There was a tiny lake in the park that Ogygia had decided was her favorite place to come and think. Something about the reflection of the stars helped to calm her when she was feeling agitated. It also got her to thinking that she was really going to have to figure out a way to add a proper water feature to the backyard at home. Not having to tramp to to the park in winter just to sit by some water would be nice.

With a sigh, she put down the blanket she'd brought along and plunked down. This time, her sigh was pure contentment.

The night was so clear that looking at the reflections in the water made it seems as if she was floating in a bowlfull of stars. And she honestly dug it.

While cold wasn't something that she actually thought much of when powered up it seemed strange enough not to be concerned with it. Strange to the point where the Page of Cosmos had pulled a warm, lined velvet cloak out of her trunk filled with bits and pieces of renfaire costuming to wear over her 'uniform'. It was a dark, rich midnight blue in color on the outside, patterned with knotwork on the inside that remained hidden as long as she kept it closed. It made her feel warmer, at least in the sense that the weight of it was a comfort as the frosted grass crunched beneath her boots. It made her feel more like she should be out and about on a crisp near-winter evening.

On the edge of her awareness she could sense someone else nearby, gravitating towards it. There was a strange sort of familiarity to it -- like calling to like, perhaps. Another knight? Not someone aligned with darkness, at least.

Not that she would know. Not that she'd been around to figure out the difference. Shirking her 'duties' and taking off on an adventure seemed much more her 'thing' these days...

"Hello out there!"

Jumping a little at the soft call, Ogygia belatedly realized that another knight was close by. Good thing it hadn't been a negaverse officer, she thought. They could have had me sliced and diced before I noticed they were there!

"Hello," she called back. "I'm over here!"

As far as she was concerned, meeting another knight would be terribly educational. Though, who was she kidding? She cared less about educational and far more about interesting stories and pleasant potential friends.

Shoving herself into a sitting position, she fixed the blanket and worried a little at what the other might think seeing her sitting and day-dreaming.

The pale haired young woman followed the sound of the other voice, using it along with the feeling of the warmer presence. She smiled when the other came into view, glad that she'd at least been correct in assuming that it was another knight -- at least judging by appearances. There wasn't a tiny, pleated skirt or striped collar, no excess of bows or any of the perceived arrogance that came along with it.

She thought such things as though she had really met many senshi...

"Greetings and salutations! Does it get any colder sitting down there on the ground?" She made an idle gesture to the blanket beneath the other woman, the act of doing so opening her cloak enough for the sheen of her white uniform to shine through as it peeked out from beneath the dark velvet. A flash of rainbow accompanied the white, making it seem as though the two might have even more in common than just being out and about for the evening.

"My mind says I should be cold. Whatever magic brings about the wardrobe change seems to have other ideas, though... Odd, isn't it?"

For the briefest of breaths, the dark cloak sent a thrill of alarm up Ogygia's spine. At least until common sense reasserted itself and reminded her that no Negaverse officer had a sparkling clean feeling aura. So whoever this girl was, she wasn't an enemy, but probably just warding off any chills.

Smiling and giving a tiny wave, she answered earnestly, "Hello to you too! And sometimes? The ground could leech warmth pretty quick if I wasn't powered up. Mostly it's to keep me from sitting directly in muddy snow while I stargaze."

She had caught a flash of white and rainbow and felt her smile deepen. She hadn't encountered many other Cosmos knights, so it was nice to see what amounted to a sister-in-arms.

"Looks like we're both Cosmos kids," she said cheerfully. "I'm Ogygia. And seriously? The Cold But Not thing is so weird. Maybe not the weirdest thing about this whole knight thing, though."

"It's weird enough that I went digging through an old chest of garb to find a cloak I haven't worn in ages because I thought it would match better while being less suspicious than a bomber jacket over this elaborate costume." She was grinning, although it took her a moment to realize that the other woman might not be able to see her do so. Reaching up, she tugged the edge of the lacy mask down so it sat under her chin like a turtleneck. It was far more useful when she was trying to hide her face and she didn't feel like she needed that additional air of mystery for the moment.

"Brocéliande-- Bit of a mouthful, but it seems like a fair amount of our names are. Cosmos is marked by blinding white and a dash of rainbow?" She asked after taking a quick moment to note the things their appearances had in common. "I don't know as much as I should. I-- may have skipped down to travel the world for a bit when all of this s**t got a little too strange to wrap my head around. No regrets, but..." Shrugging caused the cloak to open up a bit more and eventually she reached up to at least fold it back over her shoulders since she didn't really need it to stay warm.

