Quote:
Prompt 2: The downside to an army of little bunnies is that they burrow. There are holes peppering Destiny City, and with the fresh fallen snow it can be impossible to tell where they are hiding. The holes range from small holes to several feet deep, so can be a minor inconvenience to a potential hazard. On the bright side, sometimes you wind up covered in bunnies looking for warmth from their sudden guest. On the other hand, there are a rising number of trips to the hospital for twists and sprains.

Gismondine was trying so hard to be better at this whole thing. He had gotten a little better at punching! He could do it now without his wrist aching after the first few minutes, and he thought that his punches were getting stronger. At the very least, he had a little more confidence...taking energy from people was still complicated...and the idea of taking starseeds...well. He didn’t like the idea still so he didn’t do it…

But he could punch! If he had to.

...And when the top hatted cinnamon guy came after him again...he had to.

He had managed a really solid punch against the male’s face, right in one of his eyes, so desperate was he to just get away...but then he had used his magic, and suddenly, Gismondine couldn’t breathe.

He coughed and sputtered, and his foot caught in some kind of a hole in the ground and down he went into the snow, crying out in confusion and alarm.

Being on the ground was not the place he wanted to be when there was someone who enjoyed strangling people far too much jumping to straddle him.

And Parisite was nowhere to be found…

...And he still hadn’t confessed his feelings to Xander.

...Poop.

Gelria was pissed, of course he didn’t like getting punched in the face. Nobody liked being punched in the face...but at least the little scum didn’t punch hard...and at least he was alone. He could finish him off this time. Make him pay for the stab wounds that his friend had given him.

And so long as that pest didn’t show up, there would be no issues.

And when the lieutenant fell. Well. It turned into something akin to taking candy from a baby.

He laughed as the male coughed and sputtered with his magic, and laughed even louder when the guy fell into the snow. Well. At least he was making this easy.

Gently, he sat on the male’s chest and let his fingers curl around his neck. “Well now. This feels familiar. Why don’t we just finish what we started. Nobody’s coming to save you this time.”

Elsa did not, on the whole, go looking for fights, these days. He was genuinely proud of himself, and the work he'd done to deal with all his built-up anger and resentment--at the world, at his parents, at everything--and he liked to think he was genuinely in a better, healthier place than he'd been when he first donned his sparkly, magical outfit and become Sailor Elsa.

Maybe that was why Soyala had found him, after the fight with the monster in the strange Silent Hill-type village, and told him that it was time for him to power up. Maybe the real secret to magical power had been emotional stability all along. And really, Elsa was glad to not be getting into fights left, right, and center.

But sometimes, a fight dropped itself in your lap, and you had to get involved.

Coming up on a White Moon Eternal strangling some poor Negaverse lieutenant? That was one of those times. Nothing made Elsa see red like people targeting those weaker than them, and Elsa was pretty sure this was what his therapist would call "using his anger productively." If he could tell her about it without heavily redacting, that is.

"Hey!" He shouted, and he was already yanking off his gloves as he leapt down from the building he was on. "Get off him!"

Gismondine made a soft whimper and his lips trembled as he looked up at Gelria with wide, frightened eyes. He didn’t have the strength to say anything, and the idea of struggling took a big backseat to simply trying to keep calm and to keep breathing.

Parisite was going to be so upset with him. This...wasn’t…

If he hadn’t tripped if…

Something warm moved underneath him and he helped in surprise and fear, eyes snapping open, as the head of a little white rabbit nuzzled against his side. Oh.

...at least he was going to do some good before he died? The...the bunny would be warm. That was nice.

When he heard the voice, and felt the aura of someone else nearby, he was feeling a little faint, but bit his lip, trying to just…

Well. He didn’t want pain.

When the rabbit poked his head out from the side of the lieutenant, Gelria jumped. A little. “Something that cute shouldn’t be hanging around someone so filthy….” He grumbled, his hands tightening around the male’s neck, pleased when the boy didn’t struggle.

They never made it easy on him, but this one...had seemed rather soft to begin with so--

Gelria’s thoughts were rudely interrupted by the feeling of a stronger, chaotic aura and he hissed softly, wanting to end this before they...ah.

