Trees stretch in every direction, tall and dark and full of unfriendly shadows. Nothing about the area seems safe, and there is a darkness in the forest. If you travel into the forest, you will find that no matter what path you take, the village is always within sight behind you. Any direction, any distance, any time you spend--the village will always be within sight. There is no barrier to stop you, just a strange, infinitely looping forest. Within the forest you find no recognizable trees or landmarks.
Varda stretched her legs, then her arms, then whatever else she needed to before she decided to start exploring. Somehow she had managed to survive this whole time and hadn't had the chance to explore yet. But the home that she was currently squatting in was repaired and she didn't appear to have any other tasks that needed to be done at the time. So what better thing to do than to go and try and find what she could in the forest?
It was a little intimidating to go by herself. After all, there was that monster wandering about though it only seemed to come out at night. And of course this place, wherever this was, whenever this was, was quite different from their own. She couldn't tell if it was because she was relatively new or it was just different, but somehow it didn't follow the same rules of Earth. And that was intimidating.
Still, she needed to do something other than twiddling her thumbs and wait for nighttime to come, and after she was done stretching, she found herself wandering towards the woods, until she caught sight of... someone. She couldn't really tell who they were at this point or what "side" they were on. They looked to be in the same style as she was, but one never knew. But she figured it wouldn't hurt to go and talk to them, and yelled out "Hey!" She waved when she could see that she had caught their attention and then ran up to them, and could tell that they turned out to be a guy at least. "You going to look explore the forest as well?"
