Twix skipped through the bog lands. He was not happy to be here but figured he should make the best out of the stinky situation his father, Dryxel, had asked him to be in. It was colder day then normal but through the think boggy fog Twix could tell it was going to be hot and sunny soon enough. Humming happily to himself Twix worked to keep is mood joyful as he moved through the swampy mucky ground. To most others it would have seemed like he was not paying any attention but for him this was how he stayed focused. He noticed everything, he was trained well as a scout even if his ways were a little unorthodox it worked very well for him. "Twix why did we need to scout here again?" Karry asked a few paces behind Twix. Karry was not at all happy to be in the bog, after all small familiars had been known to go missing here. Heck even nouls could go missing here. Twix shook his head at his mother hen familiar. They still had yet to bond but they know they were bonded in spirit the ceremony was just that a ceremony to them at this point.
"Dryxel asked me to have a look around just to make sure no noul, familiar, or ally is out here needing help." He answered her question mater of fact like and with a loud sigh she excepted it. "Cheer up Kerry we can go to the spa after we get back to the Homewood if you like?" It was an offer but Twix had ever intention of going there himself just to get the bog smell out of his hide. Flapping her wings happily, Karry quickened her pace. Twix knew that would cheer her up.
"Why did I come here again?" Kachina wondered not for the first time as she tried to find her way out of the bog. Something in a dream she had had pulled her to the bog this morning but now she was sure she was lost. Stopping in her track Kachina was sure she had heard humming but the sound was far off and died down almost as if it knew she had stopped to lesson to it. "This place can really wing a noul out." she said to the bog around her. Starting to walk again she moved with sloshy sloggy footing. She knew that if a predictor was around she would never be able to out run them in this stuff but she had to keep moving and find her way out. "Ugh if I ever get out of this stuff I will need a week long bath." Normal Kachina did not care for spas or soaking but she would have to make a special exception this time. *Splash* *Slog* *Sloop*
Twix stopped and lessoned at the sound of a not so quite movements. "Have you ever..." Karry tried to question but Twix cute her off with a look. He was trying to identify if the sound was friend or not. Based on the movements her could tell for sure whatever was moving was not a bog creature, the movement had no grace at all. "Hello out there" Twix called into the think bog fog.
Kachina stopped dead in her tracks at the not so far off voice calling into the fog. "Hello." she called back as her voice betrayed her and cracked with some fear. Clearing her throat she tried again this time to sound more big and scary by deepening her voice "Hello. Who is out there?" If she had not been so scared she might have laughed at herself but now was not the time. Squinting into the bog fog Kachina could just make out the shadow of something moving towards her. Heart racing she was not sure what to do. After all she had already determined she would not be able to run in the muck she was in. Just has she was sure her heart would give out on her, a mostly white buck emerged for the fog. Strangely enough the sun make its way through the fog just as the buck came through so the buck had a warm sunny glow around him.
Shaking her head at the angelic looking noul the sun contained to shine backing the bog around them easier to see through. "Hello." The buck said with a devilish grin though she was sure there was not a bad bone in his body. "H...hi." she managed to say. "My name is Twix. What brings you out here?" He continued to smile happily at her as if the area and smell of the bog didn't effect him at all. "Maybe he really is an angel." Her muse drooled. "Or maybe the bog is poisoning us and we are not going to make it out alive." She scolded her muse but knew she was not die so she answered the buck "My name is Kachina. I'm not really sure. Honestly I had a feeling that I was needed here but then I got lost and the fog was hard to see through and not I'm here with you. O...or not with you with you standing here with you." She blushed at her choice of words. Twix grinned at the sweet doe she was all a cluster but he did not mind.
"So do want help out of that muck?" Twix offered to putt her out. He luckily was one should ground, well solid for the bog. "Oh no I ... can...do it." She hugged and puffed pulling her hoofs out of the muck slowly making her way over to where Twix was. A little out of breath she finally frees herself come the sticky mud. "Ugh it is going to take forever to get free of the smell." She blurts out with out think. "You could always go to the spa." Twix had been simple watching the doe the entire time. He found her cute and fascinating really. She seemed in good spirits for the most part but even if this was bad spirits he found her adorable. Watching her nod in agreement to his spa suggestion having the idea to invite her to go with home and Karry.
" Karry and I will be going there ourselves if you would like to join us." Kachina looked at Twix confused then she looked around trying to figure out who or what this Karry was. "Maybe the bog smog has gone to his head." Kachina's muse said was a concerned look at Twix. "Umm...who is Karry?" She finally voiced unable to hide the look of confusion and worry. Twix having been detracted by the doe had totally missed the fact that Karry had been very quite this hole time which was normal for the mother hen she was. Looking all around Twix began to worry for his familiar. "Karry where are you?" Heading back the way he came he looked for her. Much to his surprise Kachina followed after him which thought was sweet.
"Karry Karry come one where are you?" Twix was still trying to keep his mood to the positive but the long she did not answer then more worried he was getting. "She was just behind me." *Cough* *Cough* "Twix?" a confused and weak sounding Karry called to him. "Over here." Twix said to Kachina as they both raced over to Karry. She was laying down eyes half open but still awake. "What happened? Where did you go?" "The fog...I looked...you were gone." With that Karry passed out.
"The air it must be poisonings her." Kachina said softly to Twix. "I can help though I am a Vivifty." Coming closer to the passed out cockatrice, Kachina cleared her mind and took a few boggy smelling deep breaths. Releasing the gift of cleanse Kachina waited for the toxin within Karry to be healed. It did not take long and Karry awoke and seemed to be doing better. Clearing her throat Karry said "Ugh the only time its sunny in the bog and I wish it was not." Twix laughed and shook his head. "Really that is all you have to say." "No. Give me a minute and I will scold you for leaving behind." Still laughing Twix says "Well I can fix one of those two completes." Calming his own mind he released his gift of overcast. Opening his eyes he watches as the clouds roll in and cover the sun offering shade for all of them. "Good thing you where here Kachina. Thank you so much." "No problem I'm glad I could help." "As soon as Karry is feeling a little better we all should leave though I think we are pushing our luck out here. Plus i promised Karry a spa treatment." Kachina smiled at the care this buck had for all of them and especially his familiar.
"Is the offer still open?" Kachina asked out of the blue. Twix looked at her funny not sure what she meant. "To go with you and Karry to the Spa." She giggle at his funny look and answered the unasked question. "Ooooh yes for sure." they stood looking at each other make Karry feel a little third wheel like but she could see the connection forming there and was happy for Twix. "Ok lets get moving then." Snapping out of the trance they were in Twix decides to carry Karry. "I can walk Twix my dear." But he did not comment and simple started walking back out of the bog. Thanks to his father he knew the way out with ease and they were all soon safely out of the bog and back into the Homewoods.
