Pokeballs come in a many different variety. They can go from the ultimately weak regular Pokeball, to the all-time ultimate Master Ball. And there are even a few that have pretty good bonuses. This list will provide each one, along with their catch rates and bonuses.

NOTE: There are Pokeballs not listed here which still could have been used to catch your current Pokemon with. Though they likely won't show up again.


Poké Ball: Catch Rate x1. No bonuses.

Great Ball: Catch Rate x1.5. No bonuses.

Ultra Ball: Catch Rate x2. No bonuses.

Safari Ball: Catch Rate x1.5. Only used in Safari Zones.

Level Ball: Catch Rate x1, x2, x4, x8. Depending on your level compared to the level of the lower leveled Pokemon, the catch rate will rise.

Lure Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x3 if used when catching Pokemon you're fishing for.

Moon Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x4 if used when catching Pokemon that evolve by Moon Stone.

Friend Ball: Catch Rate x1. Raises captured Pokemon's affection automatically to 200.

Love Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x8 if used on the opposite gender, yet same species of a Pokemon you've already caught.

Heavy Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate x-2 if used on light Pokemon, Catch Rate rises up to x10 if used on Pokemon over 900 lbs. Anything in between varies.

Fast Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x4 if used on Pokemon with a SPD. Stat above 100.

Premier Ball: Catch Rate x1. No bonuses.

Repeat Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate raises to x4 if used on already caught Pokemon.

Timer Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x4 if battle takes up to ten turns.

Nest Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises depending on Pokemon's level and health.

Net Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x3 if used on Bug and Water Type Pokemon.

Dive Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x3.5 if used underwater.

Luxury Ball: Catch Rate x1. Pokemon caught with this ball will become easier to make friends with.

Heal Ball: Catch Rate x1. Completely heals caught Pokemon.

Quick Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate is x5 if used on first turn. Any turn after that, it's lowered to x1.

Dusk Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x3.5 if used in caves or at night.

Dream Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x4 if used on a sleeping Pokemon.

Crystal Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x3 if used on a Pokemon made of rock/stone/crystal/etc.

Gold Ball: Catch Rate x1. Catch Rate rises to x6 if used on a Shiny Pokemon.

Beast Ball: Catch Rate x0.1. Catch Rate rises to x5 if used on an Ultra Beast.

Master Ball: Catch Rate x255. Catches any Pokemon (almost) without fail.

Extra Special Pokeballs

DNA Ball - A special Pokeball created with only one purpose; to be used to capture Deoxys. Only two exist in the world.

GS Ball - A very special Pokeball with no known purpose by anyone.
