[ In this world event, your character is either making, purchasing, or sharing a treat. What is the treat they pick out? Who do they give it to, or receive it from? Explore the food options and sharing it with others in this world event. Roleplay it out and celebrate the sweet side of this holiday season! ] Today was one of those special days where Nayyara had no lessons and was permitted to visit 'aunty Pyrrah'. Her mother pushed her off with a firm reminder to be good until she returned. When was Nayyara ever not good when she was with Pyrrah. The Elarian was so different than the others on the isle, which meant that Nayyara always had something exciting to do or learn when she was with her. It resulted in her being a little strange, but she loved it because it was so fun and new.
Rushing toward Pyrrah's hut on the other side of the village, she often wondered why the woman never moved closer. She loved living with her grandmothers and other aunt, and wished that Pyrrah was closer so she could see her every day.
"Rah rah, are you there? It's me, Nayyara!" She called out as she approached the small clearing, taking a moment to look around the space to see if she could spy anything new.

It was a rare day indeed that Pyrrha wasn't hip deep in muck experiencing all she could of her wonderous new world. She'd spent so much time around the village since Nayyara's blooming that her lengthy solo treks had sort of become a secondary priority. Of course she still went, but it was such a treat to see all of the new little ones that she didn't want to miss a moment of it. And staying close also meant her chances of seeing Kanika were increased which, in all honesty, wasn't such a bad bonus.
Still, it didn't mean she wasn't trying to stay connected to the natural world around her. By the time she heard her nickname being called Pyrrha was just out of sight beside her hut, sitting atop a makeshift wooden seat, stripping some roots for a stew. Naturally, as soon as she heard her niece calling her antennae perked happily and she called, "I'm over here, little bloom! I wonder, can you find me?"

Nayarra looked closely at the strange creatures hanging from the drying rack, curious but recognizing a few from when Pyrrha cooked them or left them as a treat. She leaned back and her head swiveled when she heard her aunt from afar. Smiling, she moved closer before calling back.
"Somewhere in the woods, I'm suuure!" she sang a bit, rushing back around through the wellworn path as her light feet got covered in the soft soil of their island. It wasn't tropical as the swamp, but still this place always seemed to be a little damp. They were in the riverlands, afterall.
Circling the hut, she saw her tall aunt on the wooden seat and ran quickly to settle down next to her.
"Found you, Rah rah."

Seeing the little Elidae come bounding up the path put a smile on Pyrrha's face. It was crazy to think of how much time had already passed since she'd bloomed. How long ago was it that her mother had been blessed? It seemed like only a moon ago!
As the little one settled at her side, Pyrrha set her knife and the remaining roots off to the side in a well worn basket. She should have replaced it years ago, but like most things, she simply made her own 'adjustments'. The holes had been paced by threading strips of ribbon through the weaving, just as her riverland friends had taught her. So, now, it was just as unique as she was and even held a little secret.
"You always know just where to find me." She reached over to give her niece a hearty hug, snuggling as close to the child as she would allow. "I was hoping you would; I have a present for you, after all."

The young Elidae was playing with the Elaria's skirt, marveling once more at the unique attire the elder had. Often, Nayyara would imagine that a whole tribe of Pyrrahs lived across the sea, a unique group so different than the ones around her. She was quite the dreamer, and couldn't wait until she was older so she could explore the world on her own and see it with her own two eyes.
Her thoughts were cut off when Pyrrah said she had a gift, and the small girl's smile grew.
"A gift? You always give the BEST gifts. Do I get it right now?"

"Maybe". The elarian teased. She sat back, and looked at the child as seriously as Pyrrha could. There was still an air of mysticism about her, like her mind was constantly skirting the clouds, but over the years she'd become somewhat more 'grounded'. What wonders positive reinforcement could do.
"First I want you to tell me if you've been a good girl, and don't lie. You know I'll find out if you do." Not that she would ever take away any gift she'd given, anyway. Pyrrha just didn't have the heart. Still, a little half-hearted threat would help her to choose honesty. "The trees see all."

Her smile immediately turned into a pout as she crossed her arms. She loved spending time with Pyrrah because it meant she wasn't in lessons or worried about the dangers while exploring. She could just be playful and curious and Pyrrah always was patient with her. Nayarra felt loved and secure when she was with her.
Her pout disappeared as she nodded quickly, "Of course. I've been good traveling with momma. I help with the hunting and stay hidden right away when asked. You know I have to be good if I want to explore Tendaji when I'm older!"
She paused a moment, before looking around and leaning in, "What are the trees saying?"

