Quote: Trees stretch in every direction, tall and dark and full of unfriendly shadows. Nothing about the area seems safe, and there is a darkness in the forest. If you travel into the forest, you will find that no matter what path you take, the village is always within sight behind you. Any direction, any distance, any time you spend--the village will always be within sight. There is no barrier to stop you, just a strange, infinitely looping forest. Within the forest you find no recognizable trees or landmarks.

Vela put down the cards she had been playing with she decided it was time to see if she could find a way out of this village. So off into the forest, she went. She looked around at the edge of the forest still unsure if this was actually a good idea or if she would be jumping into a black void if she went too far into the forest. So she hesitated at the edge of the forest looking around to see if there was anyone around who would go with her into the woods. She rubbed her face tired from everything that was going on, she had no problem with hard work, but boredom was her nightmare.

It wasn't safe for Clue to remain in this place, not that it was safe for anyone, and he needed to get them out of here. The dark mirror senshi had to find a way out of this village, he wanted to go home, he didn't like this place one bit. It felt unsafe and he'd heard noises at night - strange noises. He'd decided on housing with Clue and just Clue, not knowing anyone else, so far and he wasn't sure that was the best idea either. He needed to either get them out or make some connections so they could be safer.
Since it was daytime, and it seemed safer, he'd gone out to see if he couldn't find anything. Trust be told he didn't know what he was looking for though, and wasn't sure he'd even know if he found something useful, but as he approached the forest he spied someone else headed there. They weren't the same as him...but it was someone else and they were close enough - right?
That in mind he made his approach. "Going into the forest?" he questioned as he got close enough to them, so he didn't have to yell.

Clue grunted as he followed Itokawa outside. Not that he was against staying with the uh, "Senshi", but the bed they had to sleep in was incredibly uncomfortable, to the point where he had thought that the floor had looked more inviting. No sooner had he almost gotten to the point of sleep that they had heard and seen the silhouette of something horrendous outside at night and well... not much sleep after that. While he was fine with the amount of "sleep" that he had gotten, he still would have preferred a full amount. Still, he dutifully followed the Senshi who seemed to find someone else to talk to, and with a tired glance he looked in the direction that Itokawa had been facing and saw some orange hair walking towards them. Blinking again and he could tell it was actually a person this time. Maybe he hadn't gotten enough sleep... He decided to do a tired wave to the other to show them that he had at least seen them.

Vela looked over at the pair that seemed to be heading into the forest as well. "Yup. I don't want to stick around here forever do you?" She said looking at Itokawa and Clue. "Have you tried the food around here? Not my cup of tea." She said with a frown thinking about the things she saw after eating stewed apples from this place. It hadn't been her idea of fun at all. "Getting sleep in this village is almost impossible too, creatures attacking." She shook her head "I don't know who sent us here but they suck." She grumbled in her annoyance. "I'd like to fry them." She grumbled again.

He hadn't expected Clue to follow him, in all honestly he'd hoped the other would remain asleep, he didn't want to risk his partner with all the dangerous happenings in the village. But Itokawa didn't turn Clue away, he could never, especially now. Now that Clue knew about this life...he couldn't turn him away from the reality of it. He'd already been pulled into it - literally. Maybe mirrorspace was a place to visit one day - together.
Reaching out with a hand to Clue he flexed his fingers a few times. "Come on. I'm not leaving you behind." He'd never leave him, whether the other liked that idea or not.
"Not ours either. I'd rather not stay here as well." They had a life and an apartment, small as it was, they were working on a life together. It wasn't perfect but it was good and he was happy, he hoped Clue was as well. "I can make them dance...and dance." He answered with a bit of a smile. "You could light them up then." He didn't find sleep to be easy here either, and not just because of the poor quality beds either. The noises....they were impossible to sleep through. "I'm sure I heard a house being attacked the other night." And it had kept him up and hiding in their bedroom, though he'd wanted to peek out the window and see, he'd been scared of what he might see. He'd instead clung to Clue that night.

"Mghg food." Clue mumbled as he still tried to shake the sleep off of him. Itokawa had been terrified last night and he had spent most of it trying to calm him down. If there was one thing that he noticed about whatever the beast had been doing and the disappearances (from what he had heard) he hadn't seen too much blood. So either they must have been taken somewhere else. Still, he couldn't blame Itokawa for being terrified. If Clue had seen what his partner had seen, then he most likely would have been terrified as well. "I only wish we had tea. I think I'm going to need a lot of it once we get back, however that is." He didn't say whenever, he didn't want to think about it. Though he grinned at Itokawa's idea. "That would be interesting. I would like to see you two do that if you can. Might make the situation a bit better." It would certainly make him feel better. "But I as much as I would like to just catch up on sleep, I think it would be a good idea to see if we could explore. I've heard of others going missing, though I can't say I haven't seen anyone I know gone, but there doesn't seem to be evidence they were killed here. Which means they must be taken... somewhere else at the very least." He only felt a bit more awake, but with some exercise he was sure that he would shake the rest of it off soon.

