 Kiyelt 1 He had spent a week alone, deep in the heart of the wetest Matorian rainforest. it had been beautiful, primal and transcendent, but he had missed home. He tracked his wife by the scent of jasmine and cedar, as well as the haphazard trail of youngling sized clothes that were abandoned across the back deck. Must have been a rough bathtime. Sure enough, Nin was passed out. He picked her up and brought her to the front room. her hair dangled like a lovely teal waterfall. He smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling with mirth. She had his heart in the palm of her hands. He laid her gently on the bed and kissed her slowly until her lovely orange eyes slitted open. "hi there gorgeous, sorry for leaving you to the little monsters for slo long, but I got the job done. I'm home for good. Don't let me leave for at least two months." He twirled a lock of her hair around his finger.

 Ninaeleth 1 Nin sighed deeply with relief and joy. Her husband was the wildest thing out there, she was pretty sure. But it still made her relieved that he was back. "Hello yourself, next time don't take so long, they outnumber me three to one, or have you forgotten how many small hellions I bore you. Though Honi doesn't really count." She pulled her hair away from him, her eyes blazed orange fire as she smiled and turned into the night. "Hope you are not too tired to catch me then, Beast Master." She giggled and ran wildly into the night, feeling the light as fast as was possible and melting seemlessly into her environment. Point to the woman, she smiled and calmed her breathing. He would find her , she was sure, but he would have to work at it a little. If anything her kids and made her even more clever. Kiyelt had missed a week of intense training. She would take the advantage.

He moaned after her. He should have known she would not make it easy. He had been tired, but bet was just not the same without her in it. He grinned showing a few too many teeth. The hunt was on! The wind picked up as if at her command. He howled theatrically and laughed when his janarim answered. Using sky could be cheating. No this had to be fair. he leapt out into the night to search for her. It was her favorite time of year, storms and sunlight.
Rain began to fall but he was used to it. Still felt it as a blessing.To have so much water around, just falling freely from the sky.
He scouted around looking for her trail. Finally he found a footprint, which meant he had a direction.

She could feel him out there, searching for her. She smiled, she loved games liek this, where everything ended in fun. He may be older than her, but he liked the games as much as she did. The trees swayed harder behind her, hmm. Ihf this got any worse they would have to call off the game.
Almost as soon as she thought that, the storm settled and all became calm. Rats there went her cover. he would find her soon now.
She huffed, well, if this was how it was going to be, maybe she should sneak up on him. It woulld be good practice for all.
She peeked out from under her bush but did not see him nearby.
She crept around to the other side of the tree. She was being as quiet as possible. She had been practicing on her kids. Thallassa liked to read late and that meant she had to sneak up on him once in a while. She was getting really good.

Finally after much searching and wandering and muddy print tracing, he found her in her hiding place wherupon she started to giggle.
“Well you have certainly grown very talented, you haven't been playing extreme hide and seek with the children have you?” He snickered quietly while she tried to look innocent.
She must have been here most of the time just watching him trace back and forth, checking out the more likely flower beds where it would be easier to hide. She must have scuttled around the tree when he got close and she had done it all in complete silence.
“Ah now I claim my prize.”

“Your prize? Am I just game?” She waggled her eyebrows as she said it, meaning that she didn't mind being the goal as long as she got the prize too.
They were staring intently at each other when the storm finally broke and drenched them unceremoniously even with the trees assisting with cover. It was not enough.
“Well, I thought that had passed, more fool us.” She smiled, Kiyelt looked really good wet.
She settled up against a tree that had better cover and tugged him down with her, they could see the house from here. It's warm glow highlighted the rain falling in the foreground with such a cozy feeling of peace. She loved doing this. Knowing there were three little babies in there, probably chatting while mom and dad were out of the room. Brats.

Kiyelt settled in behind her so that he could keep her warm and take the brunt of the rough bark on his own back. She curled up on his frame and he wrapped them both in his fur.
“Its so quiet and peaceful, they must be sleeping.” When they really got going they could wake the whole damn neighborhood with their yelling. “I missed them so much on the road. Eh, I don't think I will take another contract like that for a long time, I get good money closer by anyway.”
“Do you think its too soon to try again? For kids I mean?” He wanted a completely full house and to be covered in his kids. The ultimate Dad. But he needed Mom to be on board.