Noticed him. But. There was a ringing voice breaking through the night, and he looked up, his eyes cold, in spite of the warm color that they were. “It’s none of your business. If I want to choke out my boyfriend. So be it.” His voice was cool, and he smirked slightly, taking in the appearance of the male. One of the mirror senshi then.

He did like to hurt them. “If you want, when I’m done with him...I can take care of you, too.”

Elsa's eyes narrowed, and he moved closer, prowling like a predator. "That's interesting. If that *is* your boyfriend, he sure doesn't look like he consented to this, which means either you're a lying scumbag or you're an abusive scumbag, and neither of those makes you someone I'm interested din letting put his hands on me."

He didn't have time to get close enough to grab the Senshi and let his regular magic take effect. If he used the area magic, the poor officer would be caught in it, too.

Something in him rumbled. His new power, maybe. His new magic.

"Wendigo Howl." Elsa growled, and he brought his hand up to his mouth, biting until he tasted copper.

And he changed.

The monster Elsa became roared, viciously, and charged forward, clawed hand extended, to grab at Gelria.

Quote:
Eternal Sailor Attack: Wendigo Howl!
Sailor Elsa speaks the name of his attack, and then bites into his own hand hard enough to draw blood. He appears to transform into a Wendigo - a tall, gaunt humanoid creature with extremely pale skin, cold to the touch and reeking of rotten flesh. In this state, his single focus is an overpowering hunger - he cannot distinguish friend from foe, is numb to physical pain, and is all but impervious to emotion-oriented magical attacks. He receives no physical boosts beyond the ability to keep going through injuries. The magic lasts for 40 seconds, and when it wears off, Elsa will be extremely drained - he cannot cast any other magic, and if he has cast prior to using Wendigo Howl, he will likely fall unconscious (never mind the effects of any injuries sustained while in Wendigo form!) Elsa can only use this magic once per battle; it is intended as a last resort.

For a moment, for a fleeting moment, Gelria felt almost bad for the officer he had beneath his hands. If killing him kept getting interrupted like this...That would simply be a lot of unnecessary fear.

He rolled his eyes, glancing at the Dark Mirror Senshi and smirking. “You know know my life. Or his kinks. Or our lives. Just move along.”

But of course, he didn’t

Gelria watched in horror, his grip loosening as he watched the senshi bite himself and change into a literal monster. He glanced at the lieutenant and hissed. “Don’t you dare move. I will be back to finish this.” Not that he should move at all. Not when there was a deranged, enraged senshi here rushing for them.

His eyes flickered around for a moment before he got up, running quickly for a few steps then stopping and raising his hand to attack the monster. “Cinnamon Challenge!”

He hoped that it would be enough. Hoped that it would do something. Good lord...he was actually.

...Actually afraid for once.

Noir Songbird
Gelria holds out his hand towards an opponent, a beam of light moves towards them and fills their mouth with a teaspoon full of cinnamon. The beam can be easily avoided, but so long as it hits the body in some place, the attack comes into effect. The cinnamon can not be spit out for 30 seconds. The cinnamon coats and dries the mouth and throat, resulting in coughing, gagging, and at times, vomiting, depending on the player. When the cinnamon can be spat out, it causes the same irritations that the previous two attacks can cause, as the enemy is expelling cinnamon. This attack can be used twice per battle, on different people only.

Gismondine drew in a breath when the hands were gone, and continued to draw in more, keeping them as deep as he could and watching the scene with slightly unfocused eyes, trying to blink sight back into them.

The other chaos aura had done some kind of magic and was now a large...monster creature thing and...was attacking the cinnamon senshi...maybe...maybe he could make a run for it, but…

...At the same time. Maybe it would be best just to wait and see what happened...and if he played dead, perhaps the monster wouldn’t turn on himi when he was done with Thanksgiving Dessert Man.

The only thing that he did do, was reach down to gently stroke the bunny, wishing he could offer some words of comfort to the creature. Wishing he could take the little thing home and love on it forever.