Vela sighed as she listened to these two "I hope we can find a way out this village really sucks." She said in a soft tone. She laughed "I wish my power actually lite stuff on fire, but nope limitations of magic I guess." She said shrugging. Vela didn't know much about magic yet, she had only recently figured out she had powers at all. She nodded and then said "Yea from what I heard if you stand by a window after dark you are in danger and they attack the doors at night, it's really hard to sleep." She said with a groan. Her expression went dreamy thinking of real food. "Soda, tea, snacks... man I want to go home." She said with a sigh. She nodded "Yea I've heard that too, but I don't know anyone here in the village so no one to know they went missing. Unless Cybele goes missing met them on the first day and someone else I think." She said frowning trying to remember.

"Tea would be nice, I wouldn't mind some proper food as well." Food from home. There were a few good, authentic, Thai places in the city and he figured they could manage enough money to order a large amount of food for themselves once they got home.
"Mmm, you are right Clue. No blood or signs of death.....but missing people. I wonder what happens to them." Where they dragged someone and killed or left there? What happened....and if people were being dragged somewhere - where was that place? "If it's moving people somewhere - where?" Maybe they could find where or at least get an idea of where? He could suggest having the beast go for them...but the risk of death - of Clue being hurt or killed. He didn't like that one bit. There had to be something though...anything.
"Wish you could burn down the trees. Maybe something beyond them." Placing an arm about Clue he drew the still tired male into his side, last night had not been good.
"We need this nightmare to end."

Clue was showing his knowledge with what he said next. "It is weird that the magic that you do get wouldn't actually allow you to burn anything." It was weird that such magic didn't cause significant damage. Perhaps that was for the stage that Itokawa would be next? He thought he had heard him mention something about it, and there clearly were some in the gathering that looked much stronger and had butt wings. That was weird. "Well, we just have to make it out of here until we find a way out of...wherever this place was." He was pretty sure Itokawa didn't have any idea, but it was as though they were trapped in some sort of video game or something. He felt himself get pulled to the side and let it happen, though he was still looking around. "We might be able to find some supplies out there though. We might even be able to get some wood that we can light on fire and then light the other trees on fire." He said, grinning a bit. He was still a bit tired, destruction sounded like the easiest route right now.

Vela smiled "I like the way you think, lighting the forest on fire sounds like fun, unless this place is like a bubble space and we all die of smoke inhalation or the monster takes it as an attack and we get dragged off to who knows where the missing go." She frowned "As much as I like fire maybe we shouldn't risk it." She looked at the pair "Gathering food for cooking and stuff sounds like a good idea even if we can't get away from this blasted village." She grumbled looking back to see they still hadn't gotten anywhere. She picked up some wood to take back to the house she was staying in.

"We could try for destruction but I don't know...if it gets out of hand and goes after the houses." The houses were 9others were living right now. l And what if something was in the woods which they could use, one found, but it was destroyed. He did like the idea though, he did, he was frustrated with this situation and he didn't like the noise at night and the uncomfortable sleep and how little he was getting at times. It was a nightmare.
"It would be nice if she could make fire - easier. But I agree about making a fire here - too many risks including the homes catching it if gets out of control." And the trees did look a bit dead and dry....not good.
"Lets look for food and clues. I wish we could trust fires in the houses...they have fire places." Likely for heat and cooking. But if the beast spotted it or smelled it. Even if it had been out for hours when he arrived he might still be able to smell it, he had no idea how sensitive it's nose would be. "Clue? Food hunting and looking for clues?"

He had to shake some of the sleepyness away as Itokawa said his name twice, though eventually he realized he meant actual clues. He still sent a look the Senshi's way. "Yeah that's fine. We probably need some metal and wood and tools. Not sure if we'd find that last one here in the woods, but it looked like the other Senshi had found some wood and was walking off. He looked at Itokawa. "Well, we should find some wood ourselves. We can use it for repairing the house and for making some fire." He wasn't sure if that attracted the monster more, but the night did get cold.

Vela nodded "Yea for better or worse we are stuck here so burning down our temp home would likely be a bad idea. Lovely being trapped with you two." She said in a joking tone. She gathered some more wood and then turned to head back to the village she couldn't get away from anyway. "Alright you two, be safe and stay out of trouble, I'm going to head back and take this wood to the place I'm staying at." She said saying her goodbyes to the pair before she headed off to the village and the house she was sharing with Cybele.

"Repairs would be good. Not sure on fire...if it can smell it even once out." That might be an issue. If it had a good sense of smell or not...it might mess things up for them and get them caught, lead the beast right to their door. "Maybe if we warm the house hours before it won't smell any remains from the fire." From their chimney. It was a risk but it was one he'd take if they could be warmer at night, if the warmth could be kept inside the house. But how? The house seemed intent upon letting cold air in, it wasn't so air tight.
"Have a good night and be safe." To the corrupted he smiled as he spoke, nodding to her. She seemed nice enough and she was a sort of chaos...no reason to dislike her or distrust her.
"We will see you again soon...hopefully back in Destiny City." Once she had left he turned to his own partner. " When we get home...more blankets." That was a must, as if that would combat all the cold they'd suffered in the house here. But he wanted more blankets from now on. "For now...wood." Lots of wood, as much as they could carry, so they could work on repairs and sealing up the place. They surely could do some sealing in order to keep some more warmth in - right?