“Well, you have a point, if we wait too long the age gap will be too much, or they might escape before they get to really help with the kids. But, I do not relish another round of diapers.” Three kids had meant constant changing. It was so much better now that they had moved past that stage. They were growing so fast it made her little heart expand to think about it. Soon they would be prentices and would be trying to find out where they fit in the world. It had taken her and her sister a decently long time to figure out what they wanted to do.
But when she did find it, it fit her like a glove. She really really wanted to know what Kina would do.
She was a perfectionist and whatever she chose would be done really well.

“See this is why its good to start again now.” She hadn't turned him down, which meant there was good things in his future. He personally loved doting on her while she was pregnant. He would run out in the middle of the night and chop fresh coconuts out of trees, night fish, or beg the late market for greasy treats for her. Then he would eat some too, you know, in support.
He loved holding his babies too, he was a devoted Dad and he took as much pressure off of her as he could. For the most part he had a really good work/life balance.
“Besides the sooner we start round 2 the sooner you can return to your precious practice. Remember travel? We can do that again. This time with the whole kit and kaboodle.”

“Now, now?” She looked about aghast at the rain, which was not a romantic drizzle it was soul drenching downpour. She personally had no problems being outside but she preffered more comfortable places than this, when their kids could wake up and start disturbing the neighborhood at any moment.
She firmed herself closer to him to absorb more of his heat. He was always warmer than her and she loved it, he was like her own personal heater, enough that she did not fear the bite of Zena as long as Kiyelt was with her.
This fur of his was amazing.

“Well, it is a bit wet and squealchy right now so, no?” He grinned down at her in the night as she curled tighter to him. They would go inside soon, but for now it wasn't so bad. It was a warm summer so that was all to the good for them.
He sighed in pure contentment, he loved this woman, he loved his children, he loved his whole life. There were perks to being advanced in your career and experienced in the world. Though he had never liked Jauhar, too humid, no wind.
Oba had been too dry, Matori however, was nigh on perfection.
He moved his knees and disturbed his wife a bit.

She whined at him for moving, knowing it would make him smile, and he had the most beautiful smile.
“No, not now, but soon.” She felt that it was time again to start planning and thinking about when they wanted the new baby to be born. It was a lot of work but she enjoyed pregnancy, though not labour.
Feeling the babies move had been one of the coolest things, like a secret that only she knew. Though far along in the pregnancy she vaguely remembered being exhausted and cranky but then the babies had been born and she had been to busy to be cranky.
Then there were all the small milestones that they celebrated wholeheartedly.

“At least we know what to expect now.” They had definitely not been as prepared as they had thought, and it was all hands on deck chaos for about 3 years, then around four and five it got better and they were able to breath around 7. Soon they would be prentices and mostly self sufficient but needing guidance which was better than the feeding; burping; napping; diaper changing, spittle wiping marathon that was child rearing. There was something so magical about children. Beautiful creatures of joy, light and laughter. They reminded him why he was alive and what it meant to truly live. Kids went at everything they did with a whole heart. Something adults would do well to remember.

“Yeah, chaos and calamity.” She grinned. “But you know I wouldn't trade those kids for anything. They have taken over my life but I give it willingly, they are my everything.” She loved each individually, and as a group. They were awesome kids. Troublesome, but only occassionaly.
She was proud of the way they worked together when they chose to. They didn't fight alot but when they did it got so loud.
“Do you think they know right now that we are talking about them?” She eyed the house suspiciously.

“We at least will have help this time. They will be old enough to babysit should we need it. Now it will be five to however many we have next time as opposed to three against two.” He waggled his eyebrows at her. That was really reasuring. One was never ready for the first child. Ever.
But everday he thanked Bergchi for the blessings she bestowed on him. And he wanted more. Having kids was the absolute best part of his life, he was never lonely now that he had his family.
Nin had absolutely changed his life and all for the better.
“I think Thallassa might know, but thats because he is so in tune with you.”
