It was safe to say that a cat eating out of a takeaway box would generally not be considered unusual in a more downtrodden neighbourhood. However this Ragdoll cat looked far from homeless and given she had taken up residence on a bench in the park with her meal, she looked a little out of sorts. She had at least picked an area that wasn't quite so easy to spot, but that still didn't stop her from idly picking through her box as she considered which element to dine on first.
A fork lay to the side, nestled against the opened lid as she continued to ponder over what was arguably the most important decision of her day.
You see, Namielle had a blog and in that blog she reviewed food. Her most recent articles had been around hidden gems, little holes in the wall that people wouldn't be aware of unless they were local. Her followers had been enthusiastic when she announced this particular project, and since she had indicated that she was looking for suggestions, the feline' inbox had been flooded with suggestions.
This evening she had selected one from the top of the list and from it she had acquired some type of Asian food she wasn't entirely familiar with. Fortunately nothing dramatic had occurred upon her visit to pick her take out up as she was going to need all of her spare time to muse over how some of it was even supposed to be eaten. Yep, it was safe to say that the Ragdoll was ever so grateful that nothing dramatic had happened and demanded that she intervene in some chaotic event. The last two times she'd wandered out of the house she'd ended up awakening unfortunate souls to fight in the endless war... and one of them had almost lost his heart!
...Well not really.
But for the record, that Negaverse agent had not been kind to the locals and the casualties were unwarranted.
It was with a small whistle that she finally picked up her fork in both paws and began to twirl it around some of the noodles. She could start off easy and address the parts of it that she did know how to eat first. After that, she'd work on the more complex stuff.
It was only when she began to munch on the noodles that it dawned on her that perhaps she should find a way to plug some of this world's apps into her little communicator. If she did, then at the very least she could always google how some of this stuff was meant to be consumed, right?
Food for thought.
For now though, food for belly was the higher priority...Kaefaux We can use this one for when they're meeting and musing over ideas! Next one can be when she comes back to the house. <3

A long yawn had her jaw pop slightly. Realta stretched her back, arching it sharply upwards before she stretched forward, extending her claws into the bark of the thick, broken branch she'd taken up residence on. Since it fell in a recent storm, a large portion of sunlight was able to cut through the canopy overhead. Gracing her with a lovely spot to not only sharpen her claws, but sunbathe for an extended period without being bothered by random walkers, joggers, and canines that people were idiotic enough to let off their leads.
She could watch plenty of folks as they went about their business through the park, though. That she enjoyed immensely. She'd lazily watched joggers, and nannies pushing along their prams and tugging along their charges. Business folks talking into Bluetooths and cellphones had been the loudest passerbys, along with a random woman who had decided to screech into her phone about wanting to speak to some poor sap's manager. Something about a delivery being wrong. Realta hadn't heard the full conversation, but it was enough to make her sympathetic to whomever was on the other end of the line.
But as the waves of people ceased for the time being, Realta could feel her stomach clenching and could hear the soft gurgles. It was time to go hunting, or if nothing else, go look pitiful to some human and get some bites off of them. It was wonderful how many helpful humans there were around in this city, and by now she had a few spots she knew to frequent especially often--and with them, what people to approach as they had the highest success rate of giving her food.
So she stretched and clawed at the branch, leaping out of the underbrush onto the pathway that winded through that part of the park. It was then that her nose began to twitch--delicate nerves caught the scent of something rather yummy nearby, and the Savannah quickly turned in the direction of the source. Never knew, it could be one of her familiar, friendly faces.
Or... not.
She'd padded silently along the path, following her nose and her ears moving about to catch any signs of potential prey or oncoming bodies that might warrant jumping off the path. Only the smell of food came to her, and... eventually, the scent of... feline? Her brows furrowed slightly as she picked up her pace, coming around a bend to find the source being an open food container... but the person sitting at it was, not human. Another... Mauvian.
"Well this is a new one," she laughed, trotting up towards the bench with the Ragdoll seated upon it with her Asian food carton. That all smelled really good... "I thought I was about to stumble upon a human I could bat lashes and purr at for a bite. Certainly didn't expect to cross paths with one of my own."
Hopping up lightly onto the far end of the bench, she sat upright, her long tail curling around her legs delicately. She kept a good distance between them, refraining from casting much of a glance towards the other's meal--that was just rude, and she'd no interest in bumming a bite off of one of her own people.
"We've not met before, I believe. I'm Realta, pleasure to make your acquaintance."

The Ragdoll paused, expression still contemplative, with fork in hand.
She hadn't been expecting company and she had originally been momentarily concerned that a human had found her, particularly when the 'new' had been heard. She was brought some small comfort from the fact that a quick check reassured her that on this occasion she had not been discovered and instead she'd come face to face with another Mauvian.
Intriguing.
"You know it's far easier to just walk into their houses, right?" she offered wryly. In fact, this was a piece of advice she had followed throughout her life, managing quite comfortably in the process. It turned out that more households were willing to accept a strain than weren't and they were especially welcoming of anything exceedingly fluffy. Admittedly this hadn't been quite the same for Regula, but in the grand scheme of things the human had simply accepted his lot in life given he already had another 'talking cat' in residence.
That particular 'owner' had gotten more than he bargained for and even she could acknowledge that his house was probably far louder, far more chaotic and a lot more lively than he had probably been accustomed to or even wanted.
"But it does seem pretty rare to run in to folks like us," she conceded and motioned with her paw for the feline to join her. In the grand scheme of things, it was so rare that it was a wasted opportunity not to socialise. Realta had been the first Mauvian she had seen outside of Orias for as long as she could remember and quite frankly, she could do with significantly more friends!
"I'm Namielle," she added and pushed her food carton into the middle.
"I'm food blogging," she explained and motioned to it. "My subscribers suggested that I try it, I was looking for 'hidden gems' for this series and this is one of them so I'm hoping it lives up to the hype."
She paused, albeit briefly.
"Were you actually in the park scavenging, is this a normal thing? I feel like if it is I could probably use it to meet more folks..."