"The sky really is beautiful tonight."

"See, now that is some decent critical thinking," Ogygia said with a chuckle. "I would have just gone for the bomber jacket without thinking because it was easier. Cloak looks lovely and fancy though."

Perhaps she was just a little jealousy of the cloak and how elegant Brocéliande looked and sounded. But she didn't let the feeling persist for very long. She was fancy enough in her own way.

"I dunno, I like your name. It sounds very fairy-tale. And yep! White, rainbow and loads of stars. And in most cases, nigh impossible to fight in from what I've heard. So I guess I lucked out there," she continued, indicating her fancy, yet practical pants. Thank goodness for pants. She had a horror of being magically forced into something that restricted her movement.

"Ugh, where are my manners... Come sit! Plenty of room on the blanket for two."

She patted the blanket and even scooched over a bit to make more room. Ogygia was curious and wanted to talk more.

"Don't feel bad about travelling the world. When I became a knight I spent months not powering up."

Of course, those months had been spent healing up from some pretty horrific things combined with being purified by someone she suspected might be the most powerful person in the universe. She'd had good reasons to avoid powering up. But Brocéliande didn't need to know any of that just yet.

"So tell me some of the places you visited."

"My bomber jacket is pretty recognizable. I havent tested the limits of these super powers enough to know whether or not someone would be able to remember me wearing it. This cloak, though? Lovely and fancy as it may seem, it was definitely mass-produced -- probably overseas somewhere. I know a lot of people have picked them up which means I could be anyone." Her grin broadened, a bit of mischief dancing through her eyes.

It was likely a good thing that she couldn't read the other woman's mind. Elegance was about as far from true as possible when it came to who she really was under the glamor. She was loud, often obnoxious, filled with sass and more than a few bad ideas and less than perfect intentions. She'd been a 'party girl' and she knew how to bend things to her whim when need be. That she looked a part so different was something she would have laughed to hear, all in all.

The page of Cosmos was careful as she stepped around the blanket, sweeping her cloak out behind her as she carefully settle down onto it. "When I say 'travel the world' what I really mean is that we didn't make it much further than Europe. I was hoping for a bit of time in Japan and a little sun on the beaches in Australia, but there were too many pubs and bistros calling my name. Most of our time was spent in the UK, although we did visit Paris and there was a weekend in Amsterdam."

Hrmm, that was a fair point, all things considered. Ogygia hadn't done much testing on the glamour either and it'd be more than a shame if someone from her officer days sussed out who she was because of a stupid jacket.

"Good point. I don't know how far the magic extends either, but if it can keep people from recognizing things like piercings and tattoos, I would hope it'd extend itself to the occasional coat in the middle of winter. But I'm not a magical fuku fairy, so what do I know?"

She sat and listened as the other girl expressed her regrets over not reaching all of the spots she'd wanted and allowed her mind to be boggled. She hadn't even made it as far as the next state over. To speak so glibly of the bistros and pubs of Europe was crazy.

"But think of all the honkin' big spiders you avoided by missing out on Australia," she said with quiet mischief. "Or the honkin' great wasps I hear they have in parts of Japan. I know I'd prefer to avoid insects the size of corgis."

UK and Paris sounded fairly typical for a jaunt across the pong, Ogygia considered. But wasn't Amsterdam like... the city to visit when you wanted to experience all the hedonisms? She was going to have to think about changing up her initial impressions of Miss Broceliande here.

"What did you like best about Paris?" she asked, deciding that this was, by far, the safest question she could ask.

"Hm..." She thought on that question for a moment or two, leaning back on her hands to peer up at the stars. The action saw her hair cascade down along her back, spilling in gentle waves of silvery blue. It seemed even brighter against the dark background of the cloak that lay draped over her shoulders -- she was due for a trim, as an afterthought, but none of that had really seemed to matter while traveling.

"Honestly? Getting lost in the Louvre during the day, wandering for hours and feeling like a part of something greater. At night, though?" Her brow lofted as she tipped her head to glance at the other woman. "The lights. The city itself at night. It makes me wish I'd been old enough to appreciate the night life here properly before everything started to get strange."

She honestly couldn't remember a time when she hadn't been trying to run as far away from Destiny City as possible since growing up. Something always brought her back, though... She was going to start blaming the magic.

"You've got a fair point on the spiders. Granted, I don't know how many of those enjoy sunning themselves on the beach. Something I'll have to look up before taking a trip down under." ANother grin and she was leaning back again, eyes skyward once more. "Other than life, the universe and everything, what are you pondering out here tonight?"