Thank goodness. She didn't expect anything less given the girl's mother, but Pyrrha knew how chaotic children could be. Sometimes even the best behaved could toss out a wild card, but honestly, she loved that the most about them. It was a little spark of magic the goddess had given to them personally. Still, it wasn't likely to help her if she traveled so hearing she was listening made Pyrrha smile.
Leaning in close, she whispered into Nayyara's ear, "They say you're telling the truth and that if I don't hurry up they'll take your treat for themselves." Grinning, she leaned back and made a half turn towards her basket. Digging around for a moment, the elaria found a small bundle wrapped in blue cloth and turned once more to hand it to the child.
Inside was a small, fluffy pastry. It was covered in a sort of cinnamon crumble with bits of local fruit mixed into the breading.

Relief spilled across Nayyara's face. She was happy that she wasn't in too much trouble. Sure, she didn't listen all the time, but she tried and that was what was important. Leaning back, she let out an excited giggle, "Yes, I deserve a treat before the trees take them away!"
She glanced to the trees, winking quite obviously as she picked up on the joke.
Turning back, her mouth opened in a wide gasp at the bundle handed her way. Ripping open the cloth, her hands were immediately sticky with the fruit and her nose filled with the smell of cinnamon.
"Yes!" She gasped out, "You always make THE BEST treats!" With a toothy grin, she pulled her fingers back and licked them to sneak a taste of the pastry, "Mmm, thank you, THANK YOU!"

"You're very welcome," She couldn't help a little laugh at her niece's excitement. She'd hoped that Nayyara would like her snack, but hadn't quite expected her to be this in love with it. "It's an old recipe, from Jauhar. My grandmother taught it to my mother and I wasn't sure if I could remember how to make it. I'm glad they turned out alright."
It was one of the happier memories Pyrrha had from her childhood. Standing around an old wooden table with her sisters, her mother at the helm showing them how to knead and spread dough. Myrcella would always get so mad when Pyrrha snuck nibbles, but eventually she'd do it too.
"There's more, back at the hut, but we have to save some. I want to give your Aunt a few and the rest are going to the offering." It may have seemed odd, but Pyrrha had a few places all across the island that she offered her prayers to the goddesses. She supposed her main duty was to Esena now, but that didn't mean she couldn't toss a few out for Aisha and Elzira, right?

Nayyara paused a moment, looking up through her lashes at the mention of the island across the sea. She heard so many stories about Yael, but few about the jungles of Jauhar. Whenever anything came up, she made sure to soak it all in.
She thought a moment as she dipped a fingertip back into the sugared drizzle to taste it again, "I've never tasted this flavor. It must be very special..." She mused softly, before blinking quickly again.
"I'm free all day, can I help you make offerings?"

"If you want. I think that would be lovely." Pyrrha gave a half twist so that she could pick up her basket and sit it on her lap. Once she was sure all of her roots and tools were tucked away the elaria stood up, offering a hand to her niece.
"We'll go to the closest one. The others are a few days out and I think your mother might not like it if I kidnapped you." Of course if she'd been given permission...Well, it's not to say she would never take Nayyara with her. It would be a chance to talk to her about the other goddesses and the different ways Pyrrha showed her affection towards them. It wasn't a common practice, but it would be nice to bond.
"When the weather turns cold I'll show you how to make some for yourself."

Nodding, she reached out to take Pyrrha's hands, the treat set to the side, "Yes, please!"
It was still early and she had plenty of time before she needed to get home. Plus, if she ate her treat now, maybe her aunt would let her have another one for helping her out.
"Oh, that would be fun! Momma mostly cooks things over the fire, since we're always traveling...maybe I can make some for her and grammy Lumi and Dala!"
Nayyara loved spending time with Pyrrah, as it always was something new and exciting she didn't get from her mother, aunts, or grandmothers. Maybe she'd even be able to talk them all into traveling the world to see the other trees. But for now, she was content to just spend time whenever she could.

"Oh, I bet they'd love them." If the recipe itself was from Jauhar it might bring back some memories for them, and hopefully they would be good ones. Of course it wouldn't be exactly the same; Pyrrha didn't have a lot of the ingredients her own mother had used in Yael and likely she'd had to tweak it herself.
With the little one's hand in her own, Pyrrha started to walk back towards her hut in search of the other treats. She wasn't sure if Aisha had sweet tooth or not, but Elzira had always enjoyed her goodies. And now that Nayyara was helping to distribute them she was sure the goddess would be pleased.
