over to the Elemental Magic System. Artifacts Artifacts are enchanted items that provide a useful effect to the wearer. All Spirits can equip and benefit from Artifacts, so long as they have an Artifact Slot available. Artifacts can be acquired by defeating specific, challenging enemies in our Guild-Wide Story Roleplay, or through challenging and defeating a Possessed Beast (think Boss Monster) once or twice a week. Spirit RCP Skeleton Please follow these instructions when posting your RCP: ▪ Copy and paste the code below into a new Thread in the RCP Applications Subforum. You may style your RCP however you like, so long as the same information found below appears in your RCP. Use colored text, your own divider images, etc, if you wish. ▪ Please use the following naming convention when naming the Thread: "[ Character Name | Race ]", for example "[ Siel Kosane | Spirit ]" ( Please note that if you obtain a Title through our roleplays, it can be added to the end of the Thread Title, e.g. "[ Aylinne Sera | Spirit | Vanna Village Elder ]" )
▪ Fill in the appropriate details in each section. Images: Please remember to keep any images in your RCP under 800 Pixels Wide by 500 Pixels Tall. Obtained Items: Some sections (e.g. Weapons, Armor and Equipment) you cannot fill in until you obtain these items in our Roleplays. You will be told when you can add these things to your RCP.
▪ Erase all of the sections in ALL CAPS.
▪ An RCP Judge, a Guild Admin or the Guild Leader will review your RCP and Approve it if it looks to be in order. Approved RCPs get moved to the Approved RCPs Subforum. The RCP Judge, Guild Admin or Guild Leader will Post in your RCP Thread, Quoting you to inform you that you can begin using that Character to Roleplay with us.
▪ You may at any time Quote an RCP Judge, a Guild Admin, or the Guild Leader, if you feel it is taking too long for your RCP to be reviewed, or if you need it reviewed urgently for any reason. Please only Quote up to once per day. Spamming Quotes will not see your RCP reviewed sooner.
