Prompt 3: Trees stretch in every direction, tall and dark and full of unfriendly shadows. Nothing about the area seems safe, and there is a darkness in the forest. If you travel into the forest, you will find that no matter what path you take, the village is always within sight behind you. Any direction, any distance, any time you spend--the village will always be within sight. There is no barrier to stop you, just a strange, infinitely looping forest. Within the forest you find no recognizable trees or landmarks.
Thierry is out in the woods exploring them. He hadn't intended to go by himself, but after the food incident, he was concerned Glen may not be too keen on the idea he was a cat, who was human right now, and couldn't transform back, which actually really sucked because he missed all the fur, the hair just wouldn't substitute for that warmth. So, he had decided to give his new human friend some time to calm down, or at least, that was the plan when Thierry entered the woods. he walked in them, noting that the trees looked sturdy and thick, and that he'd never seen much like them before he thought, and he really had only seen a few trees, so he didn't have much to go on, but these did give off a certain feeling, one a bit like anxiety. He walked on, making sure his boots were okay and not snagged, or damaged by the forest floor, and they were not, which was also pretty odd. When he took advantage of this brief period of humanness, he tended to get nicked and scratched by the debris and plants, yet here he wasn't at all, in fact, he hadn't really run into any resistance. "This forest is just getting weird." He murmured, looking around. As he did so he did a double take, as he could still see the village, despite walking pretty far in. If he were a cat still, his ears would be down in apprehension and stress. That just wasn't right at all, the village should be way far away. He decided to experiment, and headed left from his straight path, and sure enough, he emerged in the village not long after. Thierry shivered, ducking back into the forest. He wondered if he could make landmarks, to show he was just imagining it, that perhaps he hadn't went far at all. And so finding a rock, he set to work making thin scrapes along the trees,,, and gently nudging rocks with his foot just a bit to the right or left, he did this for awhile, until he stopped, turning around after he felt a slightly ominous feeling, only to see that his markers were seemingly gone. Okay, now he was freaked out, he wanted to go back. But with dread, he realized he was pretty far in the forest now, and couldn't see a single identifying mark of where to go. Now, the rational part of him knew that all he should do is just walk, but this forest had really freaked him out, and as such ran around in circles for several minutes, until he finally just stopped, laying on the ground dramatically, whining a bit as he was by himself, until he finally sat up, calming down. "Right, right. We;ve assumed if we just walk, i'll be back in the village, simple." And with that, he got up, walking until he finally emerged from the woods, heading back to the temporary lodgings he and Glen shared for now, deciding if asked, to just say he took a walk around the building. That flew out the window once he bumped right into Glen.
