Age: 24
Birthday: September 25
Sign: Libra
Gemstone: Sapphire
Blood Type: B+
Fav. Food: So far, it’s sushi.
Hated Food: Diana is getting a bit tired of cheap sweets.
Occupation: Works part time at a customer service call center, and also occasionally sells pelts and other hunting spoils under the table.
Hobbies:
Primitive Weapons Hunting- Hunting seemed like the most obvious thing to look into, given the circumstances, and after a bit of experimentation, Diana found that she had far more muscle memory with a bow than with a gun. She’s also found that she quite enjoys the puzzle of tracking, the peace that often comes with waiting for prey to show up, and the thrill of taking that shot. She primarily hunts deer since she’s heard that they’re overpopulated, although she isn’t the strictest about following hunting laws. Any meat that she can’t eat herself goes to friends or food pantries, and she occasionally sells furs to make a bit of extra spending money.
Animals- Diana loves animals. She pampers them and croons over them and pets them until their owners politely shove her away. When alone with them, it's not uncommon for her to talk to them, often as if they can really understand her. Cats have sparked her most recent interest in animals, as cat food isn’t so expensive, and she’s learned that a few cans set out in an alleyway are enough to attract entire communities of them, including a few that are friendly enough that she can pet them. After researching this a bit, Diana learned about trap-neuter-release charities that aim to reduce the number of kittens being born on the streets, while socializing those that are at risk of becoming feral. She’s looking into volunteering with them.
Small-Scale Theater- Diana found her old social media pages easily enough. She knows that she used to be an actress who lived and breathed the theater. There’s some disconnect there these days. It doesn’t feel as natural as the hunting, but in an attempt to feel a little more like a real person, she’s decided to look back into it. She’s found she likes attending plays, and she’ll occasionally even go audition for short plays at the community level, ones that are on the lower level of necessary time commitment. She still has a knack for acting and does well on the small scale, but she hesitates to try to break back into anything full length, let alone professional. At this point, it’s enough for her to have some small sense of community and something to do with her free time.
Virtues:
Polite- Diana has a firm grasp of basic social skills, and she leans on them heavily when navigating conversations. There’s always a warm smile on her face. She never interrupts people. She has learned that there is a time to talk and a time when the best course of action is simply to listen. She says things like “Please” and “Thank you,” and she seems to mean them. This goes beyond etiquette and manners. Diana does her best to be sweet, pleasant, and agreeable when around those who she is supposed to please.
Detached- It's undeniable that there's part of Diana that isn't quite there, but that isn't all bad. Things that would bother most other people don't phase her at all, and she can navigate unpleasant situations with a detached calm that makes often makes her very effective at her tasks. She can deal with angry customers for hours on end. She can gut deer. She can take starseeds. This isn't a case of her bottling things up or putting on a brave face, either. Things just don't feel real or important enough to effect her. Also, since she's already taken a step back from most situations, she can be good for giving advice that's not overly sullied with emotion.
Committed- Diana never lost her work ethic. She takes her commitments seriously. She's a hard worker, as she enjoys success in any field that she's dipped her toes into, and she's willing to do what she needs to do to in order to get to that point. She's the type to always show up when she's expected, keeps cordial with colleagues, and most importantly is willing to pull all nighters or to fight and bleed in order to reach her goals. She will stick with her tasks even if they become unnecessary or dangerous.
Flaws:
Detached- There's something about Diana that isn't quite there. It's not always immediately obvious, with the perfect manners and the muscle memory from a lifetime of stage presence. She knows how a person should act, but underneath that surface level it all falls apart. She has a made-up name and as many memories as a toddler and she knows it, which makes it hard to feel like a real person. This, in turn, makes it hard for her to care about things. In work situations, she's steady, but rarely passionate. In conversation, she's polite, but if someone spends enough time around her, it becomes increasingly obvious that she doesn't care about their day, or their problems. It's even harder for her to care about their interests, since the amount of culture that she's missed out on is overwhelming and she certainly can't catch up. Diana still does have some emotions and can even like people for their personalities, but the feeling of disconnect makes it difficult for her to pursue deeper relationships.
Reckless- Diana has held onto something of her ambition and her commitment to tasks, but as she doesn't feel real, she has lost a lot of what care she had for her own well being. She does not give up, back out, or run away under most circumstances. It's most noticeable when she’s in the thick of a project or a battle, and she doesn’t care if she gets run down or hurt. This means she does have a tendency to get in over her head or end up in situations where she does, in fact, end up run down or hurt. This often is not the best strategy when it comes to long term goals. Also, she is not only reckless with her own safety. She has no problem bringing others into danger with her if it means she can accomplish her task.
Ruthless- If Diana is detached around her colleagues, she doesn't have any sympathy at all for the feelings of her enemies. She actually gets an odd satisfaction out of seeing them squirm. This can take many forms. She will write strongly worded emails or send passive aggressive texts. She'll ghost people who she has decided she dislikes with no remorse at all. However, there is also a side to this that is even less restrained. She will take starseeds. She will fight. She will hunt down human beings with the intention to maim and kill, and when she finds her prey, she is merciless.
