Honi couldn't help stopping to eye up a little candy stall at the market. She had never seen it before, and the two boys trying to sell the treats looked pleasant and happy. Each sale they made seemed to make them even happier, too! One of the boys noticed the attention and was whispering to his companion excitedly. She wanted to help them be happy! "Kina, can we get something from them?" she asked, pointing to the stall.

"Oh, yeah! I bet Thal will like something!" Grinning excitedly, she hurried over to the stall. The little dishes held various bite-sized squares, most of them in chocolate-looking flavors. "Hi! What are you selling?"

The shorter of the boys grinned and leaned forward. "Well, only the best cream sweets a pair of pretty ladies like you could want. I bet we've got something here that you'll like. Chocolate with nuts, berries, extra chocolate, dried fruits... Anything catching your eyes?"

Honi's lips pressed with concentration, looking over each little square. "I want that one with the nuts." She gave the rest a look and smiled. "And the berries for Thal." She looked to Kina playfully before focusing on the boys. "Two of each, please! The dried fruit ones, the berry ones, and the ones with the nuts."

The boys stated a price as they packed up the treats. "Now, you ladies be sure to wait until you get home to eat these," one said with a wink. "They'll taste better after sitting longer."

It was a curious suggestion to her, but she wasn't the one making the treats. Honestly, the anticipation made her all the more excited to try them! Looking up at Kina's offer, she grinned playfully and pointed to a couple squares with what looked like extra chocolate drizzled over the top. "Those, too! I won't be able to wait until we get all the way home, so we can eat those now!"

The boys smirked at each other. "Nah nah, the rules are waiting to eat them. If you eat it right now, it won't be as good." He hovered his hand tauntingly over the squares. "Well?"

Honi pouted slightly. She didn't want to wait that long! "I want them," she said with a sigh of resignation. She had already gotten herself excited for them... but how disappointing!

The boy seemed to relax and packed up the other treats. "Okay, there ya go!"

"Thank you!" Honi kept that package separate and hurried on ahead, fingers already unwrapping the treats. She wasn't about to wait until she was home, but at least out of sight would be okay!

Ducking around a corner, Honi waited for Kina to catch up and gave her sister a mischievous grin. "No. I wanna try these!" Popping the wrapping open, she plucked out a square and tossed in into her mouth while holding out the other for Kina.

Her whole body went still though, eyes widening with shock. It was chocolate, but.. it burned like a hot pepper! Already, her eyes were watering sharply. "K-Kina," she attempted to warn with a gasp, flapping her hands as though to fan her face from the heat.

Her cheeks flushed hot from the heat of the candy and the heat of embarrassment. She didn't want to spit.. but it was so hot! "Bleah!" Glaring at the chocolate now on the ground, she quickly gulped at the drink Kina handed her. It took a moment for her eyes to clear enough to realize Kina had been saved from the worst of it, and was immensely relieved.

Wait, would the other chocolates be like this? "That.. was.. so.. mean!" she gasped out, marching down the road with every intention of yelling at the sneaky boys. When she rounded the corner though, the boys were already running in the opposite direction. "Kinaaaa!" she whined, tongue hanging out like a puppy while her mouth continued to cool. They'd gotten away with it!