Realta laughed outright. “You’re not wrong about that. I just enjoy my wandering, so I’ve been fortunate to find a number of humans generally like to share a little with what they think is a stray. Or at least I’ve found more agreeable sorts than those who try to shoo me away, or worse,” she added with a slightly disdainful snort.
The tip of her tail flicked.
“As it is, my girl is hesitant to try new foods without any input on what it even is, so I enjoy being a taste tester to report back things she might like.” Not that Lilith wasn’t adventurous with food when she was able, but Realta understood she felt limited at times. At least when she could offer the young woman a confirmation of taste based on what she was smelling, it seemed to make her less wary of whatever the new dish might be.
Which was part of why Namielle’s introduction included calling herself a food blogger, Realta’s ears perked up all the more. “Oh really? What’s your blog’s name? We could use some recommendations.”
A light laugh left her at the last bit. “Maybe for some? I’ve noticed a few of our colleagues enjoy their house-cat lifestyles a bit more than to accept such scavenging, but I hardly can blame them. I enjoy the exploration and hunt. A park is a good place to find random encounters, though.”

"The Cat's Eye," she waggled her brows, it wasn't the most creative name in the world but she didn't necessarily do creativity in that respect. It was in part why she would never seek to write fiction, while scenarios might be entertaining to muse over she could never finish the thought in a way that seemed to be fitting.
"Not the best title I'll admit I'm always open to rebranding, but the content is quality," she gave a reassuring nod and weapon her little noodle sticks into the box again. "I've been doing themes the last few months so if there's something she absolutely hates you can probably -" she paused briefly as it dawned on here that the feline had said something of importance.
"You live with someone you can talk to?" she asked curiously.
"I adopted one of those," she admitted and sat back. "Just walked into his house and said I'd be staying, surprisingly he didn't argue," she added.
"Is she just a very accepting human, a child who believes in magic or you know, someone who is magic?"
All were valid options after all.
"And she shouldn't feel so shy about it, not everything is as terrible as it looks, sometimes the looks are completely deceiving!"

“I’ll have to look it up then,” Realta grinned. At the very least, it could give her ideas of places she could prowl around to see if she could get some samplers... worst case, she had Lilith just read the reviews herself and order something.
Her ponderings were cut short by Nami’s surprise. Realta just blinked before she hummed and nodded. “I do.” Though her tale wasn’t as bold as her counterpart’s, making the Savannah almost cackle. “And he’s not retaliated? My that’s good fortune on your part. The young woman opened her home to me after I was living for a time on my own around the city. She’s a senshi, so she had no qualms with inviting a Mauvian in as a roommate.”
She’d been about to ask what category the man fell into, when the unintentionally ironic statement made her laugh outright. “She can only judge by smell before she takes a bite. She’s blind.” The bluntness of her words were cut, perhaps, by the warmth in which Realta referred to the young woman.

Blind? Well that posed considerable challenges to being a reliable senshi and she was sure that somewhere Athalia was ready to get on a pedestal to discuss the issues with this. Little did she know that he was well aware of who this one was and held his tongue, for good reason too!
That being said, if she was blind and they were Mauvians, them it didn't stand to reason that they probably should have sought to resolve that 'issue'so that she wasn't quite so exposed? Her lips pursed briefly and then she shook her head, simple as it was to derive pleasure from touch and sound, sometimes you just needed a little extra in her world.
...it was lost on her that the blind were accustomed to not having everything and may not even be aware of what they were missing.
"Firstly I have an idea," she pushed her food to the side and hopped down. "But you'll need to pop over to my place so we can figure it out," she added and cleared her throat.
"Secondly you can ask him that yourself if he's in, but to be honest I mostly just need the other weirdo Mauvian in the house for help. I'm pretty good with the software side of stuff but now and then I need fresh eyes on the hardware and he's fairly good at it."
"With three of us, we might have a chance of this working," she grinned. She was being vague of course but without blueprints it was hard to go in to detail.
"You can come over now if you're free?" She finished as she gathered her wits and began to move away. She could always organise for another time, but there was no time like the present. With that in mind she soon began to head in the direction of home, clucking her tongue at the beginnings of an idea in her head...

Realta quirked a brow, tail flicking in growing curiosity at the other's sudden proclamation. An idea for... for what? The Savannah followed the Ragdoll, though not before grabbing a bite from the now abandoned container of food.
It was as yummy as it smelled.
Chewing and swallowing quickly, she was licking her chops as she trotted alongside Namielle. "I'm free, so by all means, lead the way." As it was, she was curious what this sudden idea was--and her curiosity was doubly piqued hearing about a weirdo Mauvian. Well that just sounded interesting in and of itself. "This day is certainly turning out to be more interesting than I'd anticipated."
Something that, she sensed, was just going to be a continuing trend.