The monster moved with the speed of an Etyernal Senshi, bearing down on Gelria with only one thought in mind: Gelria's utter destruction. It would rip, tear, feast--

Adn then there was a magic beam, and a strange taste in its mouth, an unusual physical sensation, and it hesitated, choking on the sudden spice. The beast Elsa had become simply did not have the thought process to dodge, so focused was it on getting its hands on Gelria. But pain was but an annoyance, and the creature roared, more angry than anything else, and charged forward again. It wanted desperately to get its hand around Gelria's neck, and it reached out with long, clawed fingers, aiming for that very target.

There was another there. Monster-Elsa could smell him, remembered the prone shape under the Senshi he currently tracked. He would be an easy kill, and easy meal--but like a predator drawn to movement, and with just enough intelligence to enjoy the terror it caused, it was the one that was running that kept Elsa's attention. So he-it prowled after Gelria, snapping and snarling like a vicious, hungry animal, and launched forward to bodily slam into him. If it could get its prey pinned...yes.

Yes, that was the goal. The entire goal. A goal it was so focused on, it wasn't paying attention to its environment--and it stumbled over one of the rabbit holes in the snow, snarling as it tripped and fell. It growled in frustration at the distraction from its hunt, clawing back into a standing position, but that was precious seconds that let the magic come closer to burning away, and gave Gelria space to run.

Thank god for the strange rabbit holes. Twice now they had helped Gelria out. The first by helping him catch his prey, and now this one helping him to get the hell out of there. He had never been good at running. Even with the added boost of energy and speed and power that came with being a senshi, he had never really had the reason to run. Not like this.

But now. Even though he was out of breath, winded and tired, he ran like hell, butting all of his focus into it.

This wasn’t a fight that he wanted. He didn’t want to deal with the monster until he knew that he could, and he didn’t want to die tonight.

Or ever, if he could help it.

Gismondine was still laying in the snow, moving to draw the bunny up onto his chest and softly stroking between its ears. He hesitated and slowly sat up, watching as the psychotic cinnamon senshi ran quickly. Oh, Yu would laugh at this when he told him. Or at least, after he was done scolding Gismondine for not doing what he was told and calling for help…but help had still come, and he hadn’t died...so that was what was important, right?

His eyes fell on his would be savior and he shuddered, holding the rabbit a little closer and coughing as his throat began to really irritate him. If he died by someone...someone who seemed to be on his own side...that would just be worse, wouldn’t it?

The good news, for Gismondine, was that Elsa's magic was rapidly fading, and as it starred to stagger forward after Gelria, the monster stumble,d and fell to its hands and knees, and shrank.

And there, breathing heavily, body shaking, was Elsa, returned to his normal body. He hacked a few times as the lingering after-effects of the Senshi's attack faded, and he tried to catch his breath, the cold air stinging his ********," he gasped, and he slowly pushed himself to his feet, which was a struggle--but there was the Lieutenant, and he had to make sure he was okay. So he moved over there, but he didn't stay standing for long, sinking down to his knees.

"Sorry I'm not a very impressive rescuer. But, uh. He was lying, right? That wasn't some kind of kink scene? It didn't look like one, and you're not acting like it was, but. I sort of lost my head, seeing what he was doing, so....sorry? If it was?"

He gave a soft sigh when it seemed like the monster was back to the dark clad senshi, and Gismondine wanted to stand, wanted to go to him and do something, but then it seemed like he was coming over to him, so he simply waited, continuing to pet the rabbit with hands that only trembled a little. “No...no you...ah. You were impressive...you got him to run off so that...that’s good...you...you aren’t hurt, right? He attacked you, my Captain says that his attacks are awful…”

Quietly, the lieutenant hesitated and put the rabbit into Elsa’s arms without asking permission and stood, looking him over with a small frown. “I’m in medical school ah...you...do you turn into a monster...o-often?” The question came out as something that wasn’t quite a squeak, but wasn’t far from one.

“And no, he’s not my boyfriend or anything. I...He’s tried to kill me before this though...I...guess I should be used to it...the um. The guy who brought me in...who brought me into the Negaverse, he was trying to use me as bait for this guy to kill so ah...I suppose I’m lucky to have escaped twice! The um. The general wasn’t so lucky but...I was saved because of my captain…”

He sat back down after looking over the senshi and sighed, rubbing his neck and giving a little cough. “...I don’t want to hide my bruises again…”
